Emerson
Once Emerson had figured out the connection he had with the Saviour, he thought she’d be easier to find. He was wrong, and it had taken far longer than he expected. Every time he was willed to see a vision, he became dizzy, and his vision blurred. He had to sit and let the vision consume him for however long it took.73Please respect copyright.PENANAte09rpJVX3
So far, the Saviour had interacted with humans, seen those who chased her and then being taken in by another pack. Emerson was shocked when the other pack didn’t harm the Saviour and he wondered if they knew more about her than his visions allowed him to see; he could only see the pieces he was allowed. 73Please respect copyright.PENANA9aBoR0B8Od
The past few days he hadn’t had a vision which enabled him to keep travelling. This day there’s a spring in Emerson’s step and he felt joy and comfort. Yesterday, paranoia and anxiety had taken over him which meant he couldn’t travel as far as he wanted.73Please respect copyright.PENANALcNUuf911e
“Finally!” he said.73Please respect copyright.PENANAMRWkZUTDs3
He saw the forest edge, not too far ahead and if he remembered correctly, a village mustn’t be too far away. Emerson gazed over the area, where the trees started to separate and noticed a tall, burly man headed towards to village. He wore dark clothing, black shirt and pants and extra-large combat boots. His hair was long and down but not braided, so traditionally he couldn’t have been a Warrior. Emerson smelt the air around him for scents of wolf. The man’s stature was a dead giveaway that he had the ability to shift and wasn’t human. His scent, however, was strong and pungent, but beneath that his scent smelt like cinnamon and molasses. Emerson had spent many years learning the art form of instincts and even though he wasn’t a wolf, he could still use the same tools as them, such as his nose.73Please respect copyright.PENANARPT9zK2DvO
Emerson crouched behind a near-by rock and watched the other man nestle his back against the wide trunk of the tree. The man stared off into the village and Emerson knew he must have had a visual of the outskirts from his position. He also knew that the man waited for nightfall and dread filled Emerson’s stomach. If the man was after the Saviour and on the same path as Emerson, he would be forced to act swiftly to eliminate any threat.
Emerson was trained as a young lad in the art of combat, even if he hadn’t practised for many years. He picked up the nearest rock that looked like it could inflict damage and crouched down as low to the ground as he could. He remembered that the element of surprise was a great tool if used correctly and continued to keep his body as low to the ground as he could. The afternoon sun worked in his favour and blended into the shade. Emerson briefly felt crazed, never in his life had he attempted something so stupid; almost like he didn’t have control of his body. He reached the closet tree to the butch man and raised his arm. His body trembled and his raised arm shook like a leaf.73Please respect copyright.PENANAdJ6zEoJ1jk
“Put the rock down boy,” the man ordered.73Please respect copyright.PENANAMb6YHFWri1
Emerson felt like vomiting and the question of whether to run or fight flicked over in his head multiple times. The man, got up quickly and turned his body towards Emerson.73Please respect copyright.PENANAidFBbM7ycZ
“I said put it down, I am no threat to you,” the man assured.73Please respect copyright.PENANAgVBsTBvCiQ
Emerson dropped the rock and stood up, brushing off the dirt from his clothes.73Please respect copyright.PENANAJeLgq2vIaZ
“Who are you? What are doing so close to the village?” he asked.73Please respect copyright.PENANA1jgO8AEjmO
“I could ask you the same thing, could I not?” the man replied.73Please respect copyright.PENANAg1mUDO0oMe
“Yes, well true. I am searching for someone,” Emerson confirmed, and ensured to not give many details.73Please respect copyright.PENANAeKVMC24zBe
“Same,” the man sighed.73Please respect copyright.PENANANajWYJGrZb
“Who are you looking for? Is your mate a human?” Emerson teased and laughed at the thought.73Please respect copyright.PENANAwcthZcnrzD
“No, looking for a friend.”73Please respect copyright.PENANAHZdvCCF4N0
As Emerson studied the man, he looked familiar but couldn’t work out where from.73Please respect copyright.PENANAKbohUQcweQ
“Care to give me a name? I may be able to help you,” offered Emerson.73Please respect copyright.PENANA0cFhBmATXK
“You can’t help me,” he replied, looking at Emerson up and down.
Emerson took offence and turned to leave.73Please respect copyright.PENANALJIx704pcR
“Wait!” the man called.73Please respect copyright.PENANAPQ6N37NbLm
“Yes?”73Please respect copyright.PENANAttgbbMYXyt
“Who are you looking for?”73Please respect copyright.PENANAhZP51jr0gh
Emerson thought for a moment and tried to find the best way to respond.73Please respect copyright.PENANAl7h8JPuAOB
“No-one that you would know.”
Emerson thought it was best to not be near the man and decided to wait until dusk to approach the village. The last vision through the Saviour’s eyes told him that he needed to look for a house, close to the forest edge, with a barn and some rotted fencing. He also needed to seek out a man named Angus. He closed his eyes and willed for another vision to take over so that he knew the Saviour was safe. Being left alone with his own thoughts was never a good thing. Emerson gave himself anxiety thinking over the reasons that he hadn’t had a vision. His mind kept coming back to the Saviour being dead. He shook off the thought, for it wasn’t true. If she was to die prematurely the sky would’ve turned black and the skies would rain for what would seem like an eternity. There’d be no sun, no moon and most wouldn’t survive.73Please respect copyright.PENANAWJmCVLIYJd
The next thought crept in Emerson’s mind. What if he failed to find her? What if she didn’t want to fulfil her duties, that she was born to do?73Please respect copyright.PENANAySWY7vX0Bb
He forced himself to block out the thought and prayed that dusk fell soon. Emerson glanced to where the man was sitting, and he had gone. He hoped that the man was able to find who he was looking for. Finally dusk came and Emerson made his way to the village and kept his eyes peeled for the details in the vision. To his left he saw the barn in the distance and was filled with relief when he realised it was easier than he thought. The property was on the edge of the forest.73Please respect copyright.PENANACmmZj9wLxQ
“GET OUT OF MY HOUSE!” a woman screamed.73Please respect copyright.PENANAxHtnNNpRAB
Emerson jogged toward the commotion and horror instilled within him. He realised this was the house connected to the property that the Saviour visited. As Emerson knocked on the door, it flew open with such rage. A stout woman stood there and glared at him.73Please respect copyright.PENANAtPbFMqCwHY
“WHAT THE HELL DO YOU WANT?”73Please respect copyright.PENANAoGTtgWryeD
He threw his hands up as if to surrender.73Please respect copyright.PENANAJgnftQBQ8m
“I mean no harm, just looking for Angus?” Emerson replied.73Please respect copyright.PENANAO4F1tAoQae
“Well, you and me both… and this man.”73Please respect copyright.PENANA45TMzNZ8La
She opened the door wider, and Emerson saw the same man in the forest, who sat at the table. He waved and gave a sheepish grimace. The man certainly underestimated her and should’ve used a kinder approach to searching for his friend.73Please respect copyright.PENANABwvRHs302o
“Can you help me find my husband?”73Please respect copyright.PENANAVwM1lff1FN
Emerson contemplated the answer and knew that it would deviate time away from finding the Saviour, but also knew that he might need her help in the future. After all, these people helped the person he was trying to find.73Please respect copyright.PENANA2PsnIcHvXW
“Right,” she said and started to close the door.73Please respect copyright.PENANAw0cYcoSXqS
“W-w-wait, I didn’t say that I couldn’t help you find your husband. If you let me in, I might know where to at least start.”73Please respect copyright.PENANAamR8P8BhcQ
The woman opened the door again and gestured Emerson to come through the door. He took a seat next to the large man and with a heavy sigh, the woman sat down too.73Please respect copyright.PENANAeztY72MELC
“Where were we?” she asked.73Please respect copyright.PENANAQ0diYJS0vl
“I’m sorry, it’s been rough the last few days. First, some girl comes out of the forest bare naked, can you believe it? Then my husband leaves a note and tells me he has some business to attend to in the middle of the night. THEN I find that the girl is missing and NOW I have you two on my doorstep at dinner time. What is the meaning of this? I want my husband back,” the woman continued to explain, with her head in her hands.73Please respect copyright.PENANAcSRJ8XhyTK
The woman continued to speak before the other man or Emerson could get a word in.73Please respect copyright.PENANA6OQ4igwtuz
“What are your names, first?” she asked.73Please respect copyright.PENANAtKxtaHDN7a
Emerson looked at the man, with his eyebrows raised, and hoped that he would tell her first.73Please respect copyright.PENANAh6CtzYr9NR
“James,” he said.73Please respect copyright.PENANACg0VH7ua6q
Emerson could hardly contain his excitement. James’ name rolled over his tongue at least a hundred times and instantly knew where he’d seen James’ face. He continued to tell the woman his name.73Please respect copyright.PENANAzwXwxeV5U7
“Emerson,” he replied.73Please respect copyright.PENANAaxX1ac73GJ
“James and Emerson, nice to meet you. My name is Fi, now where the hell is my husband.”73Please respect copyright.PENANAJyBFSDly3b
“I am just here for the girl,” James grunted and shrugged his shoulders.73Please respect copyright.PENANARgvMvNYA4R
Fi looked desperately at Emerson and searched for an answer.73Please respect copyright.PENANATCLp4WZFNT
“They are about one hundred miles North of here, probably,” Emerson stated.73Please respect copyright.PENANAmthKNi0TUU
James shot Emerson a look, like he was going beat more information out of Emerson.73Please respect copyright.PENANAlE1GPuGegx
“How could you possibly know that?” Fi questioned.73Please respect copyright.PENANA6waUaWZelq
“I’ve seen it.”73Please respect copyright.PENANAWfET0PWdfj
Fi scoffed at Emerson and rightly so. Admitting information like that to the human species, he would generally be taken to a prison for the insane. If Emerson lived in a human village, he would undoubtably be labelled as the ‘village idiot’ with his confession. Emerson’s attention turned to James.
“While we’re asking questions, why are you looking for the girl?”73Please respect copyright.PENANAJe6Gdq3WFj
James returned the stare and shrugged his shoulders again.73Please respect copyright.PENANAoz8Mkry7Jg
“I just want to make sure she’s safe. Harold won’t stop looking for her and keeps us awake night and day searching. I know she isn’t in the forest anymore; I followed her scent here.”73Please respect copyright.PENANAOnXnTMbHQ2
“Her SCENT?”73Please respect copyright.PENANAel16AUwHYj
Both men forgot there was a human in the room. Emerson tried to quickly diffuse Fi’s confusion.73Please respect copyright.PENANA0roCfkvCbp
“More so her odour, continue James.”73Please respect copyright.PENANAeQDceeZPkH
“Harold was furious that she ran, she screamed, and the command waved over all of us. We couldn’t move as she ran by us. It wasn’t until she was outside that the hold she had, released.”73Please respect copyright.PENANAEADkeRevgW
“I mean you’re searching pretty hard to be here, why not just tell Harold that you can’t find her?”73Please respect copyright.PENANAyiPmrIxtdR
James shook his head.73Please respect copyright.PENANA6cN1GptpYW
“He won’t take no for an answer. He’ll move heaven and hell to get her back and he says he knows what she is. She was kind to me, and I repaid the favour. I need to know she’s safe so then I know that I wasn’t the one that killed her.”73Please respect copyright.PENANANWZ13p22Cb
Fi looked horrified with the turn of conversation. Regardless of Fi’s reaction Emerson needed to know more and ignored the gasping from Fi to probe James further for information.73Please respect copyright.PENANAIF5FyzVFBA
“I gave her the key, the master key, to escape. I didn’t think she’d try and in the middle of the mating ceremony. I just wasn’t expecting her show at all,” James finished.73Please respect copyright.PENANAPGKKaxk8sD
“Did you say mating ceremony?” Fi gasped.73Please respect copyright.PENANAoMZjS4qPSi
“Fi, it’s not like mating, mating. It’s another word that our people use instead of marriage, but it’s more like a sacred ritual NOT to be paraded around a community,” Emerson explained slowly.73Please respect copyright.PENANAU8N1HJdu9U
“How barbaric,” she whispered.73Please respect copyright.PENANAPPprvS07AW
“Barbaric indeed. Then what happened?”73Please respect copyright.PENANAWoDeMRXylp
“Well, I ended up here,” James said.73Please respect copyright.PENANAGlSGpzu6HI
Emerson felt relieved that James had no intention of hurting the Saviour or taking her back to Harold.73Please respect copyright.PENANAFRUFwpQ7Xh
“…and my husband has ended up helping and is not home.”73Please respect copyright.PENANAlc6Sr2E6F2
No one asked why Emerson was there and for that he was grateful. He ignored Fi’s whining voice about her husband and continued to ask James what Harold wanted with her. James replied telling him that at this point Harold just wanted her back and, in his dungeon, wait for the right moment, knock her out and then mate her.73Please respect copyright.PENANAOL0cMTLC9C
“Are you going back?” Emerson asked.73Please respect copyright.PENANAkzlaamKxN8
“Probably not, if I can help it,” he shrugged. A strange look crossed James’ face.73Please respect copyright.PENANA7CXNGORGhy
“I don’t know what it is about her. She has a magnetic pull but not a mating pull. I just know that I want to help her and aid her. I feel like I’d probably die for her.”73Please respect copyright.PENANA1Ffl36o5Bk
James’ words comforted Emerson and forced him to relax. He didn’t need to kill James at all, and someone that he began to trust quickly.73Please respect copyright.PENANANQpeqE3992
“Fi? Do you mind if I cook us something for dinner? I’m starving and I’m sure you both are too,” Emerson asked as his stomach growled hungrily. She looked at him shocked and embarrassment spread across her face, for not offering something sooner to visitors.73Please respect copyright.PENANAxUuYTYfLgc
“I shall heat some soup that I had left over from the other day,” she stated as she got up from the table.73Please respect copyright.PENANAv4NdJ6r0DK
Fi called out from the kitchen bench,73Please respect copyright.PENANAEJj2jt1GN3
“Now what about Angus? How do we find my husband?”73Please respect copyright.PENANAtea3JeAHpe
“He will be here soon, we better set a place for him,” Emerson soothed.73Please respect copyright.PENANA1UZaPFk8G6
James looked over to Emerson, bewildered.73Please respect copyright.PENANASUdRNqHpCm
“Do you actually know that?” he whispered.73Please respect copyright.PENANALQf1kVFIN1
“Well, the pack from the North, gave him free passage home, so I assume so.”73Please respect copyright.PENANAHaUM7zSNq6
Fi appeared with two bowls of soup and placed them in front of Emerson and James. Their mouths filled with saliva at the smell. Both men were starved and hadn’t eaten a decent meal in days. Fi returned with two more bowls; for herself and Angus.73Please respect copyright.PENANA9FIlrIg3bo
“How do you know he’ll be here?” she asked softly.73Please respect copyright.PENANAokECFjP53z
“I just do,” replied Emerson, in between gulps.73Please respect copyright.PENANAmukS1ugYhD
Emerson burnt every single taste bud on his tongue as he skulled Fi’s delicious soup. He ignored the spoon on the table and used his hands to bring the bowl to his face. James copied and had a small stream, down the sides of his chin from the soup that missed his mouth. Emerson heard boots outside that stopped at the front door. The other two didn’t hear as they slurped through their dinner. Emerson heard a heavy sigh and the door opened.73Please respect copyright.PENANA2z9DCopZ1i
“Honey?” came a booming voice.73Please respect copyright.PENANAX6dMWnz9XK
“ANGUS!”73Please respect copyright.PENANAczsBhvqR54
Fi shot up from the table and the force felt like an earthquake erupted as her whole body hit the table. James grabbed his bowl and glass to prevent them from tipping over. Fi ran over to Angus and embraced him hard.73Please respect copyright.PENANAGbYrqpLpnp
“How are you? What have you been doing? Why haven’t you sent word? Where is Ivy?” she asked, looking over his shoulder.73Please respect copyright.PENANARHS8oYyhA2
Before Angus replied, he moved Fi slightly to left.73Please respect copyright.PENANAUfjUbB6G51
“Who are these people?”73Please respect copyright.PENANAg37Fga4KTb
Fi looked over her shoulder at us with a half-smile and introduced us to her husband.73Please respect copyright.PENANA13joBTmvsQ
“This is James, James this is Angus. This is Emerson and Emerson this is Angus, my husband,” she said whilst she gleamed. Emerson watched the couple as Fi fussed over Angus and took off his jacket to hang on the wall.73Please respect copyright.PENANAxMovYQP66Q
“Please sit Angus, I have hot soup for you, and we can fill you in.”73Please respect copyright.PENANAJOBFFzBKdw
“Please,” he grunted, eyeing us warily.73Please respect copyright.PENANAhEl5aPREzI
“These men are here for Ivy, and you are going to tell them where she is,” Fi said.73Please respect copyright.PENANAloABxSadbG
“TO HELL I AM FI,” Angus boomed.73Please respect copyright.PENANAFUX6M0leNH
Emerson and James did not expect that reaction. Emerson jumped out of his skin, and he could feel James start to anger.73Please respect copyright.PENANAsw1VD4Z88U
“Now, now Angus. We have just met, and James and I are friends of Ivy’s.”
Emerson nodded toward James.73Please respect copyright.PENANAYFLSW3bo10
“James helped Ivy escape from where she came from, and I am destined to help her.”73Please respect copyright.PENANAIX804vfPZq
Angus continued to eye them both and tried to read the truth between Emerson’s words. Angus’ next question through Emerson off guard, with a complete change of topic.73Please respect copyright.PENANAijDgYsqSfR
“What happened to your face?”73Please respect copyright.PENANAQbY8E9gf48
James started to nod in agreeance.73Please respect copyright.PENANAFq4McFZHST
“I was born this way,” Emerson confirmed.73Please respect copyright.PENANAe5UruA9BPk
“Well, I’ll be damned,” Angus laughed.73Please respect copyright.PENANA18hkZ2wcD8
Emerson tried to hide his confused expression and failed.73Please respect copyright.PENANAGf87Y1qcpU
“I bloody knew it,” Angus said, pointing his spoon at Emerson.73Please respect copyright.PENANAAneNBvVGd2
“Let me guess, the Seeker,” Angus said smiling and pointed his spoon at James.73Please respect copyright.PENANAIXtAR5xYUE
“…and the loyal friend? At MY table!” he guessed whilst laughing.73Please respect copyright.PENANABpJj2BnVu3
There was a long silence at the table when Angus finished laughing. He continued to eat, and Emerson wondered where the man had come from, to know more than he should. Angus broke the awkward moment and told them that he’s a weapon-smith. He told them to take what they liked as long as James and Emerson left in the morning. Emerson felt ecstatic that he was finally getting somewhere and closer to fulfilling his duties.73Please respect copyright.PENANAPU7cXxvV3v
“Why are you smiling like that?” Angus asked Emerson.73Please respect copyright.PENANAgmq2scMqw4
Emerson raised his eyebrows back at Angus and waited for the loud man to connect the dots with whatever passage he’s read in the past.73Please respect copyright.PENANAjERXT83uYB
“You’re a weapon-smith are you not?” Emerson hinted. He decided to push it along.73Please respect copyright.PENANAbn5b5AUXke
“Yes, and a bloody good one too.”73Please respect copyright.PENANAIMm7UT5MfR
“Can you wield your weapons?” Emerson continued.73Please respect copyright.PENANAYhAhRG40lx
“You bet I can, I had some of the best…,” Angus paused. The spoon dropped from his hand and crashed into the bowl.73Please respect copyright.PENANAVJUEgro4na
“… and I’m the faithful Warrior?”73Please respect copyright.PENANA8ES2z1vuTk
Emerson smiled.73Please respect copyright.PENANAxaRtFltTtL
Fi cleared the table and excused herself to the bedroom. Emerson thought it was a good opportunity to rack Angus’ brains about his knowledge. He needed to get James up to speed, although he acted like he goes with the flow, which wasn’t a bad trait to have. Whilst Angus stoked the fire to get comfortable for the night, Emerson used the time to grab out some of his scrolls and started to write. He’s experienced too many visions and too sporadically to complete any decent writing. Emerson felt elated, that the visions told him who to look for, even if he didn’t know it at the time. He couldn’t believe that the phenomena were never documented. Emerson concluded that different people could have had different experiences and connections to their Saviours. The hardest part of all this, was going to be convincing Ivy. Angus perched himself on the couch and continued to stare at Emerson while he wrote.73Please respect copyright.PENANA4pdP8sdnpT
“Yes?” he looked up.73Please respect copyright.PENANA70HGxgWj3k
“You’re a human?” Angus asked.73Please respect copyright.PENANAJclImor70h
“Yep, born from two wolf parents. I have been trained to still have wolf instincts, just no voice in my head or shifting abilities. My people call it a curse and I say it’s a blessing,” Emerson confirmed and pointed at his face.73Please respect copyright.PENANAc2yMDxiX5U
“Of course, it’s wolf lore that if a sacrifice needs to be made, it’s a human and here we are,” he continued.73Please respect copyright.PENANAmU0685LkmA
James stared at the fire and pretended not to listen to the conversation.73Please respect copyright.PENANAvRbyQ9n6J2
“You’re a wolf?” Emerson asked and lowered his voice to a near whisper.73Please respect copyright.PENANAfT2ud1ZTmO
“Yeah, except my mate ended up being human,” Angus said proudly, moving his head in Fi’s direction.73Please respect copyright.PENANACupP5ZQQpK
“I guess I had to choose my mate over my wolf,” he added.73Please respect copyright.PENANAbJ1DFnyhhz
Without looking away from the fire James joined the conversation.73Please respect copyright.PENANA1qix6uXN6Q
“I’m all wolf and sometimes my wolf takes over me. We have to choose now; my pledge to my Alpha or the loyalty to whatever Ivy is.”73Please respect copyright.PENANA7iNkCbL3uo
It baffled Emerson how they were all chosen. He didn’t get a choice as to who he was or how he was born. Angus made a choice years ago to forgo his wolf and live like a human and James needed to make his choice now. Emerson continued to scribe the information and the puzzle that he continued to piece together in his mind.73Please respect copyright.PENANAzoCAaNWdbD
“What are you writing?” Angus asked. 73Please respect copyright.PENANAeJlmll0WcR
“I’m writing my…our experiences as this all plays out. This prophecy was bestowed upon me and for the next person to learn from our mistakes and successes, it needs to be written and stored.”73Please respect copyright.PENANAkSHC822KGe
Emerson gave Angus and James two scrolls that were already scribed from hundreds of years ago. James read the information but looked clueless.73Please respect copyright.PENANAa9O0BEJsZh
“What is this all about? You need to explain this too me? I need to make the right decision.”73Please respect copyright.PENANAkl2wgn8n5Q
Emerson wrapped up his scrolls and pencils and made himself comfortable on the couch before he started to explain.73Please respect copyright.PENANAzbI53iXS32
“Hundreds of years ago, it was foreseen that a woman would turn the age of eighteen and with that, shift into the White Wolf. She was someone that was born a Royal Lycan but fostered at birth. A family would take her and raise her as their own, not knowing who or what she was. On the night of her eighteenth birthday, her first shift would be under the fullest of moons. When this process begins, the skies will turn red and storm will roll into the sky, filled with electricity but no rain. The One, which is me, must seek her out and guide her to the next phase of her life. She holds magik that none of us do. She will eventually have visions of what is to come, and what has passed. It is written that the White Wolf is the Saviour for all wolf-kind to come. She will make the ultimate sacrifice for us all. As with any prophecy, she cannot do it alone and that is where fate brings us into it. The Seeker to be by her side, the Loyal Friend to be her shoulder and the Warrior to be her strength.”73Please respect copyright.PENANAAMDXmMHHIu
“What happens if we fail, and we can’t keep her safe? What happens if the sacrifice that he makes is not great enough?” asked James.73Please respect copyright.PENANAha3J26Mch1
“Well prophets don’t like giving the full story, and that’s all I’ve got. The rest we have to find out,” Emerson shrugged.73Please respect copyright.PENANADRjFyZFrKl
“So, we follow her blindly?” James protested.
“I guess, yes when you put it that way,” Emerson confirmed.73Please respect copyright.PENANA4ZjGnzrhLX
“What about Fi? She’s my mate, I can’t just leave her here in the village alone. The rumours will start and that will make her life hell,” Angus spoke.73Please respect copyright.PENANAhD7NLNVu70
“Now, now settle. We don’t have to make any rash decisions tonight; we can sleep on it. Does Fi know about you?”73Please respect copyright.PENANAioV4of3I06
Angus shook his head and Emerson groaned internally. The situation was becoming harder.73Please respect copyright.PENANA0W35YF4gFA
“We also have another hurdle,” Angus said, which brought the attention back to him. Emerson looked at him and urged him to continue.73Please respect copyright.PENANAEMowKK0KOw
“Alpha Rowan, in the North, of the Black Alder Pack… is her mate,” he stated.73Please respect copyright.PENANANb7bU2UEsg
Emerson cursed under his breath and pinched the bridge of his nose.73Please respect copyright.PENANAXwFlrE65jY
“Are you sure? How do you know?”73Please respect copyright.PENANAC4SnGnQdMQ
“I felt it. His Warriors herded us into his territory. We met him at the pack house. I think everyone felt it as much as Ivy and the Alpha hid it.”73Please respect copyright.PENANAdlmJyinSIL
Emerson was suddenly exhausted from the conversation. He knew that this was the reason he hadn’t had anymore visions over the last few days. Ivy wasn’t in trouble but at least Emerson knew where she was. The Alpha was a problem though, and Emerson was supposed to bring her back into Lycan territory for a ceremony. That was also another issue, Lycan’s and Wolves were never fated to be together.73Please respect copyright.PENANATe0ku2eWFr
“Emerson, their bond… their bond was strong, so strong.”73Please respect copyright.PENANAkn96v6T5nW
“Emerson?” James piped up.73Please respect copyright.PENANAcAQgXaBLer
“Are you going to throw another twist into our fate, James?”73Please respect copyright.PENANAxWJZuXApt5
“Are you sure that she’s a Lycan?”73Please respect copyright.PENANA6VPXB1tGJB
“Well she has to be, the prophecy says – they are hardly ever wrong.”73Please respect copyright.PENANADvDhnNdY74
“But Lycan’s can’t hear their wolves because they are their wolves, it’s what makes them superior.”73Please respect copyright.PENANA2AbB3b4q2M
“What’s your point James?”73Please respect copyright.PENANA6BkCTp5ZWw
“Ivy talks to hers,” James stated.73Please respect copyright.PENANA7J59fVCoIS
Emerson went quiet and scrambled through his scrolls in his sack. Surely there had to be something written somewhere in his papers. He snatched the scrolls from Angus and James, desperately scanning the pages. He had gone from finding peace in knowing he’d found the people that he was meant to, to nothing making sense and everything he’d been taught is questioned. Emerson attempted to control his ever-mounting frustration and stress, he excused himself outside. 73Please respect copyright.PENANAlLDN4RmTTP
Emerson paced out the front of Angus’ home to calm himself. He tried to think of the next step and decided that they’d just have to go to Ivy. The thought scared the shit out of him. He was a human and literally needed to walk into a wolf’s den. It didn’t take long for Angus to sniff out Emerson as a human, let alone an Alpha and the rest of his pack. Emerson scorned that Ivy was mated already and to an Alpha, nonetheless. It added extra heartache, hurdles, twisted their fate and his quest to bring her home.
