Maxis, Elliot and Molly sit in the waiting room for what feels like five hours when it reality it hasn't even been that long. An hour or so at-least..
"Thirty more minutes to midnight." Molly pipes up, looking at her phone.
"Mmm." Maxis grumbles from a chair in the corner, briefly glancing at his wrist watch when a nurse calls out.
"How is she?!" Maxis panics, standing up.
"She's better. Her fevers come down, the vomiting has stopped and we've also taken bloods."
"What's wrong with her?"
"....I think that question is more appropriate for her."
"Can we see her?!" Elliot pipes up, standing.
"Of course!" The nurse responds and everyone follows her to Kiera's room. The nurse leaving after she's shown them the way.
"Kiera?" Maxis knocks, no reply earned. He heads inside immediately, running back out looking ghost white and Elliot almost crashes into him, Molly letting out a little gasp as she crashes into the back of Elliot.
"Are you okay?! I'm sorry!" Elliot panics, spinning around and proufesly apologizing.
"Where's Kiera?" She asks.
"Not in the room." Maxis answers, looking down, terrified. "Shit. She ran off, really?"
"What is wrong with her?" Maxis asks.
"She was kicked out of the only other job she's had, and her biological brother is dead. She's in shock, you idiot." Molly scolds him in.
"Hey! You don't speak to me like that!"
"Hey!" Elliot yells. "Can we go find her?! Standing around here taking digs at each other won't help us find her!"
"You're right." Maxis responds. "Fine." Molly snaps, arms folded and glaring at Maxis. "She couldn't have gone far if she's just given the nurses the slip now." Elliot adds on. Our three head outside to look for her.
They see her stumbling across the road, clutching her stomach. "Kiera, you idiot." Maxis says under his breath, going after her. Elliot follows, Molly behind him.
"Kiera!" Maxis says, grasping onto her.
"Let go of me." Tears streaming down her face.
"You can't just leave! You're not well."
"She's here, she's going to kill us!"
"She?" Maxis responds, confused when Elliot thinks to look behind them and he sees standing there donned in a doctors uniform, a mask over their face. Kaylee B.
Kaylee slips off one side of the mask, letting it fall and smiles. When they hear the sound of a car horn, bright lights coming towards them. Our friends eyes widen and the last thing Elliot hears is a screech and feels is being thrown.
Next thing he knows is his waking up on the pavement and lying beneath him is Kiera, her expression numb, but obvious tears. He sits up quickly, getting off her and helps her up.
When he looks on the road seeing an upturned car, and the bleeding bodies of Molly and Maxis. Kaylee B who was standing at the front entrance is now gone.
"Kiera!" He yells, shaking her to move, but she doesn't move. What the hell happened?! He asks himself. Did Molly and Maxis push him and Kiera our the way?
"She's going to kill us."
"Ah-" Elliot looks up at Kiera. "I-I think you're right. We need to get out of here, it's not safe."
"Then where is?" Kiera whispers. 'I don't know, I'm sorry. I wish I had all the answers, but I don't." He answers, picking her up as she isn't moving.
He carries her away from the scene, ignoring the chaos starting to unfold behind them, slipping into the night. They can't be helped up, getting questioned at the police station.
He hears a siren, and people screaming, can briefly see flashing lights, but he doesn't look back and Kiera buries her face, squeezing her eyes shut. They make it to the car, Elliot leaning her against it and he pulls out a pocket knife first, followed by his keys. Arming himself as he unlocks the car. When it's open and his not seeing anyone around them, he jumps inside, pulling Kiera after him and locks the doors instantly.
He hits the gas and flaws it. Speeding down the city streets, rain starting to buck it down, Kiera doesn't ask him where they are going, she doesn't look up from her lap.
"I don't know where is safe really, Kiera, but the Military compound is still a higher percentage safer than if we returned to the house."
She doesn't answer him, but she does look up, glancing at him and then the swaying wind screen wipers.
Elliot cruises down the road to the compound, ignoring security on his way, crashing through one barrier which was a simple piece of wood barrier that is electronically lifted up, it snapping.
He sees red and green lights in the mirror, some cars behind him and then hears a loudspeaker. "Pull over, now!"
He keeps going. Not until his at-least in the parking lot of the special op's sector. When he makes it there, he hits the parking break and several cars park, guns trained on them.
"Come out with your hands up!"
Kiera and Elliot slowly open the doors, stepping out, arms raised when another few cars pull up.

"Who is it? What is the meaning of this?! This is a private military base, we could have shot you-" but he doesn't finish his setence. "Elliot Coleman?!"
"Surprise?" Elliot grins awkwardly.
"Kiera Bailey. What are you both doing here? Where's my so- where's Maxis?"
"Maxis and Molly Fallon are dead."
"How?! And why she is dead?!" General Peterson asks annoyed. "Do you have even idea what time it is?!"
"Who's the intrusion?" A voice asking, someone else stepping out a car, followed by another person. It's Vincent and Nadine once they step into the light.
"You're an asshole." Elliot blurts out.
"I-wha-" and Vincent sighs. "I deserve that. I see the multiple missed calls on my phone from you, I'm sorry. What's going on, Elliot?"
"He says Maxis and Molly Fallon are dead." General Peterson answers on Elliot's behalf.
"I don't know-"
"A car hit them." Kiera finally speaks. "T-they, he pushed me out the way and Molly did the same for Elliot."
"Where was this, Kiera?" General Peterson asks, his temper lowering slightly.
"Outside the hospital."
"Okay. Why we're you four at the hospital?"
When Nadine approaches Kiera, quickly moving her hair aside as Kiera vomits again right there and then.
She's gasping for air afterwards. "Can you breathe?" Nadine asks. "Y-yes." Kiera chokes out, tears starting to stream again and she throws her arms around Nadine's neck, slipping to the ground. Nadine goes down with her, holding her and looks to the General.
"Uh, okay." The General responds, pulling out his walkie talkie. "I need medical on route to the Special Op's parking courtyard."
"I don't feel so well all of a sudden!" Elliot blurts out. "Elliot?!" Kiera panics when she sees him faint, hitting the pavement, the last thing him seeing on a building, a digital clock reading midnight. It's now June 2nd, 12 a.m.
"Elliot!" Kiera screams, Vincent rushing to Elliot's side.
