It's quite simple. Just write a story, song or poem about this picture. Try to go into great detail. Don't leave anything out.

Your main character is youtube sensation with over a million subscribers. She is the image of perfection to almost anyone who watches her, but once the camera goes off her life is terrifying. Tell me what exactly happens when the lights dim and the camera goes off.

Take the picture of the tree and make anything you can think of. Let your creativity flourish.

In the dark we don't know what lies ahead of us.  Sometimes it's scary other times it's just mysterious . Write a story about what happens to your main character when the lamps go off and the sun goes down.

Concept: “What’s making me want to live is the reason I’m dying.”

Word count: Not less than 500 words

Point of view: first person or third person

The narrative should mention three from the following:

- socks

- pumpkin carvings

- coffee stains

- taxidermy birds

- false teeth

- steak knife

- cravat

- contact lenses

- flute

- chopsticks

- desert sand

- wand

Hello my fellow tryouts, my new contest is about a picture and your fantastic thoughts. Look at the image on the cover and give me any prompt you wish. There is no limit to this, so fill free to type anything! :)

What is the human condition?  Thousands of ancient thinkers have given their best shot at this question, and now it's aimed towards you.Perhaps it's the condition of the heart, the mind, the soul, or the body--maybe all of it.  But what exactly is the human condition?

Word Limit: 1,000 words

Here's an example of something I wrote.  Very short, they don't all have to be as short as this... your word limit is 1,000 words, after all.

It's the human condition to hate

It's the human condition to want love

In the secrets of our hearts we hide

Hoping to one day be found

If we knew what we wanted

Than we would've found it by now

But we still

Don't know

What were looking for

This example is more poetic, but the entries don't have to be.  Communicate in any form of writing what you believe to be the human condition.

For this contest, I want you to take the image below and create something with it. A story. A quote. A song. A poem. Any form of art you wish. Here is my example, it came to mind the first time I saw this picture:

As I jumped and skipped in the pouring rain, I knew people around me enjoying the sunny weather. All of them under their dimly lit umbrellas, seeing an imaged sunny day. You may not know but, the world has changed. It rains everyday without end. We’re lucky to see a sunny day. People started to complain, get lazy, and slow go into depression.  So, in response, scientists created an umbrella that creates an image the holder wishes to view. It was created for the greater good but also as an experiment. Everyone in the world received one of these ‘wondrous’ umbrellas. I did was well, and you would consider me an outlier in this experiment. I tried it and within the first second I threw it into the back of the closet. I didn’t need an umbrella to enjoy life. I could see it with my own eyes. Rain falls everyday, just like everyone’s hopes for a sunny day. I didn’t lose my hope, I never had to have hope. I had all I needed. A light, even if these clouds brought what everyone else saw as a darkness.

I never understood why, I still don’t. But, it doesn’t matter. Life can continue to pour down on me but I’ll never coward away. I’ll always stay out, taking anything and seeing it as a light. Even if no one else sees it.

That's just my example, I just want your response or thoughts to this picture in a form of art.
