Everyone has an affinity to one of the four elements at birth and uses their element to help run daily life in a tribal-style village. A young girl, Nuallis, is born with an unfamiliar elemental birthmark and without access to any of the traditional elements. She discovers that she is a representative of a rare element only one person in the world can control at any given time, but her unique abilities draws a dangerous enemy's attention. Can Nu overcome her own her self-doubt and use her powers to save the world she knows?
A rewrite of a previous novel about Kieran's obsession with death and the brother he blames for it.
Rated 18+ for sexual references, language, and descriptive violence.
This is an experimental side project I've been working on after some urging from a friend to write my story down. It's a full account of my struggles associated with my older sister's suicide, both leading up to and after her death. It is my hope that it helps at least one person realize that bits of light can shine through in even the darkest moments.
The response I get from this is going to determine if I continue with it or not, so I encourage you to let me know if this is something worth reading about.
Trigger warnings abound including self-harm, depression, suicide, and probably others.
Also, feel free to give me title suggestions. My friend came up with it but I'm not sure it fits.
When nightmarish, murderous creatures materialize at the source of cast magic, a magic-dependant world is plunged into chaos. Under the rule of the Eyyliks, a race of humanoid warriors who can see the magic potential in people, those found to have magic are killed on sight for fear of these creatures appearing.
Having fled society after she awakened, a young sorceress with healing gifts meets an amputee who believes he holds the key to ending the dangers of spellcasting. The two of them travel to the Citadel, the fortressed home of the Eyylik, in an attempt to make magic accepted in the world and prevent the Shades from appearing.
Working Title and Description. Feedback, as always, is encouraged.
This is a personal project about my life before and after my older sister's suicide.
Warning: Not all stories have happy endings. If you think they do, you've never truly lived. Pain and sadness are what keep us grounded, and force us to fight for ourselves and the people we care about. You quickly find out what's important to you. My story does not have a happy ending, but I am still able to use these experiences to reflect upon my life and better myself. It's difficult, but it makes me appreciate the small things more, I suppose.
Here I shall be posting random things I notice in life. And probably dinosaurs. I love me some dinosaurs.
Graham Hayes is an extraordinary guy. Gifted with a supernatural ability to learn things about people through physical contact, he has never once hesitated to learn about peoples' past, their present, and their deepest darkest secrets. When he meets Anna, however, it feels wrong to him to learn about her in such a way. As their friendship progresses further, how can he justify a relationship when every touch of her skin gives him knowledge she does not give willingly?
Working title and description. This is my first romance novel, so any feedback is welcome and appreciated!
