The contest: using this format, rewrite the script into a trailer for a Teen Girl movie that sounds interesting. You can make a parody, a satire, anything that sounds comedic and worthwhile.

Rules: Even though this is rated PG-13, feel free to get as raunchy as you would like, make sure the spelling and grammar is up to par, and there's no word limit!

Prizes for top three winners: Darkside will draw a comic based on your trailer.

1. To fill or be filled with fear or alarm.

2. To drive away by frightening.

3. An older meaning: 'To scare up'; find, gather, or obtain with effort.

We go by the usual rules: the entry can range from a wee paragraph to a drabble, play around with the meanings, use all 5+ of the senses - and, of course - DO NOT write the chosen word in the entry! For an extra challenge, try to omit some common synonyms like frighten or intimidate, as well!

How does your protagonist experience fear? Do they feel stiff or tense? How loud and fast does their heart pound when trying to collect something? What's the risk that circles in their heads if they fail? How badly does every touch jolt them?

EDIT: Since this contest isn't that popular, I decided to put it to Creator's Pick. Also, I've been wanting to get back into drawing, so the Prize Winners will get a drawing based on their work.

Word Prompt: (to) Rip

Definition: (1) To cut or tear away/apart in a rough or vigorous manner, (2) to become torn apart or split open, (3) to move with violence, (4) to cheat, (5) something or someone of little value.

Challenge: Write about this word, describe it as best as you can, but don't use it in your writing.Meaning, use all 5+ of the senses to show the act of Ripping without using the word 'Rip'. What is getting destroyed? What does it sound like? How does the tattered ends feel like? Better yet, try to omit synonyms for Rip, like to Tear or to Shred.

I've found that one big thing most writers new and old have trouble with will always be the ol' "Show, Don't Tell" when writing. I hope that this will give everyone a good little challenge to improve their skills. There's no word count or rating, so go wild!

Hello stranger! This is a contest about comedy!! Yeah, you heard me! It's COMEDY TIME!! Alright, I'm calm now. I know I'm not the only one that kind of needs a break from all the serious novel writing, like the dark romance, or complicated mystery stories. So! The objectives are these:

1. Create your own character (be descriptive, but not too "Oh, Anne has blue hair.")

2. You can make that character the funny one, or the people around them comedic.

3. This is writing! Add in or make it revolve around anything you want: Fantasy, Fan-fiction, Romance, Mystery, etc.

4. There is no limitation to writing! Pour your hearts out! ^^

5. Please make this PG-13: I have no idea how people will make this inappropriate, but I'm still putting it out there (if your jokes are kinda in the R range, then just somehow hint them in there lol, because I actually find those funny ^^)

6. Add in some kind of media to "enhance" the reading experience (music or whatever.)
