The sun has set…
Moritz felt relieved because there were no significant incidents on the way. Mrs. Atilla and her children were now back at home, while Moritz entered a rectangular wooden building with a trapezoidal tiled roof located at the fork in the road leading to Vaughtort Forest and Vaughtort Village.
Inside was like a wide hall paved with dark brown wood. Moritz then entered a room located inside the building. He was having a discussion with the bull-man Beastrian, the male and female elves, as well as one dark elf. What Moritz was about to say was enough to make the four people in front of him panic.
"What!? Moldrin you say? Hmm….” The bullman beastrian looked astonished while clutching his white beard. “But… are you sure you didn't use any magic, Mr. Moritz?”
The other three elves immediately closed their eyes and looked focused. They both hold their right ear. They fly in telepathic mode.
"It may not be immediate, but Beng and the other little fellas going missing and almost being eaten by a grizzly wolf are strange circumstances,"
“Hm… moreover, I personally witnessed you cast the 4th level stinky camouflage protection spell. Did the monsters progress quickly?”
The bullman beastrian sipped the warm liquid in his bamboo glass.
"If that's what it is…. I've never met such anomaly in etherealm. There wasn't even any news from Lodrington about the problematic Yregalia Orion Transmitter. But, Mr. Bastle, don't you have any other remote detection spells?” Moritz insisted on sitting on the floor with his body straight.
“Hm… even if you say that…. Ughh…..” With a reluctant sigh, Beastrian who was called Bastle got up from his seat.
His right hand was raised, suddenly a stick appeared on the surface.
“Truesight!” Mr. Bastle tapped his wand on the wooden floor. His eyes were closed.
The surroundings of the five people around were suddenly quiet and a bit dark. The lower end of Mr. Bastle produces a circular, expanding water drop-like effect.
------------------------------Skill Info---------------------------
Truesight – Tier V Skill – Absolute vision. This ability is an improved version of Eyesight. Truesight is able to see things that are invisible at great distances.
About five minutes, the stick was lifted. Instantly the room returned to normal.
"There is something strange!" Mr. Bastle’s eyes open quickly. His face was covered with worry from imagined fear. "Black roses! There are black roses that cannot be seen with the naked eye around Vaughtort Forest!”
"Black roses!?"
Meanwhile, one by one the elves dropped their focus.
“The Dryads of the Pirn Forest have fled and are heading for Vaughtort! Lyrei will tell you the full details later! She will be here in a moment!” The young female elf, with light green hair in a ponytail, turned to Mr. Bastle.
“Is that true, Miss Esta?” Mr. Bastle turned to the other two elves. “How about you guys? Mr. Ruven? Miss Faegwyn?"
“I received news that some of the Elves in Pirn City were lost in the forest since two days ago. They have reported to the lord of Grenaldine still no response!” replied the male elf.
“So do I…. The dark elves are now stalking. They said, in the pirn forest there are black roses in abundance. Also, the further into the heart of the pirn forest, the more singing sounds. The singing is soothing and sleepy. Hm… I never heard of that before….” The female Dark Elf called Faegwyn clutched her chin in confusion.
(Huh? Singing? Shit! I'm feeling worse!)
Moritz immediately stood up as if in a hurry.
“Mrs Faegwyn, does that sound like a siren!?”
“E-eh? Y-yes…. They say it looks like a siren except it's in the middle of the forest…”
“Then please tell them to escape from there immediately!” Moritz turned towards Esta and Ruven. “Mr. Ruven and Miss Esta, could you catch up with the elf named Lyrei just now?”
"Father?" Esta turned towards the male elf called Ruven.
"Come on, Este!"
“Miss Faegwyn…. After you are doing your telepathy, can you accompany me to the Pirn Forest?”
“I don't mind. In fact… thank you!” Mrs. Faegwyn returned to focus mode, telepathic mode.
“I will gather villagers to spread this urgent incident! Meanwhile…,"
Mr. Bastle raised his wand. The tip of the wand's head glowed green. Then, an ancient writing like a long rope wrapped around the staff.
“Robe of Translucent Stars!”
The ancient writings were getting more and more widespread. Wrapped around the bodies of Moritz, Faegwyn, Ruven and his daughter, Esta formed a mantle. Then they are invisible..
------------------------- Skill Info --------------------------
Robe of Translucent Stars – Tier VI Skill – Grants allies a cloak of invisibility that can hide the smell and sight of the team from enemies. Gives resistance to physical and magical attacks by 200% and triples speed for a certain duration. When the skill is activated it will affect friends except himself.
.Bastle gathered residents to provide counseling on alert status to the village. Bastle said to work together to prepare the first treatment medicine.
Meanwhile Moritz, Esta, Ruven and Faegwyn headed for the Vaughtort Forest. They ran like there was no tomorrow.
“Mr. Moritz, you don't have a weapon?” Mrs. Faegwyn turned to Moritz while clutching her ear waiting for a telepathic message from her Dark Elf friend.
"O-oh, haha, we'll turn to my house first…."
After about ten minutes of entering the vaughtort forest, Moritz made a suggestion to destroy the black roses in the vicinity.
"Anyone have Eyesight magic and such?"
Without anyone raising a hand or even an answer, Esta immediately chanted the magic. Esta was in the middle position, while the other three were protecting.
The creaking sound of the bamboo trees and the roar of the wind from the pine trees made the atmosphere uncomfortable. Very minimal lighting from the nature fire that Ruven cast.
(Falsify procedure!)
(Widespread of Nightpact!)
(Pact of Yidhra!)
(Mind Connect!)
Moritz cast a spell silently.
(I think this is enough.)
"There are two black roses over there!" Esta pointed between the bamboo trees which kept on creaking.
“Eh? Th-that's right!” Ruven was surprised. "How come I can see too?"
Not only the ones Esta pointed at, but there were also many around them. They could see all the black roses.
“I cast a spell so we can see what Miss Esta is seeing.” Moritz took a small knife from his pocket and ran to slash all the black roses he saw.
"So that's it, Mr. Moritz? At this rate everything becomes easier!” Ruven drew his sword while casting a spell.
“6 Slash Twilight strikes!”
The slash caused the bamboo near the black rose to collapse and be cut into six thin pieces.
As if not to be outdone, Faegwyn chanted support magic. “Hymn of Clarity!”
All roses around emit a yellow glow to make them easier to find.
"That was very helpful, Mrs. Faegwyn, thank you!”
“I help as much as I can, Esta,”
They split up and cleared out all of the remaining black roses in the Vaughtort Forest.
.
.
About 1 hour passed….
They communicated by thought and had agreed there were no black roses left.
Now they come to the midpoint.
"Are there any changes?" asked Ruven, looking around.
"I don't know, father. But… I feel another aura!”
(Miss Esta is right. Something is approaching us. Elves are indeed reliable.)
#Taptaptap!
"Help…."
Moritz and his three companions turned backwards, toward the source of the sound a point deeper into Vaughtort.
#Pssiu~ Sapsapsap! – The sound of an arrow being shot.
#Wraugghleft~ heh heh…HUOORRGGGGGHH!!
“Grizzly wolves!” said Moritz loudly.
Moritz and his three partners ran towards the source of the sound. They were shrouded in worry and panic. Perhaps it was Lyrei, Esta's friend.
“ESTAAA! Tell me your location, ESTAAAA!”
The four of them continued to run towards the source of the sound.
“PLEASE!! ESTAA I'M HERE!!”
The source of the sound directed them to turn left. Esta didn't stop calling out Lyrei's name, not even her father, Ruven. While Faegwyn clutched his ear focused on waiting for news of the dark elves in the pirn forest. Meanwhile, the wrinkles on Moritz's forehead clearly illustrated how doubtful he was of the current situation.
(I… don't remember a pine tree this thick…. Did I forget?)
.
So….
.
The blue-haired female elf was leaning against a tree with a wound on her waist. While the three shell dogs had died lying nearby.
“P-please… uhh….”
#Sob..sob….
The elf groaned in pain.
