About 30 minutes had passed since they took a break….
Moritz came down from the stairs after taking his weapon. The weapon caught everyone's attention.
“Whoa! That's a cool shield uncle!” Lyrei commented admiringly.
"If it's not enough, you can take what's in the fridge. Just think of it like home." Moritz tightened his gloves.
"You're about to leave, Mr. Moritz?” Ruven leaned back on the couch.
“Yep. Done sooner, better?” Moritz grabbed the doorknob. While Faegwyn followed behind Moritz.
“Faegwyn… you too?”
"Yeah, I have no other choice…."
Ruven got up from his bed.
"Here, take this." Ruven handed her a necklace with opal beads. "I heard that the Dark Elf race in Pirn City is only them?"
Faegwyn took the necklace. "Why? You want to mock?”
"No…. I just want to say, come back safe and intact." Ruven lay back down.
"Thank You,"
Moritz also received an order scroll asking for help from Lyrei.
Moritz and Faegwyn resumed their journey.
They climbed up the valley and into the southern pirn forest.
“Mrs. Faegwyn, any news yet?” Moritz, who had been watching her, felt worried.
“Not yet, Mr. Moritz.” Faegwyn replied curtly.
During the trip, there were no special conversations. Moritz only felt bad to interrupt her telepathy.
Because the culprit in the vaughtort forest had been eradicated, they had no problems passing through the southern pirn forest or some villagers call it the advanced vaughtorn forest.
Now they were climbing the vaughtort mountains. The town of Pirn is at a certain height in the Vaughtort mountains.

Moritz looked at the road where the ground rose quite steeply. More precisely the vaughtort mountains. It would be quite draining, especially for Faegwyn who didn't use energy regeneration magic.
The night wind blew quite hard. Moritz was a bit worried about Faegwyn who, with her clothes slightly open, had a small circle on the chest. The majority of elf clothes are thin to facilitate space movement and mobility.
“Fuuuh… let's go, Mr. Moritz,”
Moritz held his shoulder.
"Don't force it, that's clearly impossible, right?"
"It's come this far, I must keep going!" Faegwyn insisted. It could be seen from her serious eyes, her right hand always clutching her ear indicating Faegwyn was worried because her colleague did not immediately send telepathy.
(Huh… what can ido when it's like this.)
(*”Is it time for the dashing one to come out? Hahaha!”*)
The echoing voice within Moritz appeared again.
(Dashing one, pfft, your ass!? We don't have time for jokes. You ready, right?)
(*"It's not like I have a choice, thought? After all… hm…."
(What is it?)
(I dunno….. That sister…. Well, maybe I'm exaggerating a bit?)
Moritz stretched out his right hand.
“Draconic Pact!”
“Calling : Cockatrice!”
#Srrrrreeeeww! (Aura swirl sound)
An orb-like aura circled around Moritz and Faegwyn. Gradually the black ball condensed. Black and countinued blackened.
“W-what are you doing, Mr. Moritz!?” Faegwyn was confused. She watched in all directions panicly.
Until her eyes went up to the front. She froze.
Something the size of an eagle's foot shot out of the pitch-black ball.
Going down, it seems like a tail.
Down again….
A reptile body, wings and a bird's head. Its purple-gray scales glisten silver in the moonlight. Its head resembles a rooster with feathers up to its neck and down to the body which is characteristic of a reptile. Its tail is that of a snake, while its wings resemble that of a phoenix.
"Good night, milady!" the creature greeted Faegwyn. The dashing flap of its wings frightened Faegwyn.
“Arggh!” The dark elf was suddenly pushed and fell to her knees. She overly surprised.
Moritz bent his right arm, then the creature perched on top of him. The creature glanced at Faegwyn's open skirt
“Hmm? Light blue? Nice color, but it's a shame it's not panties?”
Faegwyn immediately pulled up her skirt in embarrassment. So….
#BRUAAK!
"You dumb! What are you talking about, huh!?” Moritz banged his head on the bird's head.
It screeched in pain. “Duh, duh, duh…. Did you just warn when I was already hit? How presumptuous?” with its wings the bird strokes its head.
"You're being presumptuous, you idiot!" Moritz put the shield on his back, then helped Faegwyn who fell. “Mrs. Faegwyn, are you okay?”
“Uh… umm….”
After that Moritz explained all the misunderstandings that occurred. He said that the bird was a Cockatrice, an Ancient race, who had accompanied him since birth. Moritz added that he used the contract on Cockatrice to keep things out.
Moritz asks Faegwyn to keep the animal a secret from everyone. Moritz just wants to live in peace and not be dependent on other people.
Then they continued on their way….
Within a few minutes, they were just chatting normally. There are no boundaries even though the Cockatrice is an ancient animal, Faegwyn doesn't mind or bother. What's more, Cockatrice's voice sounded playfully shrill like a child's.
"But, why did you summon Cockatrice?"
"About that-"
“Ah! Ah! cute sister! Let me answer! Moritz is just a loner who relies on muscle too much. Even if I wasn't around, he wouldn't be able to bring out even a quarter of the skills he has, Kekekekekeke!” Cockatrice laughed happily while wagging its wings.
“Fufufufu….”
Moritz grabbed the Cockatrice's right wing, then brought his face closer to the bird's. He looked deeply.
“What are you talking about, fried chicken!?”
“Huh? You dare fight me in a small form, tadpole!?”
They get into a small fight. Faegwyn felt like she was carrying her two young children.
“Eh? I mean, the real cockatrice…”
After those words, Moritz and Cockatrice stopped their ridiculous fight.
"Sure, Mrs. Faegwyn. He is the size of a dragon. If I do a full summon….”
“My aura will attract monsters. Even another ancient….” Cockatrice's tone was low, he looked up at the sky. "That will trigger an ancient war."
.
.
In an hour….
An arch with the right and left corners of a blue will o wisp fire. The gate is painted white and made of ceramic and reads TOWN OF PIRN.

The two pirn city guards approached Moritz. Cockatrice is now hiding in both Faegwyn ballistic missiles.
"Excuse me, the two of us came here on the message Lyrei gave her through this scroll."
Moritz handed the scroll to one of the guards. Meanwhile, the other one, without further ado, welcomes Moritz and Faegwyn.
“Hey! Open the gate!”
The wooden gate opens….
After Moritz and Faegwyn entered, the gate closed again.
They continued walking straight, looking at the city of Pirn, which was still bustling at night.
Cockatrice looked up slightly from the soft crush of the twin Faegwyn mountains. The reptile bird looks happy to see the atmosphere of the city of Pirn in the middle of the night.
The houses resemble residential structures in the desert, tending to be white stones. It only looks shiny because it is made of granite.
The road is straight with colorful crescents and sparkling gold seeds. There is one central quarter, or square, a fountain with a statue of a goddess.
Various colored flaming candles are installed near the fountain, producing a soothing aroma.
Also in the square, there are many street vendors selling everything from baked goods to antiques.
Cockatrice turned to the left. He saw someone who drank some liquid in a bottle, then spit fire.
They stopped near the main square.
"You wait a moment, I have to report first!" The guard turned right, then straight on to a three story building.
Meanwhile, they took a small walk to enjoy the beauty of the city of Pirn even though it was late at night.
“Perhaps… you've never seen the city, Mr. Cockatrice? Faegwyn looked down at her chests.
"Well, that's because that idiot has no sense and always hides me around!"
"How fussy are you, fried chicken?" Moritz turned away with a mocking face while sticking his pinkie in his ear.
“W-what did you say!? Want to fight, huh!?”
“Mr. Cockatrice… don't move too much…. It tickles….”
“Ah, sorry.”
Moritz takes them to a shop that sells flying beef and jellysquid barbecue. Moritz ordered for three people. They then headed for a quiet seat.
While waiting, they had a small chat while enjoying the food. The cockatrice pouted slightly as Moritz forbade his body to stick out more than his head.
Faegwyn suggests she feed Cockatrice from that position. She took the piece of roast beef in half for the size of Cockatrice's mouth.
#Munchmunch!
“Too bad I didn't taste this kind of food long ago….”
“Fufufufu! Want some more?"
Cockatrice nodded like a child, so Faegwyn took it out again and fed it.
"Hey, cute sister, don't you want to eat too?" The cockatrice looked up.
“Hmm? Oh, I'm not hungry…”
The reptile bird had just noticed that Faegwyn rarely lowered her right hand. Wiping her right finger with a tissue cause got sticky from oil when feeding Crockatrice and bringing it back to her ear is troublesome, according to Cockatrice. He also realized that Faegwyn was worried about something. Besides being able to feel it because of physical contact, Moritz secretly discussed with him telepathy.
“Cute sister…”
#Munchmunch~ Gluck!
Cockatrice continued,
“What if I told you… all three of your daughters are fine? Does that make you more relaxed?”
