"Surprisingly objective," Tymon commented as he read the monument. "Admitting to starting wars. Whoever wrote this must keep a neutral mindset, given this was in pneumarian territory."
"They even marked major outside events like the Celestials," he continued, rubbing his fingers across the stone, trying to wipe away some of the mold and dust.
He looked down at the pup who walked around his feet.
"You must've sensed the energy coming from this too," he said before turning and continuing east.
At some point after that, while still in an old part of the city, he came to the edge of a chasm that ran through it. He remembered seeing the planet split from the north and south poles while on Gaia. The monument also mentioned the Celestial, Auryn, doing this out of anger.
Tymon stepped to the edge and tried to peer over to the other side, but couldn't see anything. Of course, the chasm was much larger than it appeared from space.
Looking down, he stared into the darkness within the bottomless chasm then trailed his gaze northward, astonished that one person could do that much damage.
Suddenly, as his attention was directed northward, his senses detected a flash of power from something dangerous lurking to the northeast across the chasm.
Tymon backstepped with a drop of sweat trickling down his face. He raised a hand and touched it hesitantly, then looked at the drop on his finger incredulously.
Was he afraid? No. Nothing could kill him.
"Still. What the hell was that?" Tymon asked aloud as he looked northeast again, but couldn't detect anything. It was only for a split second, but whatever it was he felt, it was far more powerful than even Rabae...
Tymon continued to look outward until the wolf pup began to bark abruptly.
"Be careful, someone might push you," Tymon heard a female voice say from behind him.
When he turned around, he saw a woman dressed in a dark green cloak that hid everything about her except her face. She had green and black hair and a light, sand-colored skin tone.
Surprisingly, she seemed eerily similar to a human, but not in the way a cindarian did. Then there was the strangeness of her energy. It felt just as mysterious as she was and...different. Not to mention, he could tell she was hiding most of it. A lot of it.
Tymon instinctually transformed into his hybrid form, noting that she was skilled enough to sneak up on him.
"Who are you?" he demanded.
The woman ignored him and calmly approached him, placing a hand on his chest.
"No, you don't have what I'm looking for," she muttered to herself.
She looked around as if searching the world.
"I don't sense it here.... Where's the savior? Perhaps I'm too early..."
Impatient, Tymon grabbed her wrist.
"Who are you and what do you want?" Tymon asked sternly as his eyes glowed.
The woman initially appeared annoyed as she looked down at his hand grabbing her, but her expression changed as she looked at him curiously.
"You can sense that I'm leagues above you, yet you stand confident before me... You're brave. No...it's not bravery. Carelessness...I see. You can't die. So, you're him..." Her expression changed to disdain.
"You're lucky I can't kill you. I'd do so now while you're this weak," she spat, her eyes cold with realization.
Tymon was confused, considering he'd never met the woman before, but he remained focused on his questions.
"I'm guessing you don't have that same luxury. I asked who you are," he reiterated as some of his darkness and Last Breath oozed from him.
"I heard you. My name's Jade. Now, let go of me before I take your arm off," she warned as greenish black mystical energy surrounded her.
Tymon let go, but remained alert and ready to attack if necessary.
"Why does your energy feel like that?" he asked her.
"Let's just say, I'm not from around here," she responded coyly.
"Then where are you from?" Tymon pressed.
Jade looked at him with pure hatred.
"I'm not obligated to answer you."
Tymon was about to ask what he'd do to make her hate him so much when, suddenly, four klevonians appeared out of nowhere just as the woman vanished in green smoke.
"Great," Tymon grunted as he turned his attention to his ambushers.
