When the pink-clad police rushed into the laboratory, the scene before them left them collectively stunned. Inside the dilapidated lab, overturned test tubes and containers emitting strange fumes were scattered everywhere. A few stray dogs, looking completely normal, were staring at them in confusion. The most eye-catching, however, was a Labrador dog exuding a strong strawberry scent, staring at them with an unusually gentle expression.
"What... what’s going on here?" the lead pink officer, a middle-aged woman wearing pink sunglasses, asked in confusion.
Lin Xiaoqiang quickly stepped forward, trying to explain. "Officer, this is all a misunderstanding! We were just... trying to stop a conspiracy to control the city with a pink virus!"
The pink officer raised an eyebrow, her tone filled with skepticism. "A pink virus? Control the city? Are you kidding me?"
Wang Meili hurried to explain as well. "It’s true! Officer, that dog... is the mastermind behind the whole plan! It wanted to turn all of Barbie City pink!"
The strawberry-scented Dog King, hearing Wang Meili’s words, let out a pitiful "Woof" and nuzzled one of the pink officers' pant legs.
"See! It’s still pretending to be innocent!" Ah Zhai lifted his camera, intending to play the "criminal evidence" he had recorded earlier.
However, when Ah Zhai opened the camera, the screen displayed nothing but a blurry pink image, making it impossible to discern anything.
"Uh... maybe the intense pink energy earlier... erased my recording," Ah Zhai explained awkwardly.
The pink officer’s face grew even more skeptical. She waved her hand, signaling her subordinates to "detain" the three of them.
"Whether your story is true or not, you did cause damage to the factory and disturb public order. You’ll have to come back to the station with us."
Just like that, the three members of the Supernatural Research Club, unable to celebrate their victory over the "Pink Frenzy Virus," were escorted by a group of pink-clad officers to the Barbie City Police Station—a building with pink walls.
Inside the station, they underwent a lengthy interrogation. No matter how they explained Dog King’s conspiracy and their "heroic deeds," the pink officers remained skeptical. After all, in a city dominated by pink, hearing someone speak of a "pink virus" attempting to control the city sounded like an absurd joke.
The Dog King, who had been brought to the station as well, continued to emit a sweet strawberry fragrance, wagging its tail at every officer that came near, with no trace of the sinister cunning it once had.
Just as Lin Xiaoqiang and his friends were starting to lose hope, an unexpected person appeared.
The Mayor of Barbie City, dressed in his signature pink suit, walked into the interrogation room.
"Officers, these three young people are my friends. I believe they wouldn’t do something like this without a reason," the Mayor said gently.
The pink officer, seeing the Mayor take the lead, became more polite. "Mayor, we’re just doing our job. They were found in an abandoned factory, and..." She pointed at the strawberry-scented Dog King. "There’s also a dog with a strange scent."
The Mayor looked at Dog King with interest before turning to Lin Xiaoqiang and the others. "Can you tell me exactly what happened?"

Thus, with the Mayor’s guarantee, Lin Xiaoqiang, Wang Meili, and Ah Zhai were temporarily released. However, they would have to find solid evidence to prove Dog King’s conspiracy in order to completely clear their names.
