-My life as a baby-
First Person View - Nex
I now feel quite foolish, how didn't I figure it out? Within Liana...I was a developing fetus!
Apparently she’s my mother.
Everything makes sense now, me being unable to move, my hibernating like state, the dark imprisonment that felt safe, the weird dialogues...haha it should have been obvious, excluding “MySpace” and...i'm still alive...also why am I here? can I return...as a matter of fact, nothing makes sense.
What ever the case may be, I first ought to gain as much knowledge as I possibly can, in order to make the necessary preparations, I need to start now.
I love to plan my goals out, nice and clear. Keeping things simple gets you places. For now I need to learn the language and find out if I can make it back to modern earth.
Another problem, being, I can only remember up to 12 years of my past life, there were still scanty information floating around my mind, like owning a business called “Vector Era” although I have no clue what I sold or did.
I wanted to know what happened to the past me.
I would constantly analyze everything, my brain soaked up information like a sponge, it was awesome. I studied people's behavior and daily life activities, mainly my mothers. She often took care of me 24/7 after all. Truth be told, the only one to take care of me, really.
My father didn't do anything with me, he would often train with what I now believe to be my older brother “Jagar” he was a monstrous 14 year old boy. He was jacked, his muscles were well defined. Although he was quite robust, he still moved with grace, extremely nimble.
I often witnessed the unique display when Caicar sparred with him. My mother took me out in her arms towards the backyard to watch herself.
I could tell my father was very proud of Jagar, and with good reason, Jagar was very young and capable. When I saw them manipulating elements with mana, I was actually not surprised...after everything I been through, this was easy to swallow. More like I found it interesting, these skills seemed like it came out from a movie scene. Maybe I could learn it. Speaking of which, I also found “MySpace” to be very hard to enter now that i'm not in my mother's womb, it took a lot of time and concentration to warp inside, also the grey paths were now very dense with massive amounts of fog. The path was no longer clear and obvious.
I have a love and hate relationship with this baby life, at first I was scared, but with time I got use to it. Sometimes I enjoyed the carefree pampered life, but most of the time I felt defeated and powerless.
I even tried explaining my situation to Liana, but only baby sounds would come out. I felt so odd, I was sad, still confused...I had a feeling I didn't belong here, I miss home…
I was also bored out of my mind, again. There was only so much to do, eat, take unplanned dumps, urinate everywhere, sleep… thats pretty much all I do, It was the life of a cripple.
Im pretty sure this place, my household, was quite poor. Everyone smelled foul and had bad breath. Their hygiene was horrible compared to the modern times that I was familiar with.
Most of them had jagged teeth.
I made a mental notes to create a toothbrush and toothpaste when I grow up, don't want to end up with a snaggle tooth!
I did notice Liana washing and scrubbing her teeth with a white cloth, she would often use a mixture of herbs, making it into a sort of mash, old fashioned toothpaste? It left her smelling bearable for a few hours.
The crappy part of all this were the lack of mirrors, these fools had none!
I also noticed Caicar, my father, washing his teeth rarely, no one seemed to mind his putrid breath.
When we had visitors, they would immediately try to make me laugh, sadly their unbearable stench would pound my face, I often turned away from them in disgust. Do they not wash their teeth?
Another noteworthy item was the bathtub, seemed to be wooden, it looked like a wide barrel cut in half. My mother took a bath every 3 days, unless she had her time of the month…
Alright I feel like a stalker, I knew way too much about my own mother. I only realized this when Liana started acting weird around me, she often looked at me with odd faces, as if troubled or worried about me. Thus I stopped.
I shifted my focus to study their verbal language and body language. Their handshakes intrigued me, they weren't modern that's for sure, it was an upwards handshake, as if to arm wrestle.
All in all I slept, ate, pooped, peed, cried, observed, and lastly entered “MySpace” out of pure boredom. And this was how I, Nex Gallegos, spent my days as a baby.

-Seasons-
Third person view343Please respect copyright.PENANAcC4vhyiIHv
There were four distinct seasons in the north east region, where the tolkan islands resided in. The first season was known as,
Heat Wave, it was a season people looked forward to, nice and sunny, great for fishing.
The second was known as,
Descent of the clouds, this was a season with an amazing natural phenomenon, no one knew what caused it, but a thick fog would come and go throughout the months, covering the entire province.
The third season was,
Zero Zone, the fog of the last season would cool the area and block out the sun, causing the temperature to drop, this was known as the harshest season, fishing became scarce and was tough due to the water freezing. The only benefit of this time was the spoiling of food was greatly decreased.
The fourth was a time of renewal known as,
Rebirth, this was a pleasant season, since the cold subsided. Also since life would spring up, it would often increase the mana within special areas, the preferred time to train in the edics of elements!
2 years have passed by since Nex’s birth. Year 5773

-The Gallegos household-
Liana was once again pregnant, 5 months in. These past few years have been gloomy in the household, everyone knew by now about Liana and her feelings towards Nex, she feared him. She occasionally would talk to Caicar about it, he would simply tell her “its fine, I dont see whats the fuss about.”
In truth Caicar worried as well, “Do I not give him enough attention? maybe he's jealous of Jagar’s talents.” Caicar decided to bond a bit with Nex, he didn't want to be a bad father after all. On a sunny day, Caicar approached Nex, with the intentions of showing him the arts of “Mana Clothes.”
The faint deep footsteps of Caicar drew near to Nex. His son has grown quite a bit, still slimmer than Jagar. Nex had pitch black hair, with dark brown eyes. He gave off a douchebaggery aura, acting indifferent towards people.
Caicar was a man with many jokes, this was after all how he conquered the town beauty, Liana. He spoke with a humorous voice “Nex, come here you little uptight jerk, I want to teach you something interesting.”
Nex looked at him in a curious manner, Caicar simply smiled at him while gesturing to follow him to the back yard.
Trying to sound vibrant, Caicar shouted “OK! you’re a bit too young...but screw it, i'll teach you anyways, seeing how you don't play with the town kids, and...well, you don't do much actually, except write that weird gibberish on papyrus, which is expensive…” he muttered the last words.
“Anywho, sit down Nex, tell me, have you ever heard of “Mana Clothes”?
Nex looked around the grass, seemingly thinking hard “hmm… nope, im interested in it though, what is it father?”
His father now wore a smug grin on his face, he felt smart passing down knowledge to his son.
“Ill teach you the basics, first ill explain mana, which is the energy your body naturally produces, supposedly it comes from your blood although this is not proven, it is merely speculated. Everything in this world, animals, plants and even ores contain or produce mana. With it, you can do many things, like produce fire or even water out of thin air!
Only talented people can do this, however, no matter the talent, with hard work you can still produce your own natural mana clothes.”
“Oh? this is very interesting, please do tell.”
This truly excited Nex, till now he's felt miserable, alone and helpless. He could feel slightly outcasted from his very own family. finally his father had taken notice of him.
In truth Nex told himself he wasn't jealous, he was after all mature and not a native of this world… but deep down inside, he too, like Jagar wanted to be doted upon.
He had a feeling he was not returning to his previous life, so he settled in this new world internally. When Nex had heard his father's footsteps coming towards him, he was overjoyed within his heart. “Father has something to tell me something? finally!”
Caicar, seeing his son interested in what he was talking about, couldn't help but feel taken back.
Things in general bored him, as if he's seen better, which was the case. But when it came to magic he was actually happy to learn about it, since he's never experienced anything like it.
Caicar continued his explanation.
“Nex, this clothes is very special and beneficial to you. Youre lucky Liana is well versed in the sowing craftsmanship, she does make all our clothes by hand after all. This skill makes her mana sowing much easier, she could make a mana shirt in 5 years! she's very talented in this area, look.”
He pointed excitedly at his boots, Nex simply stared at it, they seemed normal, dark brown in color with a few streaks of faint blue.
“She made these for me back in the day, these were infused with the element of Air. These bad boy’s boost my speed at will, all I have to do is generate mana out of my feet. This took her 4 years to make.”
Nex frowned at the time it took to manufacture these mana clothes.
“Father, why does it take so long to make, why not just buy it. Its best to make a specialist design these for you, why waste time? Is there some benefit of doing it yourself? If so what are they!”
Nex spewed questions while thinking. Finally stopping to look at Caicar.
Caicar was inwardly shocked, as his son talked he couldn't help but recall the age of his son, two years old and already having a proper conversation, not even Jagar showed this type of innate scholarly talent. Kids at his age usually have choppy dialogues, struggling to use the right verbs and adverbs to properly construct sentences, some timid children couldn't even tie three words! let alone a full sentence.
“huh? oh.. um yeah well, it's extremely expensive to do so… And yes, its better if you use the clothes you made yourself, mainly for two reasons.
Coughing while recomposing himself, he said.
“Firstly, using your own mana clothes resonates well when you yourself use it, for example, these boots are not made by my own mana, therefore the effectiveness is reduced to about 75% of its potential in speed boosting. If I were to make these boots myself, its boost would be at 100% effectiveness.”
“I see, and the second reason?” Nex stared at Caicar intently.
His father lightly chuckled, this was the first time Nex showed this much interest in anything really.
Scratching his head, he looked at Nex with a smile.
“Yes, the second reason is ‘Internal Storage’ remember how I told you mana comes from the blood?”
Nex nodded.
“Well, since mana clothes were forged with your very own mana, then it could be stored right back into your blood! You can take it out at will, this isn't limited to only clothes by the way, weapons, trinkets, accessories you name it, as long as it's formed with your own mana you can store it back into your blood. This is why it's speculated that mana originates from the blood.”
Caicar looked at Nex, waiting for a response.
“Amazing... although it's not good business short term, unless you sell to nobles…it is indeed valuable to make it oneself for protection and boosts. Father, how can I make these clothes, teach me!”
Nex has been writing down plans and goals, one of his objectives in this new life was to own a business, he was sure that he would become wealthy. He did after all have a large and vast vault in his mind, waiting to be opened. It was full of ideas from his past life. Only, he didn't know where to start, he discarded mana clothes because the amount of time it took was too precious. “I’ll have to think of another business start up plan” he muttered to himself.
He was excited about these clothes, it was very convenient. He brain stormed on how this would benefit his life, he wanted to learn it quickly.
Caicar questionably said “Business?... haha you're too young to be thinking of money matters” Caicar was amused, staring at his son kindly, he then hugged him out of no where, “Son, ill rather have an odd child then a normal punk, haha!” he seemed contempt.
For the first time in his life, Nex felt a warmth that was so deep and profound, he hardly understood it. It was unconditional love, his father truly cared for him!
Caicar then called over Liana and told her to start teaching me the arts of mana clothes.
Hesitantly, she obediently obliged.
“Nex, from now on, every morning after breakfast, Ill teach you.” Liana squeezed out a smile.
Although she recognized her son, she truly disliked him, he made her feel uneasy.
“Oh, Liana, has Nex met Briana yet? She's quite the prospect, when she grows up she'll be just lik-”
Liana stared at him in fury, Caicar in return didnt dare finish his sentence. In the past, he messed around with a lot of the town girls, although he didn't bed Briana's mother, he did try. She was known for having a voluptuous body that seduces all men, including, specially, Caicar!

The following day, Nex wolfed down his breakfast. He did not enjoy the food of this culture, the vegetables were nothing like the ones on earth. They had scanty spices, few in variety and quantity. It was tasteless food, quite bland according to his pallet.
Also, meat was expensive and would only be eaten in special occasions.
Nex was impatient today, he usually spent his days practicing the language, though, he already has a firm grasp on the lingo.
So he had all his attention on writing out plans and trying to enter MySpace. To him, it was fun entering this realm, It was something he's never experienced before, although fun, he did eventually get wary of it.
It had become difficult to progress.
So when he was going to receive lessons on mana clothes, he was naturally overjoyed. His mother Liana, seeing this told him “Alright Nex, wash your hands and face, once you're finished, meet me in the back yard, i'll see you there shortly after i'm done cleaning here.”
Doing so, he walked outside seeing his father chatting with Jagar, his brother. It was rare for them not to be practicing in the morning, something was up.
Them seeing Nex walking outside stopped talking, only staring at him, “Little bro, it seems your body is ready today for the first tribulation!”
His father looking at him and said in a slow, calm manner, “yes...you should be able to handle it, if we wait any longer, it would be detrimental.”
Nex couldn't help seeing a worried expression on his father's face, it lasted for a split second only to be replaced with a prideful look.
“Lets begin” Liana said behind him, still on the porch.
