UNCONTROLLABLE TAKA FEELS
I feel so deeply for Taka. They’re kids, even though they are mentally adult for the most part. Jugo’s only 18 and the others are 16/17. I believe they deserve some happiness in their lives. While I feel bad for the “normal” characters like Sakura and everything, of course, I feel far worse for Taka, as they don’t even know what normal is. I feel like they’re the most fleshed-out secondary characters in the series, with the most interesting backstories, especially Karin since Kishi focuses on her. Kishi tries to make the horrible pasts and twisted personalities of everyone on Taka funny because if he didn’t, their character arcs would be even more depressing than they already are. But it doesn’t take a genius to see that they’re all really fucked up and it’s because of the village system that they are what they are.
I just want to comfort them all. ;~; Naruto is on some level, very political. Everyone in Taka got fucked over majorly by the village system (Karin’s unprotected village was massacred, Juugo was shunned, and Suigetsu was raised in the Mist when it was still a bloody, murderous mess), and they deserve some kind of justice and some kind of happy ending.
They all fell through the cracks, and that would normally make them mere detritus to be trampled on in the ninja world…but they were all strong, so they survived, even with no one to support them.
And they’re stronger together…their support structure is each other. That’s why they fought for each other during the Hachibi fight. They’re all used to being alone; to fend for themselves - they don’t want to admit they need each other.
Everyone thinks Karin only cares about herself and/or Sasuke, but look

AND OF COURSE, SASUKE AWAKENS AMATERASU TO PROTECT TAKA AND THEN RISKS HIS LIFE AND REVENGE TO PROTECT KARIN SPECIFICALLY WHILE SCREAMING HER NAME DESPERATELY IN HIS MIND AND MAKING A RIDICULOUSLY PAINED AND TERROR-STRICKEN FACE WE’VE NEVER SEEN HIM MAKE, AWAKENING ENTON KAGUTSUCHI, AN ABILITY HE DIDN’T EVEN KNOW THE UCHIHA HAD (NOT EVEN ITACHI) TO SAVE HER, EVEN AS JUUGO, THE MOST GENTLE MEMBER OF THE TEAM, TRIED TO PULL HIM AWAY FROM THE BATTLEFIELD BECAUSE IT SEEMED LIKE A LOST CAUSE
