Phoenix and Zayne had always been best friends, but when Zayne got engaged to her sister, things got a little grey. Even more so when a year later, and a week before the wedding, their entire village burns to the ground, taking the 'soon-to-be' bride with it. 

In a race against time to the capital, Phoenix and Zayne will forge new alliances, make new enemies, and have to come to terms that in life, you can't have everything you want, even when there is nothing holding you back other than your own personal morals. 

Phoenix will  have to learn that not everything is as it seems and even people you trust the most will stick a knife in your back.
