She watches the grain field as it dances with the breeze, and she imagines a song playing in the background. It sways back and forth, each grain following the other’s pattern, creating synchronized motion, making her lose herself to their harmonized dance.

"Mouse" is an ongoing collection of flash fictions and short stories from the quantum entanglement that is my imagination.

Like the splitting of particles in quantum theory, these stories, no matter how far apart, share the same foundation.

Enjoy!

Sometimes life isn't what it seems. Finding your way through the maze of paths can be disheartening and frighting. Follow this journey through soaring highs and abysmal lows overcast by mystery.

*Trigger Warning*If you struggle with mental illness and/or the following, this story may not be suitable for you.

• Suicide Ideation• Self harm

*This list may be subject to change as the story develops.

About the projectMy struggles with mental illness has lead me to express my experiences, thoughts, and emotions through many different mediums. Writing happens to be one of them. Time to time I would go onto my Tumblr and write short stories or poems and never post them. After a few years I had accumulated a small collection of written pieces that I went on to finally post to the public. Met with enough good feedback I decided to take most of my writing and post them on sites like this. Now I'm just waiting to see where Faded Blue takes me.

How Faded Blue came to be is easy to explain. As to why I write these stories will hopefully be explained by reading the collection. Currently their is no foreseeable end goal for Faded Blue.

Message to the reader

I hope you enjoy reading Faded Blue! Comments, constructive criticism, and suggestions are greatly appreciated.

*Parts of the collection have been used in contests as pre-written material.

Hi! This is my first story here, and I'm still getting the hang of it, so wish me luck!

(Also please note the autocorrect on this device doesn't function properly so be prepared for a few weird mistakes.)

Here we go!

My name is Reese Fletcher. I'm a sort of geeky person - computers, phones, tvs, you name it; I can fix it, and give you an annoying geeky joke about it.

I  tend to get A's and A*'s an all my tests, and my social life is pretty good (more like barely adequate), so you could say my life is dangerously close to perfect.

But then something happened, a couple of months ago, that changed my life forever.

That's exactly why you need to read this. Your very existence depends on it. So if you want the chance to live 'till your next birthday, DO NOT STOP READING.

They're coming.
