Describe something, anything in anyway and let the people figure what the thing is in the comments. It can be super unfigurable or pretty simple. It can be funny or it can not be funny. It can be a few words or as many words as you want.

Christmas? What the-!

What! So early?

Yep, but it's not what you think. All that feast of meals and unwrapping presents close by a Christmas-tree and outside the window everything is coated in thick white snow.

Nope.

How about your character is SO not looking forward for Christmas. Not only because everything's early in shops but perhaps something else is bothering ...

May it be comedic, dramatic, romantic, epic just Christmas needs to be mentioned or symbolized and the character is not happy about it.

Time is ticking, so go for it! ;-)

Romance can't be that bad... Can it?

We all know bad romance stories; Mills and Boon, Twilight, 50 Shades of Grey, but could it get any worse than that? That's what I want to know.

The story can have any plot at all, just must contain romance, but it has to be terrible. The worse the characters, the more painstaking the story, the more wacky the language, the more plotholes, the better.

CHALLENGE: Include characters in the LGBT scale, or a character, or characters, who aren't human.

Hello everybody!!

Just an FYI, yes, I know this kind of contest has been mentioned before, but it's mainly in the category, "romance" or "adventure." This contest is mainly about music, hinted from the title ^^.

Just choose any song, and write a fictional story, with no word limit or issue limit. The characters should be fictional as well. Also, remember to put the name of the song before the story begins. It would be great if it was romance or adventure, mentioned above if you paid attention ><.

Also, if you think it'll be even better, just put "que music," then it'll mean that the readers should listen to the music while reading.

Important:- Name of song (I honestly do not care whether it's a cello sonata or a modern music)- Fictional characters, and optional fictinal setting- preferably romance or adventure- NO word or issue limit- try and hint in a small line from the song into the story

Song Ideas:- "Scars to Your Beautiful" - Alessia Cara (I'm listening to it while writing this lol)- "Come as You Are" - Nirvana- "Yesterday" - the Beatles- "i hate you, i love you" - ft. Olivia O' Brien and someone else I do not know of- "Ride" - Twenty One Pilots

Good luck everybody! And everybody has 4 weeks, so that's plenty of time to finish at least one issue!

Only Thirteen Words...

In honor of October, Halloween, and unlucky thirteen, let's have a thirteen word story contest! I know. Six words is just few enough to make an oomph, and ten sounds too tame. But what about exactly thirteen? Sounds, haunting.

So, write a story with exactly thirteen words, no more, no less. Any genre, though darker themed ones usually work better, and rated PG-13 or less. If you're going to talk about more adult subject matter, it's time to get creative with those euphemisms.

Starting October 8, 2016, you'll have four weeks to make your masterpiece. Three entries per person, and exactly thirteen words each. Any more or less won't count towards badges (sorry, guys). Judging by ShadowBobcat10, the infamous (or not) sci-fi writer.

Now are you ready? Four weeks.  Get. Set. GO!

Last Minute Clarification:Contractions count as one word. "It's" is one word. "Don't," and "we'll" are both one word. I'm noticing a few issues are missing one or two words due to contractions, so I just wanted to make that clear. Sorry for posting this so late.
