This contest is about taking two of the most polar opposite themes and mashing them together. In this case sci-fi with such works as Starship Troopers, Bladerunner. The other theme is high fantasy with elves, goblins, ect. You can make it fanfiction, if you want. I'd say keep it under 2000 word, but going a little over is ok, as well.

Calling all writers, its your time to shine and write your hearts out. I want you to make up your own fantasy world or take it from a book or movie and write about it. Include a new type of magic or like I said before something from a book or movie, this can be as long as you want but as long as I'm able to read it with much interest; well maybe under 10,000 words. I don't care about detail and dialogue and stuff like that, I want the plot to be intriguing.

Sorry if this is asking for too much, I thought it would be nice to make a contest like this. So please enjoy yourself while you write, don't rush and make this great. And always have fun!

You may write about anything you want as long as it is between 250 to 2500 words. And it has to be interesting.

Write the best fanfictions of your favorite anime, tv series or book, or ship two people together! You can do a crossover of two or three different things together, heck, ship Spider-Man with Clary Fairchild or something! You can do whatever you want as long as it's thumb sucked :)

Meaning pure imagination.

Kind of odd to be thinking something like that in the middle of winter, right?

Anyhoo, imagine your character is walking through a dessert, what is the character's purpose to walk in a dessert? Destiny calling to her/him or something else?

What will they find, what will happen while walking, riding, flying or whatever your minds calls out for to this scene.
