‘What do you mean with evil?’, Sarah inquired. And so Ned gave his reply:
‘Just a hunch. Maybe created through the demon in me. I don’t know. Well, I already found it weird that there were or at least I spotted no people while flying over the city!’
‘Now that you mention it!’, Sarah uttered. ‘Well, maybe they are all just hiding. I mean, the moon, the ghouls. Who wouldn’t be hiding in this kind of situation. Let’s just go! Maybe we’ll find something or someone along the way!’ Before them was a metal door, carved in. Emilia gave it a push with her foot and it opened. There was no light in the stair house. So the group advanced slowly. That’s when they heard a sound. They were on the fifth level. Emilia was about to descend further when she heard Sarah called after her:
‘Emilia, I know we are in a hurry but we might as well take a look. I mean a plan can accommodate more than just four persons!’
‘Ok, Miss President but I suggest we make it fast. And if it’s something out of our ability we leave at once. Are you ok with that?’
‘Yes!’ Emilia slowly opened the door. Her gun was the first to enter the corridor. Some lights flickered, though most were dead. Emilia peered to the right, then left and when she spotted nothing she entered the hallway. Following the right path would take a person to the stairs. Next to it there was an elevator. Once again, they heard voices, coming from the left. Emilia advanced, always staying close to the wall and the others followed closed behind them. Emilia came to an abrupt stop before a door. She didn’t knock on the door and simply stormed in. And well, it might have been a good idea that they were here.

Meanwhile
Dae and the others stuck together. The city was bare of ghouls and humans, as if no one lived here.
‘Why is no one here?’, Rayshel asked. No turning around the woman began speaking: ‘There was chaos everywhere! These monster would come out and eat us, play with us!’ She rattled her body, trying to get rid of that unpleasant feeling. ‘But then he appeared! An angel. He turned these dark monsters white then they all obeyed him. He built us a city underneath where we will be protected by whatever happens up here!’ Dae decided to join the conversation:
‘Aside the fact that that so-called kind turned the monster. It could be that these turned monsters are still ,monsters. I mean you didn’t say that he turned them back to humans! And you said angel. Let me tell you something’ –
‘I know what you want to say. Angels are just like demons. And yes, you’re right. However, he is different. Since his appearance we have not suffered and no one was killed!’
‘Really no one?’, Dae persisted.
‘Yes, no one! Here and there he chooses a person who ascends the heaven!’
‘Hahahahah!’It took Dae everything to not topple over. ‘Let me guess. You send someone to him and he eats her or his monsters and then he tells you that person is now in he heaven? Am I right?’
‘No, you aren’t When you are called he shows you the truth. Only people who have seen that truth can truly understand what happened. When they went in ill, they come out healthy. And soon’, she turned around, ‘I’ll be called. Most of the cars on the surface have been destroyed or simply don’t work. We must go down. Of course, you can keep your weapons. I know how it looks but you must trust me. You will like it down there! We also call it the Paradise!’ Dae was about to say something but Rayshel beat him to it:
‘Is he strong? Your king I mean!’
‘I guess. I never saw him fight but the miracles he displays every day. He must be strong! So, do you come with me!’
Rayshel retreated away from the group, beckoning Dae over. When he was by her side she started:
‘One thing I trust in my life are my instincts. And they are telling me that this woman is not lying. And she was not hypnotized. I just know. Trust me. This means that the life down there is truly great like she preached or something weird is happening down there!’
‘Well, we have no time. We must catch the plane.’
‘I am sure if they went there with the helicopter they are long gone. And from our squad no one can fly a plane. Can you?’
‘No!’
‘So we go down there and if the place is really that nice we can find someone to help us.’
‘Damn, Rayshel. I thought the only things in your head is war and fighting. But I must admit this side surprised me in a good way!’ Rayshel clasped her heated cheeks with both palms and wiggled around.
‘Of course. We will be husband and wife one day. I might as well show you all my sides!’ Overtaxed Dae left Rayshel on her own and replied to the woman:
‘We are coming with you!’
