AIKEN - Sleep is important, especially for our brain and immune system. The brain needs to rest, as well as the other organs. During sleep, our body would self-regulate and repair the damaged tissue, and produce more cells, such as white blood cells. These cells are essential for our immune functions. So if you don't get enough sleep, your immune system will go down and you will become more susceptible for infections such as influenza.
