Commander Sisko watched the stars from the command room of the space station, lost in his thoughts. The war against the Dominion was over, but at what cost? The Federation had 10,000 ships and in this horrible war nearly 3,000 were lost.copyright protection4PENANApSvWpdlRou

The Klingons just before the war with the Dominion had a war against the Federation and only joined together to end the Dominion, the common enemy. The Klingon casualties were so great that two-thirds of their fleets were destroyed and had to retreat to their territory. Sisko was certain that this was what kept the Klingons from attacking the Federation.copyright protection4PENANA1IxKfuGQ2Z

“We lost one-third of our fleets but they lost two-thirds," he thought.copyright protection4PENANAA8QKnZ5jzl

Intelligence said the Klingons wouldn't attack anyone until they recovered, which would take them at least ten years.copyright protection4PENANAFYdaVDnguM

The Romulins were the best to stand out, they entered the second half of the war and their casualties were not very numerous. Sisko knew that the next war would be against the Romulins, a war that would come sooner rather than later and that the Federation and the Romulins would face a war of attrition, there were no more allies to turn to; Kardasia and the other powers were decimated in the war.copyright protection4PENANALvuigKNXBQ

“Sir, there is a great energetic disturbance coming out of the wormhole! I've never seen anything like it," an officer told him.copyright protection4PENANAWbYNVmM0Gl

In fact, the wormhole seemed to lengthen and widen about to explode, and out of it came a ship like never before seen the commander in his life, was a metallic blue color but appeared to have an organic shape like that of a cetacean with red eyes on the sides.copyright protection4PENANAmljAwfdUvH

“Sir, the ship is about 2500 meters!” Kira said to him in alarm.copyright protection4PENANAGgdaztUmqv

“That's bigger than the Dominion's largest ship, which was 1500 meters long," says Sisko, whose eyes were wide open as plates.copyright protection4PENANAcmGb9CyWDe

“It's bigger than the DS-9, which is 1600 meters long! Only a 3000-meter Borg cube is bigger," Odo shouted.copyright protection4PENANAhZABz6QN1m

In that moment another blue ship with the shape of a pregnant whale comes out of the wormhole, its size: more than 4000 meters.copyright protection4PENANAuHDHRcaMzB

“For the gods, what is that," said Dax with an open mouth.copyright protection4PENANAhMYYY7Aw4e

“I don't know what they are, but I hope they come in peace," said Doctor Bashir incredulously.copyright protection4PENANALldmXNtNAu

“I don't think so, the ships don't look like commercial ships at all, it's obvious that they are warships with light or heavy anti-craft weapons all over their surface," Worf said.copyright protection4PENANA95bNN3ZYPz

“Red alert, put the red alert on, we will assume that these ships belong to a hostile fleet," Sisko commanded.copyright protection4PENANAz7mx5kFGRJ

“Sir, more ships are still emerging," said Chief O' Brien.copyright protection4PENANAUD48Z1WsPw

               “How many.”copyright protection4PENANAWZC8MpbMn0

               “About five, sir.”copyright protection4PENANAlX8Hud29UT

“Notify any Federation ships nearby," says Sisko.copyright protection4PENANATOwYXw0TYP

“Sir, because of the war, the Federation ships are now more dispersed, I don't locate any of them close enough to come immediately," reports Kira.copyright protection4PENANAqVO23AsfmQ

“Sir, ships are still emerging," desperate O' Brien reports.copyright protection4PENANAgINoqiBssw

“What about the station's weapons?” Worf asked.copyright protection4PENANA9CjXFny8CV

“No, I don't want them to think we want to attack them, I don't want to scare them.”copyright protection4PENANAYSEMg45Swx

               “I already am," says Dr. Bashir.copyright protection4PENANAoSTJLc2awe

“Commander, what the hell are those things," shouts Quark, who invited himself to the command room.copyright protection4PENANAyFQSDwfcES

“Quark, I don't have time now, go back to your bar!” Sisko was upset.copyright protection4PENANA7DKLq1QvUm

“You heard the Commander Quark, get out of here," Odo says.copyright protection4PENANA3ifW2094bF

“They are pirates! They're coming for my latinium.”copyright protection4PENANAiKl9CYGRal

“I'll give them all the latinium I own if they pass by.” Tried to joke Kira, the brave Bayoran.copyright protection4PENANAKiZu4pwUVq

“More ships are emerging sir," Worf reports.copyright protection4PENANAhZJwVLx4QI

“Mr. O' Brien, they respond to our communications?”copyright protection4PENANAK8t5i54YXf

“Negative sir, I transmit on all frequencies and languages.”copyright protection4PENANAkHxjcBIIwE

“It could be a trap, point our guns at that structure," ordered Feff.copyright protection4PENANAm3E9pc9ntS

“No, don't do it Feff, don't see that they are trying to communicate with us, don't even point their guns at us even though we are so close to them," Ishtar says.copyright protection4PENANARpL9YwK7We

“Waaaaa is the end! My latinium...” Cry Quark and he's out of the control room.copyright protection4PENANARP9VKjnREd

“I don't think that with the station's weapons we can make them retreat," says Kira, in that moment a transmission of the strange bluish ships reproduces: copyright protection4PENANAtRUuPLukmB

"Billions of our people are still flying through the galaxy, waging useless war. But if they come into contact with culture, they will understand, like us, that war is meaningless. Culture forever!"copyright protection4PENANALbB3iHJNzi

All command room members are silent.copyright protection4PENANAWq76lRqJJ4

               “Was that a transmission?” Sisko asked.copyright protection4PENANAXcVSGLDa5Z

“Yes, it was, Sisko," says Dax.copyright protection4PENANALRbnUt5EhE

“Sir, a video image is played back from the fleet in front of us," O' Brien reported when the control room screen shows Feff and Ishtar.copyright protection4PENANAWe53krVLaE

Sir, it seems that all the ships have left, in total there are thirty of them," Worf reports in haste.copyright protection4PENANAP8RL0yxDIC

“I am Commander Sisko of the Deep Space Nine space station, belonging to the United Federation of Planets, who are you?”copyright protection4PENANADutOSoiY3z

“We are the Marduk, the most powerful race in the universe," a tall, muscular young man says arrogantly.copyright protection4PENANAC0NI489ZTk

“Lord commander, I assure you that we Marduks come in peace," says with a beautiful voice, a lovely looking young woman.copyright protection4PENANAEJsvvs326M

“They don't trust us very much," Kira told Sisko in the arrival bay.copyright protection4PENANAnPXoRESyG0

“Let's hope the visit to the station calms their doubts, Odo... Have you instructed Quark to stay online and not try to scam our visitors?” Sisko asked.copyright protection4PENANAUV5z7B3L1q

“Don't worry Commander Sisko, I made myself perfectly understood, and as for the treatment that will be given to them, you know that Quark works hard to serve customers as long as there is a good amount of latinium involved.”copyright protection4PENANAUqtcxtLVBa

“This meeting is important; the Federation will pay for all the consumptions of our visitors. The Federation has never had contact with the Marduk, nothing must be lacking.”copyright protection4PENANAoY0mmS1frH

The entrance bay door opened and Ishtar and Feff passed through it. The young woman had beautiful light blue hair (cerulean), so long, that she almost touched the ground and wore the characteristic white suit of the priestesses, and the commander the characteristic long coat of the Marduk lords, but this was a silvery color, symbol of his rank. Two security soldiers also entered, they wore a full black armor that covered their faces, their eyes were covered with red plaques, and they wore huge and smaller weapons along with other small arms.copyright protection4PENANAfmClVKXZwZ

To Odo, those guys weren't the least bit funny. Then a scientific officer came in, Sisko was nervous, if it wasn't for the fact that he wore a black Marduk cape that covered most of his body and mouth, he would have sworn it was a Borg.copyright protection4PENANApqpTCXmoSX

“Lord Feff, Lady Ishtar, welcome to the Deep Space Nine station” Sisko greeted them by extending his hand, he did not know if the Marduk would shake it, yet Feff shook it with his characteristic brute force. copyright protection4PENANAzhWAEjsFyT

Sisko feared for a moment that his fingers would break, but he put on the best poker face he could. The commander noticed that the Marduk was very tall, more than Worf and more muscular in build than the Klingon. He then greeted Ishtar, the young girl possessed a dreamed body and a childish face, but what surprised him most was her sparkling eyes and charming voice.copyright protection4PENANAnOg0abL8bh

Sisko made the presentations of his crew, scientist Marduk whispered something to Feff and Feff nodded. Then Sisko took the Marduk to the most luxurious rooms the DS-9 could offer, the commander noticed that the two Marduk soldiers were in charge of the safety of the young emulator. copyright protection4PENANA7AIxukuQJn

Once fine drinks and soft snacks were offered, the commander said goodbye and informed Feff that an official meeting would take place later and that he would not hesitate to send for anything. She was surprised about Ishtar's request, which asked him to listen to music, Sisko had classical music played to please her.copyright protection4PENANAOiFKSj3lZC

“What did you think of this meeting, Lady Ishtar?”copyright protection4PENANAfnrvnCG8KS

“The commander is very attentive and his officers seem very professional. What about you, Feff?” Ishtar said to him, calling him by name.copyright protection4PENANAqSt8qXtUNc

“I laughed when he said that this tiny place was a space station, but I see that it is bigger than is known outside Lady Ishtar," said Feff, who could not afford to call Ishtar by her name in front of his men.copyright protection4PENANAiBuYmniqIi

“I loved the streets with planters and lanterns, it looks a lot like Earth.”copyright protection4PENANA2XFut36acR

“That disturbed me, Lady Ishtar, weren't we on Earth before? You don't have to be a scientific officer to know that Commander Sisko is terrestrial.”copyright protection4PENANA2CKvKase4f

“The abnormality in the massive transposition could have sent us to a parallel dimension, but on a different temporal plane, perhaps in the future Lord Feff," the scientific officer reported.copyright protection4PENANAqnRVleiEE1

“We will soon clear up all the doubts," Feff said with a frown.copyright protection4PENANAWHZBbsEiCR
