Day Twenty Two: Asteroid
I am thoroughly rattled.
I walk past his room. The door is open, clearly forgotten. I stop and look through the doorway. I gasp. The floor is littered with lacerated punching bags and decapitated dummies, undoubtedly the work of the knives. What I don't know is: How did he know how to use the knives to do such lethal damage? I tear my eyes from the floor to see a shirtless Meteor, dripping with sweat, mangling yet another bag with his bare hands. I make a small strangled noise in my throat. He hears the nearly inaudible sound and looks up. Our eyes lock and I figure out why he is acting like this.
His anger- no not anger, more bloodlust- his bloodlust apparently outweighs any hold I had in his heart because he rushes over and slams the door after shoving me against the far wall. I rush to Michael’s new room and burst in without knocking. I find him on the floor with Constellation, teaching her about the finer points of a kimura.
“It’s Galaxy!” I scream.
“Where? What happened?” Michael clamors to be heard over my agitated shrieks.
“Meteor… his eyes… not right… ate one… must have… HELP!” I collapse into a quaking, quivering lump on the ground. Pretty soon, I’m hysterical and Michael has to sedate me. I drift away with the image of Meteor’s faded eyes staring me in the face.113Please respect copyright.PENANANZyt7FsUIQ
