"Hm. I never met a klevonian like you," Gahiji said as he took in the info, then shook his head. "Still, you're just another klevonian who's lived his entire life in subjugation. It's tragic. I sympathize with involuntary victims like you, I do, but you're still going to have to die. I let you report back to your Crest—if you haven't already—then more of you will show up here. Then you'll be the ones trying to steal our power."
Tymon grinned. He'd tried Alissia's approach to talk it out first. Predictably, it didn't work. Klevonians are warriors first. They respect a show of strength. At the moment, they looked down on him because they thought he was weak.
"I don't serve anyone. That's not how it works with us," Tymon said, amping up for their attack. "But my words don't seem to be getting through, so I won't elaborate. As for you killing me...I'm not concerned," he smirked.
Gahiji wasn't convinced. He lifted himself off the ground with a gust of wind. He couldn't fly, but by doing this repeatedly, he created a sort of gliding/hovering technique for himself. It allowed him to fight mid-air, albeit with less mobility than Tymon.
With Gahiji blasting wind while churning the wind around himself, Tymon could only manage to dodge at the moment. He couldn't get close since he'd be torn to shreds by the mini cyclone Gahiji had enveloped himself in. But this also forced Gahiji to realize he wouldn't get anywhere like this if he couldn't get close to Tymon.
Tymon watched as the cyclone around Gahiji dissipated, and a ring on his finger that he hadn't noticed before now glowed. The other klevonians cheered in excitement, warning Tymon that he was in for it now.
Right before Tymon's eyes, the ring changed shape and morphed into a double-sided blade with razor-sharp teeth-like edges and two handles. Then, Gahiji gripped the handles with both hands and pulled the weapon apart, now carrying one half of it in each hand. The blades' edges began to glow a light green as Gahiji willed a strong force of wind to wrap itself around them.
Without saying a word, Gahiji charged at Tymon. Although Tymon blocked, activated Black Out, and used his best spirit enhancement, the blade effortlessly cut through it all and dug into his arm, causing him to bleed. The added wind aspect of the blades felt sharp, as if they were about to cut off his arm, so Tymon pushed himself back, just in time, as a light-green slash of energy cut into the ground.
This surprised Tymon. The guy hadn't used spirit enhancement on the blades, yet it sliced right through his defenses. Blackout and his spirit enhancement weren't broken through by normal means. It felt more like the blade disregarded his energy entirely.
Now that he'd been wounded, the other two klevonians moved in as if it were routine. They'd done this plenty of times before.
Tymon noted that, unlike the first one, these two were demi-sages. One used water and the other used gravity. However, their elemental properties weren't applied to their spirit energy, and their usage of it was minimal.
He could see why they waited for Gahiji to wound their victims first before jumping in.
Both of the klevonians wore rings similar to Gahiji's; however, when they're weapons emerged, they looked like simple swords with no special properties. But Tymon deduced that their blades could still cut through his spirit enhancement just fine, so he didn't let his guard down.
Due to being overpowered and outnumbered, Tymon had to resort to a less direct method of attacking and used Sentient Reach to help fend them off.
His darkness formed into tendrils and readily went on the offensive and wrapped itself around them, layering on top of itself, but their swords easily cut through each effort at subduing them that he put in.
This wouldn't do. He didn't know exactly what those weapons were capable of, and it was three against one. Not good odds considering things.
To even the odds, he thought up a new technique, Black Fade. It wasn't clear in his mind yet, but he was sure it'd at least partially work for now.
Tymon willed his shadow to rise. It was his first time trying this, so the results were sloppy and in limited quantities, but he managed to give shape to two shadows that were roughly his shape, but featureless. They meant to have much power, but they could fight like him and would regenerate from anything thanks to his spirit energy. Plus, by reinforcing them with more energy, he could make them more durable and stronger.
The technique turned out to be more draining than he thought it'd be, but he sent the shadow clones to get near the two weaker klevonians, and he closed the distance between himself and Gahiji. When they were each in place, not wanting to burn through all his energy, he tried to attack all three at once.
Tymon first used Dark Sentience to will his darkness to and the shadows to extend and merge until they became a pool of darkness that restricted Gahiji and the other klevonians' movements. Then he primed each shadow clone to erupt into Blackouts that enveloped their targets, just as he generated one around himself and Gahiji.
Once all three Blackouts merged into one massive one, everything turned black, but Tymon could still feel all three targets and activated the same technique he used when he first fought Michael, Dark Shift: Infinite Massacre.
Gahiji and the others used spirit enhancement to protect themselves, but after Tymon applied Last Breath to his spirit energy, he noticed their energies began to plummet quickly. Fending off that much of his Last Breath from every direction was eating away at their energy.
If he had a larger reserve of energy, he could stand there and wait for them to run out of energy, but as is, he'd lose a battle of attrition. He needed to take them out before this technique drained him of all his energy instead.
By combining speed and randomly melting into the shadows, Tymon became untraceable and easily struck the three stuck in his shadows, chipping away even more at their spirit enhancement until he was finally able to make full contact with the two weaker klevonians, hitting them both with just enough Last Breath to knock them unconscious.
After sensing his friends go down, Gahiji began to swing his blades randomly, sending out strong slashes that cut through Tymon's Blackout, but it was too late: by the time it broke apart, Tymon held Gahiji by the throat, lifting him off the ground.
Tymon's clawed hand was shrouded in Last Breath and darkness as he gripped tighter, forcing Gahiji to drop his weapons and grip Tymon's arm in defeat.
"Now that that's been settled," Tymon began, still holding him by the neck, "what's the quickest path to the Ryfa Pakt?"
"You're looking for the Ryfa Pakt?" Gahiji questioned, confused. "What would a marked klevonian from Pneuma City want with the Ryfa Pakt of all people?"
"That's none of your concern," Tymon dug his claws in, piercing Gahiji's skin a little.
Gahiji winced.
"Okay! To the east, over the mountain range, you'll eventually come across one of Forgeton's sectors. Go inland. You'll find where the Ryfa Pakt typically is."
