Dang it.
I bolted awake, searching left and right for my phone. I jumped up from my bed, slipping over a blanket, and falling face first.
"Ow..."
I stood up, cautiously, this time, and picked my phone up from the nightstand.
1 pm.
I rushed to get into some clothes, put on whatever shoes I could find, and ran out the door.
Where was I going? No idea.
But was I gonna get there? Hell yes.
I ran down the street, and kept running wherever my feet took me. I eventually grew tired, so instead of stopping and finding a place to rest, I simply fell over onto the ground. I didn't care about the bugs that might crawl on me and take my soul. I was absolutely exhausted.
I looked up towards the sky, smiling. It was a beautiful day outside. Birds were singing, flowers were blooming.
On days like these, kids like me..
Only have about two more days until they are completely erased from existence, and should probably start running.
I laughed to myself, stood up, and kept running. I eventually arrived at a house. It looked a bit worn down, but the flowers that were planted in front seemed to hide that a bit. I knocked on the door.
Oh.
A well dressed lady stepped out, and greeted me with a warm smile. My eyes lit up, hoping she recognized me.
Boy, was I wrong. Again.
It was my teacher, Ms. Smith. I had always tolerated her. She wasn't my absolute favorite, but I certainly was never in a rush to sacrifice her to Satan, either. I smiled as her eyes lit up. This is it! Finally, someone remembers you!
Boy, was I wrong.
"Hello! Are you the new garbage lady? Oohh, you wait right there. I'll go get the trash."
I felt insulted that she had called me a garbage lady. How dare she! I was a QUEE-
"Here you go!" She called, interrupting my thought process. She handed me the trash, along with a ten. She wished me a good day and closed the door.
Not even her classes were as confusing as what had just happened.
I put the money into my pocket, and decided I didn't want to hold the trash anymore; it was sticky, wet, and smelled terrible. I ran to find the nearest dumpster and bottle of hand sanitizer.
My parents never really paid me for doing chores, and they never really let me leave the house at all, so I've never gone to the store by myself before. I decided I'd buy myself some chocolate before I went back home.
I started running around, hoping to find a gas station before I got tired.
