On velvety skin

Monstrous fears

When does happiness begin?

I want you to understand

My mind is never at rest

Don't think because I smile

That I'm doing my best

These "life lessons"

Are pretty depressing

All it's teaching me

Is to stop expressing

Stop obsessing

Cause no one is paying attention

Like a withering heart

That's falling apart

A plagued mind

That's constantly confined

Why is innocence lost so quickly?

Why are sinners, faces so pretty?

But hearts so chilly

They catch me and fool me

Now I'm sitting here, silly

My feet are pacing

When I should be hating

I'm guilty, and I shouldn't be

It was filthy, and I didn't see

Looking nice and disguised on the outside

And I still ignored it and went forward

It ended up being torture

I was the dead body

And the coroner

I patched up my own wounds

But I'm still injured

Now purity is out of the picture

Now there's nothing but hurt

And it's getting thicker

Viscous like blood

And strong like liquor

Now my heart

Is like a cold corridor

I'm a foreigner

And I'm scared to explore

Or tour

Anymore

Every alleyway

I find more reason to run away

Why should I stay

In a place

Where there's nothing but disgrace and distaste

I'm nothing but a waste.
