Here's a weird/fun contest. What you are to do in this contest is tye random letters as many as you want! There's a catch though. Somewhere you must hide the word holiday. The top three that makes the word holiday hardest to find will be the winners. Good luck!
Describe something, anything in anyway and let the people figure what the thing is in the comments. It can be super unfigurable or pretty simple. It can be funny or it can not be funny. It can be a few words or as many words as you want.
Nothing complicated! If you are participating in Nanowrimo 2k16 or just want a way to get your word count up, add your stories to this contest! At the end, the top three with the highest word counts win!
Are you the music type and would love to share your love of music to the world? Enter this contest then. You can use your own theme. Also you can use ryhme or creative. Maximum count of five hundred words.Entries must be appopriate will little or no swearing. I will be picking three winner. Due on November 27th at 7:30 Pm
Do you like songs? Do you like listening to song lyrics? Do you like writingsong lyrics?
If so, write a poem in the style of song lyrics. Sound fun? Cool? Enthralling? Give it a shot!
The song needs to have at least three stanzas, though stanzas can be of any length, from one word to infinity (but not zero words. That's not a stanza). The song can be about anything, literally, as long as you can make it PG. Even if the topic's not PG, euphemisms are fine, as long as they are PG euphemisms.
If the entry is not PG, I will point that out in the comments. Non-PG entries cannot win, though you will have the chance to change it if I find problems.
You have four weeks from September 27, 2016. Limit three entries per person.
The judging will be done by ShadowBobcat10. The winners will get a badge (duh!) and my love and respect.
Now, are you ready? Get writing!
You may write whatever you wish that is appropriate of course. The only limit is you have to writer over 400 words.
Can you write a story from one quote? Sounds hard? Why don't you give it a try. Four weeks from July 25, 2016, I'll pick the best, most innovative story, and anyone can give it a try. The story can be any genre, any length, but must be rated PG or under. The story must be inpired by the quote in a way that is palpable. I will trust your judgement, though if I end up asking you how the quote fits, please don't feel insulted. Three entries maximum per person. Are you ready?
"You can hide your darkness from others, but your darkness will never hide from you." And yes, I made that up on the spot, but it sounds like it could get a few good stories.
Now get going. Because you see the timer counting down by the seconds and you know you're always running out of time.
Every story needs a good opening line or paragraph to begin with. For example some of my favourites include:
“One minute the teacher was talking about the Civil War. And the next minute he was gone.” –Goneby Michael Grant
“Newborn #485GA18M died on June 30, 2076, at 6:07 in the morning. She was three days old. The average lifespan of a human child, in the time since the break, was fifty-six hours.” –Partialsby Dan Wells
“The end of the world started when a pegasus landed on the hood of my car.”–The Last Olympianby Rick Riordan
“First the colors. Then the humans. That’s usually how I see things.Or at least, how I try.” -- The Book Thiefby Markus Zusak
"Mr and Mrs Dursley, of number four Privet Drive, were proud to say that they were perfectly normal, thank you very much." -- Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone by JK Rowling
All of these are great books that I highly recommend.
But now its your turn.
Make up a fake title for a book then write the opening first line or paragraph.
Nothing too excessive, the rating is PG.Characters from other books/movies can be used. But keep them in character please! Two entries per person. If you choose to write a paragraph rather than a sentence, please keep it within two.
Sounds easy? Hopefully it should be.
Additional note: I am going to be away for the next week, so when I get back I will read and comment on all the entries then!
~The only way love can last a lifetime if it is unconditional~
First love. True love. One love. Only love. Forbidden love. Unexpected love. One-Sided love...
These are the main themes we find in the topic of love - which makes our heart race, our feels overflow.
So this contest is to write about anykind of love story or poem (sad, mysterious, happy, humorous), no erotics included. The word count should be between 1000-2000 words and the time limit is two weeks and the judging will be done by me, which I promise would be fair and just.
All the best!
Have a great day!
