Three. Four. Five. No. So much more. I can't keep count. Many cloaked vampires. All of them lurking in the forest eyeing me. My eyes darted around, trying to keep track of them all. I sat on a chair on the back porch. I shouldn't be out in the open. Lord, I had to get away. What do I do? What do I do?
"Of all the things and people we're sent after, we have to deal with a Fledgling? What a joke." I jumped up and spun around, then heard a loud bang. To slow. To late.

I jolted awake, pain in my chest. Another nightmare. I need to get out of here at some point. I just don't know by when. Thorn has been to busy to pick up any of my calls. Queen Cynthia has called the house phone once, about five days ago. She only told me she wishes to discuss my visions soon and asked how I was. I told her I was well enough. That, of course, has changed since the nightmares started up.
Yesterday, Mo stopped by with goodies. I kept munching on the blood cakes while she was here. No matter how much she tried to get me to slow down, I couldn't and wouldn't do it. They were just too good!31Please respect copyright.PENANAvN4XqotC1N

Around that time, I told her of the nightmares. It felt nice that she acknowledged my concern. Mo decided to speak with their Seer to see if she has any insight. Hopefully she gets back to me today with help.
I started pacing in my room, then walked to the kitchen to make another attempt at calling Thorn. I doubt he's awake though, it's 2 in the morn. I went ahead, dialed his number on the house phone, and called...
It left me on voice-mail. I then tried throwing a text with my phone, a simple 'hey', but of course no answer.
A sharp pain hit me suddenly in the chest. I looked down however there was nothing but pain. To familiar. A flash of my dream came. Then thats when I heard the floorboards of the back porch creek. Maybe I'm just overthinking?31Please respect copyright.PENANAijdQv2azEY

The pain got worse spreading to my shoulders.
Okay! Definitely not overthinking.
I made my way, carefully to my room window. I peeked through, trying to see if anyone was near it. I couldn't see a thing. But I had to at least try to leave. I opened the window, hopped out, and took a moment to assess my surroundings. There was nothing but trees. Where will I be safe? The city is to far. The closest small town, wouldn't keep me safe either. The kingdom... The pack. I knew from traveling that they would be to the west, the direction I was facing. Run. Run. Run.
I began to hear Vampires hissing. So I booked it as fast as I could.

I've been running only a short time, but I've covered a lot of ground. They were on my tail, shouting, "She's heading for Maerluna!" I tried calling Thorn as I ran but he still didn't pick up. 31Please respect copyright.PENANAAEPrCPnZ39

Lord help me. Please...
I stumbled over root, falling to the ground. I scrambled to get up, panicked, desperate. 31Please respect copyright.PENANA9380mXx3Mi

I felt a hand push me back down. "Stay down. Cower like the dog you've become." I carefully got on my hands and knees looking behind me. Perfect. I kicked the knee I saw, picked myself up as he fell and I began running again.
I emerged from the trees, now in a field. Another forest was in the distance. I kept running, hearing footsteps behind me and the sound of wings flapping. I was nearing the treeline, noticing 'No Trespassing' signs, and others that said MAERLUNA.
I'd be safe. Finally. I can be safe.
But then I hit a wall at the treeline. I fell back, noticing shimmery blue light where I had hit. A forcefield? I got up and banged on it, "Help! Please! They're after me! Please!"
Then someone grabbed my wrist pulling me away. Now I was surrounded by vampires, getting farther from where I needed to be. I struggled as best as I could, then my other wrist was grabbed. I could no longer try hitting them with my hands. "Let me go!" The first vampire who grabbed me, started to fly up, keeping hold. The other let go. I tried to get out of their grasp, before they got to high up, however it was a useless attempt.
I'll die here.
I looked up at the vampire, not daring to look at the ground below. They looked down at me and all I felt was fear.
Nira. It was damned Nira.
She smiled, "Useless to try to escape Helena, but you gave us a good run. I applaud you for that much."
The silence was deafening for just a few moments. "I'll let you live but," She said as I saw something glint in her free hand. She brought me up closer to her face, a pain suddenly in my abdomen. "I'm going to make your life a living hell." Then she dropped me.

"How is she?"
"Alive."
"Is she stable?"
"Stable is pushing it..." The disoriented voices echoed in the darkness. It was such an odd world. Pitch black. But... comforting? Like a home. There was pain though. To much of it. Everywhere, all over me. I can't handle it. I can't. Bright sudden light flashed in my eyes.
"She's waking. Hurry over here!"
I hissed. The light burns. My head is on fire. Someone make it stop.
"Look at me. Focus Hel," A woman said.
"It hurts," I responded. My voice was but a rasp. "I know. Take a deep breath for me?" I did, my chest and ribs aching. "See you again soon," She said as the light faded away.
