As soon as I stepped outside of the grounds I am greeted by the sight of many castle guards, including Sterk.
Shock, Fear, Blocked by Gamer's Mind.
I chuckle a little to myself and then notice a very brief moment of shock on Sterk's own face when he recognizes me. "Hiya, Sterkenburg!" I say cheerfully, giving him a wave as well.
Perception Check: Passed!
Mimi had apparently followed me pretty well but I notice her now, right near the edge of her family's property. "I suppose this is about the other day?" Sterk just kind of nods dumbly, clearly at a loss for words. "Well as soon as I returned to town I figured this would happen. So let’s go do whatever it is that we need to do." I than turn to the other guards, who seem equally shocked but probably for different reasons, "Shall we?" I don't really wait for them as I start heading towards the castle, the guards falling around, Sterk falling in step beside me. He didn't say a single word the whole way to the castle, such a good little knight. To say that this brought a lot of attention to me would be an understatement. We walk into the reception area and I wave with a happy smile to the Esty, who scowls at me a bit. Hmm... Maybe she got in trouble? But we didn't stop, they walked us straight into the audience chamber and the king sat on his throne. Well... didn't see that coming. I am escorted to be in front of the king and most of the guards kneel down to their king, minus a few who are watching me. I simply bow to the king to show my respect. He's not my king, also what is he even still doing here? Shouldn't he be running around as Gio already?
Sterkenburg Reputation -15
I am just going to ignore that Sterk. The king just seems amused, but I remain quite as I am not really sure what exactly I am here for... Buuuut.... King Arland is a very free spirit. Sterk spends basically all his time after Rorona's game either adventuring with, or looking for, the ex-king.
The middle aged man that, despite his robes hiding him, is very much one of the most powerful people in the room and that is assuming he isn’t the most. He spends several moments just looking me over before he finally speaks up. "I just wanted to see what single individual had money like that to throw around." I think that over for a few moments and it tracks, but from what I know about him it's pretty flimsy.
"Well here I am!" I say excitedly and the king laughs, to the surprise of the assembled guards. "Was there something in particular that you needed? I'm not sure I can accept any marriage proposals, if you are trying to marry your daughter, but I could meet her at least." The further I talked the more he laughed. This has to be Silver Tongued at work as well. I mean I am trying to be funny, but I am not really all that funny.
Once he gets himself under control he finally speaks. "Oh my, how bold of you!" He bellows into the audience chamber, putting all the guards, as well as myself, on edge as hands move to weapons. I just look around and try to continue with the calm confidence. "Yes well. If you're going to be amazing you might as well try and be amazing at everything, right?" It really wasn't an answer. But I don't feel I owe him anything, even if he is Meruru's uncle. He nodded at that and smiled continuing to watch me. "So was that it then? Not meaning to be rude but I do have other things I need to do."
The king simply smirked. You would think he wouldn't approve of it, but it is a troupe as well that the king not be bothered blah blah blah. "There is, but not with me. see Miss Dee, the receptionist. She was a little... put off that you didn't finish some paperwork. Now with that boring stuff out of the way what brings you here?" I chuckle a little, visibly. I see he just saw something new and interesting.
"Oh not much, I was thinking about opening an Alchemy shop here. You know just thoughts. But otherwise I am just sight-seeing nowhere in particular to go." The king nods at this, a deep and sagely nod that seems to have more meaning than any of us could grasp.

Who would have thought one stricken with wanderlust would relate to that so strongly. "Well then. Why not in the meantime just operate the atelier that you recently bought?" I nod for a moment and then stop. "Excuse me? I don't own an atelier?" My voice, as I spoke, betrayed my confused thought.
The king shakes his head, "I see. You don't really know what you did. You may have meant to just clear things for Astrid and Rorona, but all you did was paid the debt off. In the eyes of the kingdom that is your atelier" There's silence in the room as his words settle over the room. I go to speak but the king hold up a hand. Think wisely before you commit to something."
His words are wise and true, and nothing I didn't already know, but it is still a good thing to be reminded of them every once in a while. "I thank you for your wise council, but I have already taken enough time to think about this." The king's face turns down into disappointment for a moment as he listens. "What I would like is to hold ownership of the atelier for... hmm... six years under which I will operate it as I wish, hopefully with two employees, then I will renegotiate terms with Astrid and or Rorona at that point." I say with a nod and the king smiles at me.

Heh, that's funny. A quick look around shows that Esty isn't in here, and I look back towards the door before letting my gaze returning to the king, who seemed to be have been looking back from the door as well. "I see that I may have misjudged and thought you would be quick to action with little thought, but that seems to be false. Even still that seems a challenge. But make sure to see Miss Dee on your way out." That sure sounded like a dismissal if I ever heard one. Probably wants to use this moment to run off and go have some fun. I offer the king a parting bow and then simply exit the audience room, eyes following me out but only eyes. I make a beeline over to Esty and stop at the desk. "Apologize, Miss Dee. I was not aware of the procedure and just had a really pressing meeting that I had to get to. I am terribly sorry if my actions caused you any distress or problems." I say and then bow to her.
Esty Dee Affection +10
She tries to hold a glare on me but then sighs. "It did cause some problems, but not a lot honestly. I knew I didn't recognize you and should have said something so... Call it even?" I smile at her, she is much more professional than her younger sister but she really wants to get married... at least by Meruru's game. But I think she is in her forties at that point. It's her work ethic that actually gets in her way. She nearly lives to work, she did kind of vanish in the second game though, maybe that was when she was training cause she was kind of badass in Meruru's game.
"That sounds perfectly fine with me. I would hate to have the wrath of such a beauty after all." I say with a bright smile, which is quickly greeted with a blush and a stammered reply of, weak, protest. "But that isn't for now. We can revisit that at a later time if you wish though."
Esty Dee Affection +10
She takes a deep breath to calm herself and her blush fades. "Yes, perhaps we will. In the meantime, I have here a form with the details you presented to the king. I just need you to sign it." I take the scroll and look it over; as I am confirming it I speak up. "So not even going to pretend that you were listening at the door?" I give my words a few seconds to sink in and then look up to Esty, a slight blush on her cheeks. "I am very thorough in my job. I wanted to be ready if any agreements or degrees were issued." She said firmly, despite the slight blush.
I just nod slowly and turn back to the scroll. "Sure, sure." I say in a very disregarding fashion. "W-what! Do you mean?" I tilt my head at how she said that and then simply gesture with my hand towards her. "Nothing really, but also that." I say with a smirk and sign the scroll, handing it to her and she quickly jumps back to work mode and after a few minutes of waiting she hands me a copy. "Now, care to expla..."
I cut her off, ignoring anymore she has to say, "Well I best be going." Then leave, her words bouncing around the foyer, but are simply ignored. That's so much fun to do sometimes. I amuse myself with thoughts of Esty as I quickly make my way to the atelier, without actually running. I open the door and burst into the shop. "Hello everyone!" Rorona's cauldron is bubbling softly; the huge bag of Cole vanished. The two screams of surprise pull my attention to Rorona and Cordelia sitting at a table, a pie between them and it's smell filling the area. Of course fresh baked. "Ah, my dear Rorona," I say happily, a bright red face with a huge smile greeting me. "MR... I mean ALEX!" She jumps up and rushes over to me. Cordelia watching with a small smile and yet concern was in her eyes as well.
When Rorona stops in front of me I put my hand on her head and gently muss her hair through her hat. She just beamed at me. "Thank you so much for everything you did for me and Astrid. You paid way too much though. Of course Astrid said you underpaid but since it was all upfront it was fine. Then she found out from the castle and you kind of stand out."
I give a shrug, "Not like I was exactly trying to hide, I suppose. But Rorona?" She looks at me confused and curious. "Aren't you being rude?" I ask and gesture behind her.

Rorona is confused for a moment and then turns around and finally remembers Cordelia. "OH, of course!" She runs over to Cordelia and drags her in front of me. "This is my best, and childhood, friend Cody." Cordelia's face scrunches up, as she blushes, and she shakes herself free from Rorona, "Stop Calling Me That!" She then turns her attention to me. "Cordelia von Feuerbach, it's a pleasure." She says with what is clearly practiced etiquette. I take her hand and kiss it gently. She doesn't seem surprised or snatches her hand away, but I do feel her tense for a moment.

She really likes being treated older, such a complex about her size. I think she is beautiful; blonde hair, blue eyes, and very petite. She never gets any bigger, the normal small girl thing. I release her hand and smile at her, but Rorona's shocked, and red, face are almost enough to make me laugh out loud. "Rorona?" She almost snaps to attention at her name. "Y-yes?" Did I interrupt something?
"I am going to discuss this with Astrid in a moment but..." I explain to Rorona the situation and tell her she can return home if she so wanted. She didn't even think about it, or let me finish, before she was shaking her head and admittedly stated she wanted to keep working here.

"Well ladies, I hate to cut this short, but I would love to spend more time with both of you very, very soon." I smile at the two of them and both of them blush but nod and offer a Yes before I turn on my heel and head right towards Astrid's office. I made this an Ecchi world and now I am going to try and utilize it. I open the door and then close it after I step inside. Astrid is sitting there at desk, towers of books fill the room and even cover the bed, along with loose sheets of paper scattered about.

She goes to stand up, "Excuse me! What do you think you are doing in my..." I interrupt her, pulling out the copy of my agreement. "MY, room you mean?" I ask and offer her the scroll. She had stopped standing and now takes her seat fully again and reads over the scroll. She looks up at me and smirks. "Do you really think I would be an employee of yours?" Her tone was even, but her eyes showed a different matter. "Honestly I really don't care. You're not the important one here. You are good. Don't get me wrong. But you are, in many ways, a pale comparison to Rorona." I say with casual disregard as if Astrid wasn't the genius she is. "Y-you..." Her face slips to one of rage for a moment and then confusion. "Don't fret though. If you want I will allow you to stay around. You have to promise to be good though. If you are I might even teach you some stuff you don't know."
She went to interrupt me several times but each time I just kept talking and the Silver Tongue perk must be doing something to her as well. Finally my last words override everything else. "You? Teach me?! That's funny." She crosses her arms and gives me a blank stare.
My smile seems to take her back a little, "Again, I really don't care. But just think. I paid off all those debts right away. How do you think I got so much money?" Who cares if it's a lie? I could easily make money like that or more with my alchemy. She goes to reply but then pauses as if the thought really hadn't occurred to her. "Anyways, why would I show any of my secrets to someone who, one, doesn't work for me and two won't even do as she was told regardless." I say with a shrug and start to head to the door. "If you aren't going to work for me I expect your stuff out by tonight." I go to open the door when Astrid called out, not really having anywhere else to go and that money is Rorona's regardless of what Astrid may think. I smirk and turn around, keeping the smirk in place. "I see. Then how about we just put that to the test than?"

That should have put her in her place. I look around the room and my eyes widen, mouth hanging open as I see the walls covered in soot, things strewn everywhere. This looks like the effects of a synthesis explosion. I walk around the room looking for one or both of the girls to make sure they are ok and when I find them I can only say that I was not expecting to find this. The two girls are in a daze, lying on the floor, close to Astrid's room but out of line enough that they would have had time to correct themselves. The explosion messed everything but though apparently cause here they are. Clearly interrupted midsession, these poor girls, I should really help them, shouldn't I?

That was nice. I scribble out some instructions on how I want things run, which are basically exactly how they would but with the exception that Astrid is supposed to do different tasks in the main area, mostly humiliating things for the great mind of Astrid Zexis. I also left Rorona a secret task that I gave her, hidden in her clothing I left strewn about.
Now it is time to disappear for a couple of days so I can finish Mimi's things and come back and catch Astrid slacking off before I make my way over to Colseit. I start going over ways to try and save the Bumblebee princess as I create more potions.
On a side note I did find out something really cool about that recipe book I got, it records all of my recipes. Not that I can forget them but still probably going to be useful later.
As part of my attention focuses on making potions, the rest of my attention is on the princess. She was/is human alchemist who was placed in charge of the great machine that was supposed to revitalize the world from the ravages of the Dusk. She has been there so long that she is basically one with it. They save her by kicking her ass and then bringing Clone to talk to her. Oh and Nio. I think I can do that. The real question is if I could beat her. I am pretty sure the answer is no right now. I need more alchemy levels. I face palm, I'm such an idiot. I pull out my Multi-Tool and go through the settings until I find what I am looking for. "Ha HA!" I dig a basement and clear it out, making another square of four rooms and fill one of them with cauldrons, nine actually. I smile and set about putting all of the cauldrons to work. I activate Hyperfocus as I go so I can get each cauldron set up quickly.
The next twenty-four hours was a whole lot of switching between hyper-focused and not. But honestly it was worth it. I honestly just made a bunch of easy 'junk' items so I could try and power level my alchemy skill. But I did finish my items for Mimi already.

I smile at my finished products. As ok as they are, I have much, much, better traits left out there for me to find. What I have from No Man's Sky doesn't have any of the higher tier traits. I really don't care though I can build up to some of the really good things, just not some of the best. So with all this synthesis' going I was able to experiment a little and found out that with Hyper Focus going and then still take the normal amount of time I can negate some of the negatives to the items price. But it actually had me on edge the whole time I did it, made me want to grate my teeth. I don't plan on doing that as much as possible.
I stand up and stretch, looking over at a clock. Oh shit. It's already that late? I head to Arland, ripping through everything in my way with my katana. I made it so I might as well use it. Plus with the neat little swordsmanship skill I actually feel pretty badass.
Level Up!
Nice little bonus. I rush through the city streets until I am standing before the von Schwarzlang manor, taking a moment to steady myself. I knock on the door and wait. Do I hear running? There's a brief commotion and then a slight bang before the door opens and Mimi is standing there, chest heaving as she smiles up at me. "Hello Alex. I have..." She blushes a little. "Mother has been waiting." She then quickly turns around and once I am in with the door closed behind her she leads me through the manor. We head deeper in this time, nowhere near the entrance like last time.
Mimi leads me to a garden that is in a nearly enclosed garden with skylights with a hole in the middle and a pool beneath it to allow rain water to pool and then disperse to the garden around it. As I look around the garden I observe the plants I don't recognize "Oo." I can't help myself and turn to see Mimi just waiting patiently, as if she expected this, and Ling-Ling had joined her while I was distracted. "Oh! Oops?" The pair laughs at me together and then we continue along to a nice little alcove with a bit of open area and a bench. Ling-Ling takes a seat on the bench and then looks at me expectantly, while Mimi stands dutifully beside her mother.
I thought about it before I got here and while I am not going to spread it around, I don't see any reason why I can't show them my little storage trick. What do I care, plus I plan on being close with this family anyways. I take a few steps back into the open area and smile at the two of them. "Thank you for your time ladies." I say and offer them a bow. "I have a magic trick to show you. Now if I could have a cute little assistant for this?" I say as I make a show of looking around for one, Mimi stoutly refuses to volunteer so I simple smile and point to her. "There's on right there. Could you please join me up here?" I say with a bright smile.

Aww, she's hiding how happy she is so well. After a few moments of internal struggle that was actually quite difficult since I wanted to keep teasing her, her mother just watching the whole time happily. She finally stepped over to me and I smiled, kneeling down next to her. "I look at the side of her head, away from her mother, and sigh. “Oh my! You really should clean your ears out better! I-is that...a spear tip?" I then pull the spear from my inventory and finally into the two of the ladies sight. Planting it into the ground before Mimi, a shocked expression on her face as her mouth was hanging open. Ling-Ling is managing better but even she is surprised.

Mimi recovers the quickest. "HOW DID YOU DO THAT?!?" She literally screamed in my face. I then laughed in hers. Ling-Ling seems to be struggling with disapproval of Mimi's outburst, amusement by it, and disbelief about what she just saw. I just bask in it for a moment, still laughing. "Ok, ok. It's not that I have a problem showing this off, but honestly I really want to keep it secret." I give them both a meaning full look, which they nod seriously too. "Good. I want good relations with us." I say with a grin and then quickly continue. "So here is Mimi's spear. It's not the best I can do not, but that is only because I figured some stuff out doing that." I take a breath and then pull out Mimi's dress and the two crests. Two gasps greeting it and I walk over to them. These are for you, and this is for you." I give the two items to Mimi and the one to Ling-Ling. I than go to the bench and sit down. "Take your time to look them over I will occupy myself." I say and then pull out a rather complex math book and start working through the problems as I wait. Both of them stole glances at the book, which I didn't hide, and smiled as they both just shook their heads. This could be alchemy for all they knew.
A few minutes later, I think since I was tapping into, and out, hyper focus while I waited. This caused a raised eyebrow but again, I don't really care. "So I take it we have a deal? Oh? When did you change into the dress?" Ling-Ling nods in response and Mimi smiles shyly, "I just wanted to try it on is all."
"Aww, that's so cute!" I smile and ruffle her hair lightly; she frowns in response but doesn't really fight it either. "Well I am glad it fits well. That was why I checked you over like I did." She smiles, nods, blushes at the memory, and then looks down. I chuckle and then turn to Ling-Ling. "Sooo... I am excited to be a part of this alliance and hope that you will accept these gifts as a part of its forming." I say with a smile, slipping the book back into my inventory.
"I do have some questions for you." She offered to me, Mimi, back at her side, which I nodded at Ling-Ling. "Very well then. There is the pulling and putting things into and out of nothing? Also I know alchemists can grow fast but this is above and beyond." Mimi just watches silently, but clearly paying close attention.
"Those are the very questions I expected. First of all I am just kind of special and it's something I have been able to do for as far back as I can remember. The other ties in with that, I am a very naturally gifted alchemist. There really isn't a much better explanation than that." I finish with a shrug. This doesn't really seem to satisfy Ling-Ling, but at the same time she also seems to believe me. "Very well, I will accept that for now but should you figure out more feel free to share that as well." I just nod maybe one day but I doubt it. "So shall we discuss payment?" I scratch my head a little and really I only care about Mimi and Ling-Ling, of course the clout that Ling-Ling brings to the table is a very nice perk.
I just shake my head. "Nah! These are gifts. I will not accept payment for them." Ling-Ling is very much shocked and then her eyes narrow as she looks me over, but I don't flinch or show any reaction other than a smile. It's so funny how people like this are rendered defenseless, in a manner of speaking, when confronted with true gifts. "I mean... if it makes you more comfortable I can charge you? But I won't take payment for Mimi's things." Ling-Ling continues to watch me hard, Mimi just looking back and forth between us. Finally she seems to come to some decision and looks down at the crest.
"I suppose it would be rude to reject such thoughtful gifts. Mimi?" The girl in question looks to her mother. "Why don't you go ahead and try out your new spear while Alex and I finish up some final details?" Mimi breaks out in a big smile, bows to her mother, then bows to me with a big thank you and then vanishes to the sounds of laughter from Ling-Ling and myself. "She's adorable."
Ling-Ling turns fully back to me and smiles, "She really is. It is truly a shame that her father passed before she was bore, but... maybe it was better this way?" What is this? "But that is not for now. She walks over to the door and locks it. "I think it is time we revisited our previous discussion now that we are forming such a... deep connection." The hairs on the back of my neck stand up as a shiver runs down my spine. I smirk and nod, "Perhaps we should."

I think I missed something... Why did I gain...? Maybe delayed? Or is this the Ecchi world rearing its head again? Whatever the case I have pretty decently established myself here in Arland. It is time to make my way to Colseit finally. They should still be on their first assignment, But who knows. I head to my base and power everything down then, using the Terraformer, I cover my base and all the solar panels. I then set off towards the south. I need to find somewhere a little more out of the way then my base was. I jogged for a few hours until I found a wooded area and searched for a clearing within. Once I located it I reach into my inventory and find the hanger section, where my star ship is listed. I pull it into existence and smile at the audacity if it, sitting in this clearing in the Atelier universe. Well that's enough of that. I climb aboard and after looking over all the systems and the scanners I launch and quickly exit the atmosphere.
I smile, good to know space is the same. My stellar scanners are much better and get to work as I scan the planet. Just telling me a bunch of information I already knew or had guessed at already. The best think is it picks up Colseit. No Central or any of the other cities. I wonder how this is going to make them different. I quickly fly over to Colseit and land far enough away to maybe be seen, but it is in an area I know they have undiscovered ruins so they will make their own assumptions. I inventory my starship and make my way to Colseit, cutting down anything in my way with my katana. So close to town nothing stands a chance.
That was until I saw a pile of... something.
Jenova Foot.
A piece of the Great Calamity.
Umm... What? It twitches for a few moments and then rapidly shifts as it bubbles. Oh FUCK! Well I am not going to wait for this to finish shifting into whatever it’s changing into. I channel my MP and start crafting my bombs managing to hit it with two normal ones and two fire ones before it finishes shifting.
Jenova Drake
Level: 75
HP: 12,890/18,750
Well... My bombs sure are effective, even if that was it until I recover some. For some reason the drake looks pissed. I level Nebula at the drake as it rears back its head. Shit. I start to run right towards it and roll underneath slicing at its underbelly as I go. I pause for only a brief moment before quickly diving out from under the drake. All of the weight of the drake’s body slammed down onto the ground. I put a little bit of distance between us to take stock of the situation and look around for a moment before I am completely distracted by the fact that I am on FIRE! I quickly drop to the ground and roll around, putting out the flames, but not before...
HP: 1688/2250
Gamer's mind and adrenaline shut down the pain, which I am thankful for as I climb back to my feet, but both have trouble holding back the laughter as I see the Drake finish putting itself out as well. I wasn't sure if the drakes were immune to elements or not now that I was actually here. It might make it rethink the breath weapon though. I aim the multi-tool again and open fire with my bolt caster. I fire off six shots their echo ringing out, the only response to them being the roar of the drake as the rounds land right in its eyes, three to each of them.
HP: 9674/18,750
It roars and tramples everything around it as it breaths fire in every direction and every chance it can. I pull back, putting me further out of its range and watch it stampede, blindly, around. I pull out a potion vial and rear back with it before throwing it towards the drake. My eyes tracking it and I smile as the drake whipped its head around and smashed the vial against its teeth. That should do it... Maybe? I watch as it opens its jaws and then close them a few more times until they don't open again. I found the recipe for what is basically sovereigns glue, another underappreciated item. Too bad I only have one right now. Not that I couldn't make another if I needed but this should be fine. I start unloading into the head and neck of the drake. It is clear there is fear now as it starts to try and fly away, but I shred through the thin membrane of its wings with my laser before it could even get an inch off the ground.
HP: 9402/18,750
At this point it is pretty much over I mean I am not underestimating it but it's now grounded, blind, and it seems it has lost its breath weapon for now. There’s still plenty of dangerous parts and only half of the way. I play defensive, and just wait for opportune moments to slice at its underbelly, trying to hit around the same spot. When I can't get close I try to hit it with my laser. Once I am finished I see that its health got a tick up as well but several of my wounds weren't closing yet. I smile and pull the trigger on the multi-tool, hitting the same area of the underbelly I keep firing until I fully overcharge it. I inventory it and start to run as I start crafting my next bombs. Both shape charged into cones. I slide under the drake, but get knocked aside by an errant claw.
HP: 1238/2250
I recover quickly and dive again, sliding to a stop under it and having to quickly scramble the rest of the way to the spot I had opened up on and shove both bombs in, pointing towards its head. I then quickly roll out from under it, catching the tail to my side, and I figure that was a rib, and rushing clear before mentally triggering the bombs.
HP: 238/2250
I know I shouldn't laugh, plus it is awkward with the rib despite Gamer's Body. But the drake looked like a cannon going off. The head being the cannon ball, the rest of it collapses and I look off after the head and see that it is heading for Colseit. That's going to be amusing. I inventory the body in my hanger and then sit down, holding my side. To left me HP recover and hopefully heals the rib.
Jenova Drake Defeated!
Level Up! x5
Jenova Cells
Gacha Token x1
The Dusk Sample
I smile. That's nice and then I lean back and look up at the sky, since I'm waiting anyways. First the Jenova Cells... They are unpredictable. Into the inventory they go. I pull out the Dusk and look at it, trapped in a Petri dish.
The Dusk Sample
A small bit of the dusk.
?
Well that was useful. I go to put it back away when I stop and drop a portable refiner and place the sample inside, closing it up. I watch the screen as it scans it.
Error can't break down this biological material.
It’s alive then, that's a little creepy. I put everything back in my inventory and spin the Gacha.
Pass to the front of the DMV

I mean... that would have been a pretty awesome thing to have had in my old life. I look over my stats and sighed, a few more minutes. It is kind of funny though.
