“If there was ever a time where I thought I failed everyone in life, this is it. It’s because of you, Mr. Kawasaki, that I am now expelled from De La Rue Military School.” The girl muttered.
The man next to her smiled malevolently. For a teacher, he had given her the most miserable education possible. Something about him made her disturbed and uneasy, everywhere she went throughout school grounds it felt as though he was always watching her from afar.
“That may be true, young one, but today was simply an accident. I never intended to do what I did during your Test of Strength and Durability.”
The girl knew he was lying. The ‘accident’ he was referring to was the most embarrassing moment of her entire seventeen years of living. In order to pass her final exam, she had been set to fight Mr. Kawasaki (the teacher of combat) himself in a sword match. This school was very different than what you have seen on earth, for this girl’s life took place in a much far away universe. Where she is from, fighting is worth everything.
“So why did you rip the sword out of my hands before the match had even started!?” The girl gritted her teeth. “Why did you point your own blade at my throat mere seconds before you slashed me in front of all those students?!”
Mr. Kawasaki sighed heavily, closing his eyes and turning his back away.
“We both know our true identities are much more than just a student and a teacher here. If you would have passed the test and graduated De La Rue, you would’ve gone on to destroy my kingdom. You may be the young and spirited heir of the ocean , but you are no match for a samurai like me.”
