Claire was standing in the bedroom of her new apartment. Putting her things away. She signed the lease two weeks ago. Tonight was going to be her first official night there. Since she still needed to buy furniture she was focusing her attention on the bedroom. She was excited to try out her new Casper mattress that came out of a box. It fit perfectly on her new gray velvet upholstered platform bed. She still needed to go get some linens for her new bed.
The apartment was exactly wanted she wanted. It was a one-bedroom apartment in a pre-war building in Chelsea. It was an open-concept living area that had a spiral staircase that led to her bedroom. She loved the skylight that was in the bedroom. She was excited to start decorating the balcony that was off the living room. It was going to be a perfect spot for a glass of wine after work.
She was hanging her things in the closet when she heard the doorbell ring. I wonder who that is? She thought as she went to answer it. She smiled when she saw it was Blaine. She threw her arms around his neck.
"I missed you," she said. She had been so busy with the apartment. She hadn't really seen him except at work. She was glad he was here. She wanted him to see her new place.
"I missed you, too," he said holding her tight. He had missed her. Even though he saw her every day. He missed that sparkle in her eyes when she saw him. He missed this holding her in his arms. He stood there in her doorway holding her in his arms breathing in her scent.
"Really?" Claire asked when she pulled back still holding on to his neck.
"Really," he whispered placing a gentle kiss on her lips.
She giggled when she stepped back and saw what he was wearing. Even when he was casual he still looked professional. "That's what you wear on Saturdays?" she asked when she took his hand and led him inside.
"What?" Blaine asked as he looked at himself. He had put on his dark blue trousers and white dress shirt he rolled the sleeves up and left a couple of buttons undone. "What is wrong with what I am wearing?" he asked pulling Claire into his arms.
Claire shook her head in disbelief as she slipped her arms around his neck. Sighing when Blaine kissed longer and deeper this time. "I was hoping you would come by," she said leaning her forehead against his.
"I needed to see you, Claire," he said. "Besides I wanted to see what has been occupying all of your free time."
Claire took his hand and said, "Well let me give you the grand tour." Blaine entwined his fingers with hers as she led him around her empty apartment. "I still have a lot of work to do," she said. "But it's mine." She led him to the gas fireplace that was near the balcony doors. "I am so excited about this!" she exclaimed. "I haven't figured out exactly how I wanted it. I was thinking maybe a reading area or just a lounge area."
She led him up the spiral staircase to her loft bedroom. "I'm starting here first," she said. "I still need to get some linens so I can stay here tonight." She took Blaine's free hand and slipped it around her waist. She let go of the hand that held hers and slid her arms around his neck. "So, what do you think?" she asked.
Blaine held her close and said, "I like it." He wanted to do something for Claire. He wanted to give her a housewarming gift. "How about I take you shopping? I will buy you anything you want."
Claire looked at Blaine and said, "You don't have to buy me anything." But she did like the idea of spending the day with him. She laid her head on his shoulder playing with his buttons that were undone. "I would love to spend the day with you," she said softly.
Blaine kissed her forehead and said, "I will accompany you only if you promise to let me buy you a housewarming gift," he said casually.
Claire looked at him and said, "You drive a hard bargain, Mr. Kincaid."
Blaine brought Claire's hand to his lips. "Not really," he said letting his lips linger. "I've told you I'm selfish when it comes to you, Claire." He lifted her chin and placed a gentle kiss on her lips. "I honestly want to do something special for you. You deserve it, Claire."
"Thank you," Claire said as she brushed a kiss across Blaine's lips. "Let me change out of these clothes." She had on a green baggy sweatshirt and white shorts. She waited till Blaine had gone back downstairs. "I'll be just a minute," she said as she stepped into her walk-in closet. She wanted something casual but cute. She decided on her white oversized sweater and black skinny jeans. She pulled the ponytail she had worn down and let her hair fall loose. She applied a little make-up. "Ready," she said as she came down the stairs.
Blaine was standing in front of the balcony doors. He turned when he heard Claire's voice. Damn, he thought. Even in an oversized sweater, she is the most beautiful delicate creature. Even though she was far from delicate. She was one of the strongest people he knew. She had kept her chin held up high with everything that had been thrown at her. He had nothing but the utmost respect for her. "You look beautiful," he said as he held her hand.
Claire blushed and said, "Thank you." Grabbing her keys on their way out the door.
"So where would you like to go?" Blaine asked.
"I don't know," Claire stated as she locked the door.

Blaine looked down at Claire, she was smiling. They were lying in front of Claire's fireplace. On blankets and pillows she had bought while they were out shopping. When he brought her back she asked him if he would stay the night with her. She looked so beautiful curled up next to him lying in the moonlight.
"What's that smile for?" he asked.
She laced her fingers through his and said, "For the first time in a long time I'm happy."
Blaine lifted her chin and asked, "You haven't been happy?"
"I thought I was but spending time with you has made me realize that I wasn't happy," she said.
Blaine couldn't help but smile. "I make you happy," he stated.
Claire giggled as she rolled on top of him wrapping her arms around his head. She brought her lips to his and kissed him gently. "Yes, Mr. Kincaid. You make me very happy."
Blaine reached up and cupped her cheek. "That makes me very happy," he said. Claire being happy was all that mattered to him.
Claire saw how happy Blaine was that she was happy. Ty never cared if I was happy. She thought all he cared was about himself. Spending time with Blaine made her realize that Ty's cheating on her was the best thing. Claire took Blaine's mouth into hers. She wanted him to know how much she wanted him. She slipped her tongue inside his mouth. Deeping the kiss as he slid his hands down to her ass. She took her time exploring his mouth. She kissed him with everything she felt. She had never kissed a man the way she was kissing Blaine. With such passion and such need. It was as if she was thirsty and Blaine was her oasis. The kiss went on forever. It was long and hard, slow and passionate. Finally, they came up for air.
"What the hell was that for?" Blaine asked panting. He had never in his life been kissed like that before.
Claire smiled as she said, "Because I'm so glad I met you."

Claire laughed as she danced to the music. She had met Kimmie and her sister Jenny at Saffron. It was a nightclub a couple of blocks from her apartment. After they found out Ty did the same thing to Jenny. Kimme said they had to meet. She normally wasn't a nightclub person. But after everything that has happened. She was starting to do new things. And Kimmie and Jenny were becoming good friends. She needed new friends she needed a fresh start. She didn't want a constant reminder of how stupid she had been. And her old friends would remind her. And she wasn't the same Claire she was before.
"I need a drink," Claire said panting heading for the bar. She had never danced so much in her life.
"Me, too," Kimmie and Jenny said in unison following her to the bar.
"What are you ladies having?" the cute bartender asked.
"Whiskey," Claire said excitedly. She had never drunk whiskey before. She wanted to try something new. This was what tonight was all about. Doing something she had never done before.
Kimmie looked at Claire shockingly and stated, "I didn't know you drank whiskey."
"I don't," Claire said downing the shot of whiskey. It burned her throat and made her eyes watered. "I think I should stick with wine or martinis," she said coughing.
"Try a margarita," Jenny said taking a sip of hers. Doing her best to flirt with the cute bartender. "Hey, Zack," Jenny called to the bartender. "Give, Claire a margarita."
Zack looked at Claire and asked, "What do you say, pretty lady? "Want one?"
Claire shrugged her shoulder and said, "Why not?"
Zack smiled as he made Claire her margarita. "Here you go pretty lady," he said.
Claire slowly took a sip of the white concoction. "Mmm," she said. "That's really good."
"I think we have a winner," Kimmie said throwing her hands up in the air. "I'm so glad you came, Claire," she said taking a sip of her drink. It was the club's specialty drink. It looked like the sunset it was called The Sunset.
"Me, too. Thank you for inviting me," Claire said. And she was glad they invited her. She needed a girl's night out. "I so needed this," she said.
"Well," Jenny said. "Let's finish our drinks and go dance some more."
Claire headed out to the dance floor with her two new friends. The DJ started playing one of her favorite songs. "I love this song," she exclaimed. She swayed and twirled to the upbeat music. She sang way out of tune, but she didn't care. She was having the best time of her life.
She danced and laughed until she was breathless and her side began to hurt. "I need a breather," she told Kimmie and Jenny. She headed for the bar to get another drink. "Hey, Zack," she said. "Give me another margarita."
Zack smiled and said, "You got it."
Claire took a sip of her new favorite drink. She stopped in mid-sip. Standing at the other end of the bar was Ty. At first, she thought about leaving. No, you not going anywhere. She told herself. He doesn't own you anymore. He is your past. Just a lesson learned. She looked at her phone when she heard that she had a message. It was Blaine. 77Please respect copyright.PENANASr5HnYsfPy

She looked at the man who made her feel so stupid and worthless. Then she thought of Blaine. A man who never makes her feel stupid or worthless. She thought of the way he never took his eyes off her when she talked. She was pretty sure Ty never listened to a word she said. She thought about the way Blaine kissed her and how he took his time kissing her. How sometimes it was so hot and heavy it left her breathless. She thought about how smart and sexy, Blaine was. How he made her nervous and excited all at the same time. How he made her feel so safe and secure. She looked at Ty and realized he never made her feel any of those things. All he ever made her feel was miserable. At that moment she realized she wanted to sleep with Blaine. And tonight was the night it was going to happen. She didn't care what she had to do. 77Please respect copyright.PENANAevUcpoZJSP
She went to go look for Kimmie and Jenny. She found them talking to some cute guys. "Hey, you guys. I think I'm going to go," Claire said.
"Why?" Jenny asked looking disappointed.
"Did you not have fun?" Kimmie asked concerningly.
"I had the best time," Claire said reassuringly. "I just need to take care of something," she stated.
"Okay," Kimmie and Jenny said in unison looking at each other confusingly.
"I'll call you tomorrow," Claire said as she headed for the door. Blaine Kincaid, your sexy ass is mine tonight. She thought as she waited for her Uber to Blaine's apartment.
