I sat outside on a bench in the never ending yard. Staring out at the old oak tree. Its late fall. The air is crisp. Dew covers the grass. The tree missing it's leaves. Early morning fog perfecting the view.
"I think I'll climb it," I said to myself. "No you won't" a woman said from behind me. I turned to see a smiling petite woman. Her black hair was in a bun. She wore a simple baby blue pencil dress.
"That tree is dangerous."
"Why?"
"It just is. Don't go near it." She turned and walked through hazy double doors, leaving me with the warning. I turned back around facing the tree. I noticed a single black bird was sitting on a branch. What kind of bird it was, I couldn't say. It was to far for me to see it clearly.
I sighed, standing up. "May as well go back inside." And so I walked through the doors, everything a blur. Eventually I reached my room. I immediately threw myself on my bed, and fell asleep.
