Park Hae Jin was hoping to have a quiet year at his new high school until one day during gym class, he drowns from not being able to swim and the mysterious and popular boy Hong Yoon Yi quickly saves him from death. From then on, Hae Jin can't stop thinking about Yoon Yi saving him and he starts to develop feelings for him. Though, Hae Jin gets his hopes up too high and is quickly crushed when Yoon Yi tells him that him saving Hae Jin meant nothing to him. Feeling defeated, Hae Jin isn't ready to give up on Yoon Yi while his feelings continue to grow for his savior. Now Hae Jin has to battle not only his feelings for Yoon Yi and Yoon Yi not liking him back, but also the daily torment of his classmates who know him as, "The Emo Kid".
