Echoing droplets of water, gentle breeze flowing, the smell of roses.
Eyelids, twitching, a slight bat open then to shut, blinking several times and then opening, brown eyes looking up at a silver-blue sky, pink clouds floating by with no sun shining, yet the sky would be lit up. A glance left, then right, white fluff patches all around almost like clouds, then sitting, more and more, trees made of the same stuff, though not long after they would shrink in size, adopting a variety of colors: brown, green, gray, yellow, slowly forming a natural landscape.
A subtle glance around, it would almost seem like a nature preserve with nothing but foliage around, this person standing with their hands out, looking over, “What kind of messed up drugs am I on right now?”
A step forward, feet crunching on something soft yet odd, “Snow?”
Forward, through the brush shoving it aside with cracks and splintering sounds, there would be a clearing, looking around, their expression puzzled.
“Where the heck am I?”
Another couple of steps forward and a pause.
“Hello!?”
Silence, several seconds of silence and the wind flowing.
“Weird… what is this place even?”
A crackle of brush up ahead, someone stumbling forward, a girl, “No way, Kayla?!”
“Sujit? Whoa, is this some kind of dream or what? Hi Dream Sujit!”
“Kayla I’m not a dream… are you- what even...”
“What? Heh heh, this is a really weird dream.”
“Hey, you two mind keeping it down?”
Two others would come from the brush on another end of the clearing, Sujit’s eyes darting over followed by Kayla, a guy and a girl.
“Autumn?”
“Sujit? Kayla? What the heck is this?”
“Hmph, why the heck am I dreaming about all of you anyway?”
“This isn’t a dream,” a voice would call out, to the other end a girl sitting in a tree looking out over them, “I know because I don’t know any of you in person and yet here you all are.”
“You could just be making this up if it’s your dream but that wouldn’t be right because I’m the one dreaming, who the heck are you?”
“I’m Ellie, or rather I’m Ace.”
“Ace is a girl!?”
“Who knew.”
“Well, Ace, mind helping us figure this madness out?”
“Sorry Sujit but I don’t know. I wasn’t even sleeping when I came here, I was on my computer at home and then bam, next thing I know I’m opening my eyes here.”
“Hi Ace!”
“Hi Kayla!”
“This is just illogical. This has to be a dream.”
Several more sounds all around, brush parting with more people walking out, though all of these guys strangers, chattering to themselves, giving a rough estimate of upwards of seventy as time went on though more and more gradually popping in, Sujit losing track at one hundred.
“So any idea why we’re here?”
“No, what about you guys?”
“No.”
“Is this a dream?”
“Is this my dream?”
“How could it be yours when it is mine?”
“Shut up whoever you are.”
“Aizen Gilgar kiddo, and your name?”
“Jordan.”
The chatting would continue, back and forth for several more minutes, more and more people clustering into the clearing, until finally after a few minutes, people stopped pouring in, there being just constant chat exchanged about what kind of dream they’re all having and asking questions about where and why.
“Everyone, shut up!!” came the bark of one of them, “I don’t know what the heck this is but if it is real, I’m going to go find the exit and get the hell out!”
“Why don’t you go then you bastard?”
“What did you call me!?”
“ENOUGH!!!” a loud echoing voice called out, the source, from the sky. All eyes quickly glancing up to see a single man, his hair blue and eyes purple-pink, hair long down to his mid-neck and somewhat spiky, just hovering there.
“This, is not a dream. If you don’t believe me you can find out when you wake up; this, is real. My name is Adam, Son of God. I don’t expect a single one of you to find this real, if you did I’d call you crazy. You’ve all been brought here because of a rapidly approaching threat. The leagues of Hell are growing restless, having amassed new power to take over Heaven and the Earth due to the stubbornness of the modern mortal. As such, they’ve been able to invade as the power of Heaven weakens due to lack of faith, yet they refused due to their cowardly leader. Satan has been murdered and Hell is on the move. You’ve all been selected to stop this by receiving training and powers to help fight.”
Everyone would just look, silence, then all at once, majority would break out into laughter, with Adam shaking his head.
“Heaven and Hell, yeah right, haha!”
“What a hell of a Dream this is, man.”
They laughter would continue, though quickly silenced for an unseen reason, everyone then grasping their throats, mouths moving but nothing coming out. A glance back up would show Adam, his right arm out, hand flexed.
“Now that I have your attention, I’ll leave you with this because I know I can’t keep you here and make you believe what I am saying. In one month, I will be calling you all back here. When you awaken, look upon your right palms, you will see the Mark of God carved into your flesh. I urge you all to consider this. The fate of your world will soon be in your hands… it will not be an easy fight, many of you might die though know that if you do, you will be welcomed as heroes in the Heavens for your work. With that, I bid thee farewell to-be heroes and cowards who wish not to be.”
His fingers would then snap… followed by a flash by next nothingness.
-
Lurching forward, Sujit’s eyes bolting around, wide eyed, a sigh leaving him, head shaking, “What a hell of a dream, I almost thought that-”
Looking down, his eyes would widen. Blood dripping from his hand, a G with a crucifix woven into it engraved within his hand, the Mark of God.
“N-n-no way!”
