Ami lead me into the back of the abandoned bar that they had talked about, “Welcome to The Suicidal Cliff!”
“Damn, this place is run down.”
“Yeah. It was pretty popular when Rebecca was a freshman. We ended up sneaking in together… Which was really bad considering that I was eleven, and she was fourteen…”
“Seriously?”
“Yep.”
“I was a little shit when I was eleven, but I don't remember sneaking into bars… How the hell did you manage to get in?”
“Okay, I get it, I’m four feet tall and have a baby face.”
“That's not what I-”
“I'm just teasing,” Ami laughed, “Turns out the owner was part of a pedophile ring, which is how I got in, and why this place closed down.”
“Well, that's a bit creepy.”
“Yeah, I'm glad I was an ugly piece of shit back then… and now.”
“You aren't ugly.”
“Pfft, yeah right.” Ami laughed,
“I'm serious. I think you look handsomely beautiful.” I told them, making them blush slightly,
“Thanks.”
“I don't know why you're thanking me for stating the facts.”
“That sounds cliche.” Ami shook their head, chuckling.
“Yeah, it does, doesn't it?” I felt my cheeks warm up, and I smiled shyly at them,
“Anywaysss, in these boxes, we've got guns. Lots of guns. In the other ones over here, there's all sorts of close combat weapons.”
“How did you guys get all of this?”
“We've been stealing from my parents supply.” They told me, as they dug through one of the boxes filled with guns, pulling out a pistol, and handing it to me, “I loaded it already, so just give it a shot.” They directed.
Without thinking, I fired it towards the window, causing it to shatter, and lodged in the skull of the boy who had just happened to be the boy from earlier.
“Shit.”
“What the heck were you thinking?!” Ami asked, though I didn't bother to answer, as I was caught up on the fact that I had just killed a boy, and that Tyler witnessed it, sending him into a panic attack.
“Fuck, fuck, fuck!” Preston tried to pull Tyler up off the ground, but Tyler didn't move. Instead, he kept his hands clutched on his ears, while barely rocking himself,
“What in the fuck is going on? Is he okay?” Ami asked, running over to Preston and Tyler,
“He's having an episode.” Preston shook his head, “Fuck…”
“Wh-What kind of episode?” I asked, unable to move any closer,
“PTSD.”
