When the composite sketch was completed, Mikuni handed it to me.
"Look at this guy," Mikuni said, "Doesn't it look like the manager of the bank downtown?" I frowned and looked at the sketch. It did look like the manager of H Bank downtown, Shawn Comings, but I couldn't be certain. It was not as vague as I thought it would be, seeing as the witness only saw the suspect from behind.
"He certainly does," I muttered, "But shouldn't we check the CCTV footage from the Gumptree's?"
"They were vandalized last week," Mikuni said, "Nobody was able to come fix them since." I sighed.
"Okay, I guess we have to bring Mr. Comings in for questioning," I said, "If you receive any new information, Mikuni, let me know."
"Roger that sir," Mikuni said raising his hand in salute. I'll admit, it was a little hard to believe a guy like him was in the military before becoming an officer, because of he always wore clothes a size or so too big. It's sad that both of us have height complexes on top of everything, with me barely being 5'6".
I ran a hand through my long dark brown hair as I yawned. Today was going to be another long one, but I better go get Mr. Comings.
when I arrived at H Bank, other officers were already there. Mr. Comings was shouting obscenities, while wrestling the officers trying to get the handcuffs off. I was not expecting Mr. Comings to surrender right away, but I also wasn't expecting whatever this was.
"You fucking asshole, I told you I am a law abiding citizen!" Mr. Comings shouted, "I would never do whatever it is you are arresting me for!"
"We're arresting you for assaulting an officer and resisting arrest," Archer shouted as he finally managed to grab a hold of the squirmy Mr. Comings, "If nothing else."
"I see we're a bit of a squirmy wormy today, Mr. Comings," I muttered under my breath.
"What the fuck?" Mr. Comings shouted as he looked at me.
"You're coming with us for questioning, Mr. Comings," I said.
"It's Shawn to you, Detective Edwin!" Mr. Comings shouted. I didn't think we were that close, I had only helped him a few times in the past.
"It doesn't look good for you right now," I said, "Acting like you know me better than you actually do. It isn't polite."
"I would make love to you a million times if I could, Detective Edwin," Mr. Comings shouted.
"You just said that out loud, Mr. Comings," Archer said. Mr. Comings blushed.
"Sorry I was getting a little riled up," Mr. Comings said, "I guess I can't take that back."
"I don't date murderers," I said.
"Oh, wonderful," Mr. Comings said, "I would never kill anyone."
"Really? Mr. Comings, you're a suspect for a murder," I said with a smirk.
