A/N: These are totally optional and you can just skip past them, but they serve to inform the reader about terms in the world so i don't have to shoehorn the descriptions in because sometimes context doesn't completely clarify.37Please respect copyright.PENANA5AejWSag10
The Stages of Dragon Life:
Egg: Dragons are born with some amount of intelligence. They do not experience their childhood in the same way that most mortal races do. They are sentient from the moment their egg is laid, and can hear the outside world but cannot reply to anything or see it.
Whelp: A dragon recently just hatched. They are considered whelps for roughly a decade, give or take until they are big enough to take down prey on their own.
Drake: The draconic equivalent of an adolescent stage. They'll spend a couple centuries in this stage, until their size stops increasing.
Dragon: A fully grown dragon. They are as big as they'll ever get, and quite formidable foes.
Wyrm: Ancient, older than most other species can even comprehend.
