'Keep what you need', Mom said.

'But, I want the doll, Mom', Tracey insisted.

'Keep what you need', Mom repeated.

Tracey looked at her.

Frowning, she didn't think that she would keep all of her toys in the bedroom. For her, the smell of old things from the 1950's, and 1960's, were from Tracey's Grandparents' days when they were children. It was 2020. CO-VID 19 was the new horror show; a show of death, and misery.

Tracey looked at the box.

She opened it.

A jumping clown was in it.

She looked at the lever.

It was an old-fashioned wind-up toy.

It sprang up, and gave Tracey a scare.

Keep what you need, she thought.

And she shivered.
