Elliot remembered everything, from start to finish. He remembered how Ghordo had sent them on their quest with Ordo and Louis, who were now safely protected in a stable. He remembered how they used to be afraid of metal, but along with so many other fears, that fear died. He remembered how he held a big distrust against Bethil, but now he was pretty certain he could trust him with his entire life. He remembered his first encounter with Daphne, and he had never thought that she would be fighting alongside him as one of his most loyal companions now. He remembered meeting Livi for the first time in that camp, and he suddenly missed her red locks. He remembered meeting Rok's family, meeting Korlos and seeing Ghordo again. He remembered entering Sharran's Valley for the first time, being greeted by Tully and Pitér as well. He remembered defeating Hayres alongside Anevay, and he remembered taking out the former heroes to set the start of a new era. He remembered Taverness, seeing an entire different world open in front of him. He remembered Marrie's loss and he remembered finally reaching the Eastern Bay.100Please respect copyright.PENANAMCcqERQiwb
"Are you ready?" Anevay asked. A smile had grown on her face. He remembered leaving Hilltop with the woman he loved, always being by her side. 100Please respect copyright.PENANAZ2OR7T0Gnt
Every single gorgeous bit of his life would lead up to this moment, and he should've known it all along. Fate causes nice journeys and adventures, he remembered himself saying before they went on this quest. Elliot smiled, looked at the group around him, and couldn't help but feel sentimental. These were his last moments with them. 100Please respect copyright.PENANAyRj6m1ezGv
So he straightened his back, swallowed his sorrow and shot Ane a smile.100Please respect copyright.PENANAKr3uxV2jqD
"More than I could ever be," he grinned. 100Please respect copyright.PENANAaiXmKajOgi
They barged in Ninéya's throne room and the two guards immediately drew their weapons.100Please respect copyright.PENANAUC2aW6OUWj
Elliot's breath stopped in his throat as he saw two pillars neatly placed next Ninéya's throne, and Remna hung between them. Her arms were spread, her wrists tied with rough rope and attached to the tops of the pillars. Her pink hair fell over her lifeless body in greasy streaks and her head hung low. Remna's gorgeous tail draped down the stairs and to everybody's horror, they noticed how her fins had been ripped off.100Please respect copyright.PENANA76Gn5jy9DB
"Welcome back," Ninéya spoke as she rose. 100Please respect copyright.PENANA6q1hQe2Ohl
"How could you?" Anevay hissed.100Please respect copyright.PENANAH2vMHeWS4X
"Let this inevitable battle begin," Ninéya exclaimed. Her appearance made place for her hybrid form, and the earth around them began shaking around. The quake lasted long, but nobody reacted to this and they all stared in Ninéya's eyes, wrapping their hearts in a layer of steel as they ignored Remna.100Please respect copyright.PENANAXlfGqupHZP
This is it, Elliot thought. This is the last moments I'll be here. Whether I'll be murdered or rescue this world, the time is near. So close. They were so close. 100Please respect copyright.PENANAnS157Nk8uZ
So he inhaled, raised his weapon and exclaimed a battle cry along with the others, as Anevay raised her army of undead along with Ninéya who had summoned her own army of demonic entities. Ninéya's throne hall wasn't sufficient, so she tore down all the walls. They collapsed and faded into nothing but ash as the castle around her disappeared and united with the ground. Clouds of ash floated around them, but everyone could see that the island had become a battlefield where the dead fought the dead and the living fought the living. 100Please respect copyright.PENANAwVpt3LXDDp
Elliot's eyes caught a glimpse of a demon lunging forward towards him, so he dodged and drew his longsword as he pierced the blade between the demon's shoulder blades, slicing open the leathery skin. He swiftly moved forward and decapitated another beast. 100Please respect copyright.PENANAozSjr3sdCT
He completely lost himself in battle, fighting off the monsters that came rushing towards him. He had little time to take in his surroundings, but many undead had risen to fight alongside him and he saw his comrades, faces splattered with blood, weapons wet and red. They fought more bravely than Elliot had ever recalled them fighting. So fearlessly, so unleashed. So unlimited.100Please respect copyright.PENANAfiLigWQzCj
Elliot stretched his left arm. It almost felt like each muscle within his arm tore apart while a bigger muscle grew under his skin that stretched and became a rough, raw texture. His hand was replaced by a claw, vicious nails on the end. His teeth became large and sharp as if he had filed them into wolf's teeth. He felt unimaginably strong and dangerous and when Elliot sliced his claw across the chest of his opponent and the blood gushed out of his diagonal wounds, he could feel how he completely filled himself up with power as the spirit of the devil absorbed him into something greater than strength.100Please respect copyright.PENANAnAmJJGlvic
He saw Ane carry the claymore in her hands. She was bleeding out of several wounds on her arms, but she still managed to push on through. She never quiet. That wasn't Ane. That was one of the many things he admired about her. The golden cross-guard glimmered in the light along with her silver eyes. She fed on the deaths of her opponent, trying to fight her way towards Ninéya who was one with a higher spirit as she was summoning more and more demons.100Please respect copyright.PENANAF3oZxbJ5jG
Elliot smoothly avoided being hit and plunged his teeth in his enemy's skin, tearing it apart as he bit a huge chunk of flesh out of the demon's neck. He felt very beastly, but when he saw that Lemennie had completely embraced her own monster-like side as she was almost literally feeding off the dead skin of her victim, Elliot only felt more confident.100Please respect copyright.PENANAWcADt49czF
He noticed Bethil's grace as she rapidly attacked multiple enemies at a time with his black short swords. It didn't matter where they came from; they soon went down anyhow. He had some crucial injuries on his right arm, but it still functioned pretty well. He used everything he had, and when they made eye contact they gave each other a confident nod.100Please respect copyright.PENANA14utuzjyxC
The ground suddenly shook some more. Apparently, Ninéya didn't find the domain large enough. Patches of grass slowly grew over the lake, closing the lake off completely, casting nothing but darkness on the citizens. It soon felt like there had never even been a lake, but instead a huge area of grass from which demons crawled. 100Please respect copyright.PENANApOiQBqXPut
Elliot clearly saw that Ane had picked up on this as well, and she took this chance to also summon more of her own army. He shared a grin with Anevay before they continued fighting, and Elliot couldn't believe his ears when he heard the intense roaring of two dragons that just had been unleashed. They flew high above the mess and mingled in the fight. Unfortunately, the force field that Ninéya had pulled up around her was still intact. So she stood there, concentrating on her army, a glistening blade in her belt.100Please respect copyright.PENANA7bZchPNJ5X
Suddenly, Elliot was back to back with Daphnelle. He felt the brilliant aura surrounding Daphne just like the demons surrounded them. She was completely in touch with her Druidic side, he noticed. He had never seen her cast any spells because she had always been very attached to her falchion, so when he saw her cast a grand spell that purified several demons at the same time he watched in awe as their enemies fell to ashes. Yet it was draining and took a lot of time, so Elliot covered Daphne whilst she took time to get some air.100Please respect copyright.PENANA6yVyV6Cm9n
"Thank you," she mouthed before she continued on fighting. 100Please respect copyright.PENANAHBaYJD1KfG
Elliot soon met up with Jarco in the battlefield. His gladius was completely dipped in a nasty blood. He wanted to thank him for being the loyal mentor he had always been, but it wasn't the time. Elliot was sure that he knew, though. Besides, Jarco wasn't just fighting for himself. He was fighting for every single individual here, and for Livi and Lewir and Marrie. He avenged their souls.100Please respect copyright.PENANAP80kpS8iDt
Somewhere in the mess of undead and demons, Elliot saw Sarkhan and Peita working together like a natural pair of soulmates. Sarkhan's broadsword quickly thrusted in and out enemies while Peita took a more brutal approach to completely massacre the bodies of her opponents with a series of wicked attacks with her two-bladed sword. Peita bled out of more than twenty wounds, that was certain, but Sarkhan's grace seemed to give him an advantage.100Please respect copyright.PENANAEHZQiv6yDa
The King and Aris worked together surprisingly well. Elliot saw his mother take out the demons with the help of magic while the King relied on his sturdy longsword to execute them one by one. Elliot supposed that they both had a certain experience the others had not, and that helped them understand each other's fighting styles. A pain grew in Elliot's chest; he would have to say goodbye to his mother as well.100Please respect copyright.PENANAkt1nrpLH2C
Elliot ducked quickly upon the attempted beheading by Mounty. She reacted with a laugh. Elliot could tell that Mounty was truly enjoying this. Her rapier was gorgeous and it seemed as if the blood mixed with the colour of the steel, giving it a glow.100Please respect copyright.PENANAc1VWrH5vUf
"Good luck, Elliot," she spoke before she moved on and helped to assist Mint, who was very smoothly making her way through an abundance of monsters with two daggers that shone a fantastic blue. Elliot wasn't sure where the two get their weapons from, but they were by far the most extravagant.100Please respect copyright.PENANA0I5Qp0QWMb
Hallan and Willis were also giving each other back-up. Hallan's spear had punctured many heads and Willis' rapier had sliced open many bodies. You could tell they both had something noble, though Willis was the only one with the actual royal status. Who would have ever thought they'd fight together with the King of the Humans? 100Please respect copyright.PENANAv6KDclTcjx
Elliot fought through more crowd and eventually got suffered several cuts on his claw-arm, but the adrenaline that rushed through his body completely blocked off any pain or exhaustion. 100Please respect copyright.PENANAT7iCF9Q7Px
He saw Tully and Pitér's elegantly make waves in the number of enemies. Their teamwork was still beyond perfection and it seemed as if they almost were intertwined in a dance together, forgetting that they could die with one wrong movement. Elliot's chest filled with warmth. Love was something beautiful, and he'd truly miss sharing the sensations with Anevay.100Please respect copyright.PENANANylhH1siiA
As Elliot continued on fighting, he had to rub his eyes with his hand twice to make sure that he wasn't just dreaming when he saw Livi, Marrie and Lewir fight with them. However, they each promisingly smiled Elliot's way, and he knew that Anevay had risen them. She had even taken the time to summon Korlos, Rok and Ghordo, who fought closely with Aris. 100Please respect copyright.PENANAhw1LHP8cYw
Everything went south when he turned to Hellen and Vastice. Hellen's bow was gorgeous and the arrows in her quiver never seemed to diminish. The complex model of the bow showed that either Peita, Vastice or Lemennie were behind the design as gears helped speed up the process of shooting. Elliot stopped himself from being more impressed and he watched Vastice. 100Please respect copyright.PENANA0dL7bELjsn
"Too close," Elliot whispered to himself. His eyes then shot open. "Too close!" he yelled. 100Please respect copyright.PENANAO6MijwNChM
Vastice hit Ninéya's force field, but instead of flying back, Ninéya angrily grabbed him inside the field.100Please respect copyright.PENANAseinyBrzHb
"No!" 100Please respect copyright.PENANA23cd5Dkc1d
Time seemed to flow slower. Elliot ran Vastice's way, but by the time he got there, Ninéya had also punched her hand through Vastice's chest and ripped out his heart. In one solid, cruel moment, Vastice was thrown out of the force field only to land right in front of Hellen while Ninéya devoured the heart that had just been beating.100Please respect copyright.PENANAEFoquZOgmc
Elliot watched Hellen fall to her knees. Her eyes couldn't tear away from the gaping hole in Vastice's body. It was a moment that froze everyone around them, sending chills down their spine as one of their comrades had just fallen. 100Please respect copyright.PENANA9jumACLLX6
"Not now, Hellen!" exclaimed Iopeita before he helped her up. "Fight with us."100Please respect copyright.PENANAK4MRL02jBY
Hellen obeyed and wiped away her tears. A soul of solid stone, Elliot thought. Both Hellen and Iopeita, who seemed to abandon all pain and grief.100Please respect copyright.PENANAAVHYYOiFbF
"Elliot!"100Please respect copyright.PENANAIapotHO8Rf
He turned around and watched Daphne run towards him.100Please respect copyright.PENANAzXfH3Qg2AF
"You have to get Lemennie and get your father to kill Ninéya. Only evil can fight such evil," she hurriedly spoke. She repeated what Aethul had told her, and Elliot swallowed a sudden burst of fear. To his surprise, Daphne pulled him in for an unexpected hug, and she then turned around and killed off more demons before Mia and Judian could. It seemed like the dragons were also upset by the death of their owner as their power weakened.100Please respect copyright.PENANAOYP99t8u1j
Elliot ran through the chaos around him and he grabbed Lemennie's arm. He saw the tears in her eyes, but also the hardened expression on her face.100Please respect copyright.PENANAA1GvNez05F
"Let's go get Garlath to take out Ninéya," he shouted.100Please respect copyright.PENANAOxrT8BibQH
"What if he won't help us?" Lemennie asked, showing off her own row of sharp teeth.100Please respect copyright.PENANAoJt5xcE3rt
"He must. We are his children."100Please respect copyright.PENANAd1lDFBnT0Z
Lemennie smiled sentimentally and she nodded. The two siblings ran off through the forests, heading for the well. Adrenaline still rushed through their bodies as they ran through the tunnels. 100Please respect copyright.PENANAgKPoqBYSsl
Almost as if Ninéya noticed the disappearance of two of her favourite martyrs, she dropped the field around her and headed for Anevay. She walked up to her, and the moment they stood eye to eye, in front of each other, it was almost as if everybody around them froze.100Please respect copyright.PENANAoxCbyp3WC5
"Where is your friend?" Ninéya asked, her voice hoarse and hollow.100Please respect copyright.PENANABV8bvKRd3j
"Which one?" grinned Ane. Her grin soon disappeared when Ninéya's hand reached for her neck, and with the simple strength of one arm she rose Ane off the floor, her feet dangling just above the grass where she had just been standing. The princess had no choice but to drop her weapon and try to struggle out of Ninéya's grip. The oxygen was cut off and Ane felt that very clearly.100Please respect copyright.PENANAnTqaB7vCVC
"Tell me where he is," Ninéya threatened, tightening the grip around her neck.100Please respect copyright.PENANAyiOHVRaQ9M
"Go find it out yourself," Ane uttered with loads of effort.100Please respect copyright.PENANARRdMOzf0XZ
Ane thought that she'd explode. That she'd die. Right here, right now. 100Please respect copyright.PENANAjsQZ2OBs44
"Let her go."100Please respect copyright.PENANAxz56qy6OYN
Ninéya's reflexes helped her raise her hand right before Daphne's falchion hit her head, but because of the growing pain in her hand she let Ane fall to the floor, where Jarco ran to her aid. 100Please respect copyright.PENANAlVhWJ6lHs4
Daphne pushed through, splitting Ninéya's hand with her blade, while the evil witch withstood all pain. They both put up their aura's. Evil against Druidic. And they were both incredibly strong, and they felt it drain their bodies. If there was one thing, however, that Ninéya didn't have, it were companions. Her guards had been easily overwhelmed by the fellowship, and now she was alone aside from her demons that were recklessly fighting the undead army of Ane. 100Please respect copyright.PENANAfWYv8VfV9T
And right then, when Daphne was about to give up, she was reminded that she had never been alone. Circling over them, metres above the ground, flew the dragon. Majestic, gorgeous, powerful. Broad wings, coloured a wonderful crimson, a picture to be put in every history book. 100Please respect copyright.PENANAuf3HtmnhyK
"Bethil," Daphne smiled on a whisper tone. 100Please respect copyright.PENANAdK3xyNjVfS
The dragon came crashing down and splattered any demons that it could smash. Daphne pulled her blade out of Ninéya's hands and she her way back to the rest of the fellowship that was still fighting the horde of demonic entities. 100Please respect copyright.PENANAQaPLCrjS9s
Bethil had entirely embraced his form as a dragon and was ready to take on Ninéya. He knew he couldn't defeat her, but he knew that he could weaken her or at least distract her until it was no longer necessary. After an attempt to roast her skin, it was clear the she was immune to that. And while dragon and hybrid fought with claws and magic, they seemed to both engage in some odd routine involving two polar opposites coming together.100Please respect copyright.PENANAxXmYngsXL9
Anevay watched them fight and she hated to admit it, but Ninéya was a masterful warrior. She fought with grace and power and she moved in all the right ways. She couldn't deny that Ninéya was one of the best enemies anyone could fight in the sense that she was a genuine challenge if you were a match for her.100Please respect copyright.PENANAE9I4MGaWjP
Bethil felt his as well. The fight was almost enjoyable, because it was a series of counterattacks, parries and hits all in the right order, stringing together an act of rivalry and battle. However, it was tiring. Keeping up the dragon form alone took a lot of might and drained his power rapidly, and he soon felt like he could no longer match up with the high energy of Ninéya.100Please respect copyright.PENANAByW1iSbhW9
Daphne and Ane noticed this, but it was Ane who told Daphne to stay put.100Please respect copyright.PENANAm7wMJ0ivXk
"We will be fine. I promise," she told the Druid, who nodded and wished her the best of luck before she lunged towards one of her decreasing opponents.100Please respect copyright.PENANAix0vZBCPjG
Bethil thanked Ane from the bottom of his heart as he flew up and turned into something less draining like a hummingbird, making a subtle escape. Ninéya watched him fly up for a mere second, shouted "coward!", and was soon confronted with Ane again. 100Please respect copyright.PENANAD1eUovNBTa
This time around, the princess was prepared. She raised her claymore quickly, and Ninéya quickly drew her own blade just as quick. They parried, and their blades clung against each other, the metal ringing through the forest. Now it was a mere matter of muscle as they both pushed forward.100Please respect copyright.PENANAd39ysM2gaJ
Elliot and Lemennie were wandering through the core. The core of the volcano, knew Elliot. He felt strange as he walked through the crowd that had amassed around the two devils. He somehow felt... safe. As if he belonged here all along. Lemennie felt rather insecure, though. Elliot took in the darkness and the stench. So this is what the core is like. Rivers of lava had made their way through the cracks of the dry grounds and no single plant would survive here for even one minute.100Please respect copyright.PENANA44R7FhMNdG
"Where is Garlath?" she asked as she reached the end of the crowd without seeing her father anywhere. Everyone just stared at the pair, curious and observing.100Please respect copyright.PENANAKnib2LhVBM
"Daughter of Albatrós."100Please respect copyright.PENANAnWbQnRvT0J
Both Elliot and Lemennie turned to the voice that had spoken to them and met an old, red demon with large horns on her head and feet like a goat's. 100Please respect copyright.PENANAbmJzzXhXwA
"Grandmother," Lemennie uttered, her voice surprisingly shaky. She flew around her grandmother's neck as she embraced her tightly.100Please respect copyright.PENANASOUeGo5vQy
"Who is this young one, Albatrós?" asked grandmother. Elliot wondered why she addressed her granddaughter by her surname, but he didn't dare mention it.100Please respect copyright.PENANA0EsVRzCNlA
"This is Ellorus Albatrós," Lemennie spoke.100Please respect copyright.PENANAOoClYlK5hn
The grandmother seemed to gasp internally as her eyes widened and watched Elliot. She knew, Elliot saw. She knew that he was Garlath's son. It was just a matter of time now.100Please respect copyright.PENANATbAzsUBaRd
"Garlath!" exclaimed the grandmother, and through the crowd walked a tall, unfamiliar creature. Elliot immediately knew as he noticed Lemennie's facial expression the moment her eyes met her father's.100Please respect copyright.PENANALYeof40yU6
"Father..." she uttered. Elliot wasn't sure whether her voiced hinted to guilt or sorrow, and perhaps it was a mix.100Please respect copyright.PENANASFvpuNZeAT
"Why are you here?" Garlath asked. His voice was bassy and low and above all filled with a deep darkness that seemed to show off something as fury.100Please respect copyright.PENANAVJYOmOVtAr
"We need your help," Elliot spoke, seeing that Lemennie had trouble getting out of her words.100Please respect copyright.PENANAcicWwMDHKb
"My help? And why should I help the both of you, pure ones?" Garlath snarled.100Please respect copyright.PENANA6lasWIMms5
"Because we are your children," Elliot answered. He watched Garlath's eyes that almost looked as if they softened. He turned to Lemennie and then turned to Elliot and watched him from head to toe. Elliot could tell that they both felt strange, but in a familiar way. Like they were reunited with their family that they knew that they had at the core of their minds and hearts. As if every puzzle piece finally clicked together and finally gave every answer that they had ever wanted. Garlath lay a hand on Elliot and Lemennie's shoulder, and he gave them a nod.100Please respect copyright.PENANAeW6Ie25mwC
"Why were you so dumb to fight me, little one?" hissed Ninéya, almost spitting it in Anevay's face.100Please respect copyright.PENANAJAW7ZJiElF
"I wish I did not need to," snarled Ane.100Please respect copyright.PENANAsnU0OMq20L
"Then why did you?"100Please respect copyright.PENANAuIWdMz1nUJ
"Evil has to be wiped out, Ninéya," muttered Ane through gritted teeth.100Please respect copyright.PENANA6CYuMyuSum
"How do you even have the audacity," exclaimed Ninéya harshly.100Please respect copyright.PENANAamQQy5PPgJ
"You are a murderer."100Please respect copyright.PENANAfijMldqT1B
"How could you know?"100Please respect copyright.PENANAtJodkgsUEL
"You know Lewir wanted to avenge his wife you have murdered for whatever reason and we know that you banished Jarco because Clyon wanted to kill you."100Please respect copyright.PENANAZaDhFUNWl1
"Oh, Lewir. He was a pathetic, weak man."100Please respect copyright.PENANA7saTD7QYQz
"He fought for what he believed in, until you put a curse on him that led him to believe he followed you instead because he had turned against you."100Please respect copyright.PENANAGo6pAclyN5
"You are smart," Ninéya grinned.100Please respect copyright.PENANAsnawtshczW
"When I came here, I thought we could trust you," Anevay spoke. "Soon it turned out that you were nothing but vile. Even your own people fear you."100Please respect copyright.PENANA13Xx43wsbL
"I bet you didn't ever know me until you met me," spat Ninéya.100Please respect copyright.PENANA3NC26hGZNB
"And now that I know you, I have to take you out."100Please respect copyright.PENANAZI4G9pE8MP
"You can't kill me, little one," snapped the hybrid.100Please respect copyright.PENANAVUAqHYtVWG
"No, I cannot," Anevay grinned. She grinned broadly, and that surprised Ninéya. Her focus visibly shifted to what happened behind Ninéya. The hybrid picked up on this, so she turned around as well. Ane pulled back her claymore and watched the three of them approach them. Everyone turned to them, watching in nothing but awe.100Please respect copyright.PENANA93PrA9nH4W
Elliot enjoyed the look on Ninéya's face as she noticed them. It was almost as if she was nailed to the floor and Elliot savoured the sweet grimace on her face. And then, Garlath and Elliot merged into one being that even overshadowed Ninéya. They had vicious horns, a beautifully smooth, crimson skin, sharp but healthy teeth, dark eyes that showed no real emotion, claws that resembled only the mightiest creatures' and a tail so grand that it almost looked like Remna's tail. They bathed in an aura of gold and death and they towered above Ninéya, watching the specks of fear appear in her eyes. 100Please respect copyright.PENANAA6IkKRGa1A
They picked her up, lifting her off the ground easily, a claw on each side of her screaming head. Her legs kicked around as you could hear the skull crack underneath her skin, and a bright light erupted from her face. The light and scream harmonised together, spreading a vidi radiance over the entire forest as she disappeared into nothing but ashes.100Please respect copyright.PENANAgwHRq899QN
Her demons turned to ashes and the lake was soon opened again. Sunlight poked through the purple hue of air before thick, warm blood came falling through the sky. 100Please respect copyright.PENANAUG78fVPq4v
"She was the real root of evil," whispered Ane as she felt the blood drip down her body, along with the blood that flowed out her wounds.100Please respect copyright.PENANAjLqfF11IJY
"She was a creation that should have never happened," the demonic being said. "She was even beyond our own evil." 100Please respect copyright.PENANAmsSGArziWU
"Will you... kill us?" Anevay asked, feeling small.100Please respect copyright.PENANA3BVYaZEnnE
"We will leave you alone for the rest of your lives," the creature replied, and Anevay recognised that it was Elliot who spoke. They turned to Lemennie, pulled her in for a hug, and Lemennie felt that it was her father's embrace. It then walked away, and the blood stopped pouring down on them. 100Please respect copyright.PENANADUc4JMLJfr
The emptiness grew in Ane's chest as she watched the demon walk away. Right before he disappeared into the woods, he turned around. She swore that she saw Elliot smile her way one more time, and they then walked away, never to return.
Four heroes. We started off with two. 100Please respect copyright.PENANA4dyHx4PH4S
None of us had expected even the slightest of what was to come. When I left Kinslot, I felt like I was believing behind all of the stress of courtly life, but the moment we got into our first encounter with Daphne, I realised I was wrong. I mean, I technically had left behind the worries of courtly life, but that instead made place for the adrenaline of possible death. I only realised that the adrenaline had been dominating when I got home. Worn out, grown up. A mess, needless to say. 100Please respect copyright.PENANAhaUyZO6Owe
We held proper funerals for our lost comrades. We held a funeral for Livi in the Southern Bay, a funeral for Marrie in Sharran's Valley, a funeral for Lewir in the Eastern Bay and a funeral for Vastice in Taverness. We also gave Remna an honourable funeral in Lily's York after we dug up her body. It was painful. Each one of them. I don't think that I have ever felt so close to the pain of Jarco, Hallan, Peita and Lemennie. They had lost their beloved ones, but so have I.100Please respect copyright.PENANAbOzRAvnQm2
Now we are fortune, brawn and heart. Wisdom is somewhere far away. He is there, somewhere. I know he is. Thinking about me, hopefully. Is that selfish? Probably, but it isn't impossible. I hope it goes well for him. I hope he will find happiness there like he once found happiness here. It is, after all, his home. 100Please respect copyright.PENANAzRVtgZ9GLK
And here is my home.100Please respect copyright.PENANAmwFNU1Hv6G
Anevay closed her book. She took a huge sip of chopped beer as she stared out the window, gazing over the countless hills of Hilltop. Bethil and Daphne also sat in Aris' house, visiting after a couple weeks of revitalisation. King Eucilde had gone back to ruling the Northern Bay. Ordo and Louis were drinking by the pond where Aris was getting some water and it suddenly felt nostalgic. 100Please respect copyright.PENANA4ZMsoWIC20
Jarco had helped rebuild Lily's York after the massacre and he decided to live there for a little while. He grew close to Bentham, who often helped him. The two became very good friends, and Jarco could forget about all of his worries for a solid while.100Please respect copyright.PENANAOada4ChoAm
Mounty, Mint, Tully and Pitér and Hallan had reunited with Aethul in the Western Bay and Willis and Aethul shared their reign over the Western Bay. They built the Bay up as a flourishing, wealthy state where horned and humans lived together in utter peace. Hallan had decided to become Aethul's Druidic professor instead of Willis as well. The rumour also went around that Mounty and Mint would soon get married, and everyone was invited.100Please respect copyright.PENANAtC6v72te1d
Peita, Lemennie and Sarkhan had returned to Taverness, where Iopeita and Sarkhan both ruled over their city and Lemennie retreated to innovation and widening her knowledge. Taverness had never witnessed such technological advances before and they called it an industrial revolution for the city.100Please respect copyright.PENANA7HgCcrEms7
And deep down, somewhere in the centre of the entire kingdom, sat Elliot with his father, enjoying the afternoon together. The moment that Elliot came to live with his father, it became clear to him that he belonged here all along. He missed the people that he loved, the people that he had fought with. He missed Anevay above all. Would she still think of him? Of course, Elliot thought to himself. Was that self-centered? Probably, but it wasn't impossible. He didn't worry anymore, though. He didn't feel as if he had no time anymore to figure himself out. He didn't worry about having to prove something to whoever asked for it. He didn't worry about not being able to perform magical spells. He didn't worry about whether Anevay was doing fine, because he was convinced she took good care of herself. He didn't worry about the races living together harmoniously, because he knew that all the pressure of showing off who was the best had disappeared. He didn't worry about his friends finding their place in the world, because after the quest they had all gone through there was no way not to know their place in this majestic world. It was all great, it was all perfect. And sure, his heart still somewhat ached for Anevay, but he knew that one day they would both move on. He didn't worry about that.100Please respect copyright.PENANAJWtEXQhIBI
The only thing he worried about, were the four poor bastards of the next era.100Please respect copyright.PENANAGO8ToLIdsV
