I heard kates’ voice and internally groaned. This woman enjoys pushing my buttons, I can feel how angry Rikko is at being disturbed while having time with his mate. I see that Raine has become ridged at the sound of Kate's voice, the shift in her posture told me she was on edge, uncomfortable and ready to use an escape she can find.

“I will sort it, Rikko, just you wait.” I say back. I wish I had a camera to record her expression. As I open the door I see Kate standing at the door trying her best to look seductive, she looks like a twat. Kate had still not responded by the time Lyam had said he was on his way.

“Wow, that woman has major issues.” Raine muttered, I couldn't help but laugh at her comment. I turn to Raine and look at her, basking in her beauty that was purely breath-taking. I caress her face with my hand, this makes her close her eyes and lean into my touch.
“Raine? Please stay with me tonight. My wolf and I need to be near you.” I say without thinking.

I look at Raine with hopeful eyes, her face is contoured with mixed emotions of fear and confusion. Then she smiles at me, without saying a word she leans up and kisses my cheek. I need more than that, I swoop her up and kiss her lips, sucking at points just so I can taste how sweet she is. I pull away after a while, not wanting to suffocate her. Her breathing is heavy, and her cheeks are red.
“Where are we staying?” She asks, my eyes widen at how brazen she was. The young wolf has been through hell and back and has accepted me with open arms, myself and Rikko thought we would have had to put up more of a fight to gain her trust.

“My room.” I say, suddenly there was another knock at the door, I internally and externally groaned, loudly so the person could hear how frustrated I am.
“Dude, open the damn door, I want to see Raine.” I heard Lyam shout from behind the door, I chuckle at his words but also feel slightly possessive over Raine. I open the door for Lyam, as I do he pushes past me and heads straight for Raine, She doesn’t look scared by him, or even remotely worried. What the fuck?

Lyam stopped and held his hands up in defeat, he looked back at me and smiled.
“Man she has some fight in her.” Lyam said with a smile, Raine looked at me questionly.
“Raine, this is my beta Lyam, Lyam this is my mate and your luna Raine Connors.” I say, I walk up to Raine and pull her into my side to comfort her. Lyam then bows to Raine.
“My luna, I am so glad to meet you while you are awake and healed.” Lyam says standing back up.

“Yes, but you were unconscious, I would keep watch outside your door whenever I could while Damon wouldn't leave your side. I didn’t want anyone coming and disturbing you while you were healing, I also had to keep an eye on the dickhead over there to make sure he wasn’t starving himself.” Lyam said.

Raine looks up at Lyam and then at me, she wipes away at her eyes and starts to stand up straight, I can see the sass queen coming back to her full strength.

“Come on Luna, I think it’s time you rest.” Lyam says, he turns to look at me and gives me a nod. Taking that as his cue he walks to the door.
“Damon, I will sort out any issues for the rest of the day, Spend time with Raine.” Lyam says as he leaves the room, closing the door behind him.

I turn to Raine and smile. “ Come little wolf, let's go and get some rest.” Raine yawns once more and nods her head, I walk towards her and pick her up bridal style.
“Damon, I can walk.” Raine says, trying to protest.
“I know but I like carrying you” I say.
I open the door to my bedroom, I can hear Raine gasp in my room. It’s not very femanine but it does have a modern style, black and gold is the theme. My king size bed sits in the middle of the room, the bed frame is metal with balck bars and golden globes on each four posts, The bedding is gold with black stars over it. A fluffy gold Rug sits under the bed covering space on each side so no one steps on the cold wooden floor beneath as they exit the bed. Both sides have a black bedside cabinet, three draws to hold whatever they wish. A black fireplace is sat opposite the bed giving off a warm glow at night, a golden chandelier hangs from the ceiling above.
Two french doors lead to a balcony overlooking the garden. On the other side of the room is a door which leads to the bathroom, fitted with a walk in shower, claw footed bathtub, toilet and sink. All black and gold of course.

Raine looks around the room in awe. “This room is beautiful.” Raine says. I chuckle at her, I carry on walking us to the bed, I place Raine down on top of the covers.
“Would you like to get changed, little wolf?” I ask, Raine looks up at me and nods her head. I go to my closet and grab her one of my t-shirts, I hand it to her and turn around so she can have some privacy while she changes.

“Thank you.” She says, a few moments later she clears her throat which I took as she was okay for me to turn back away. As I turned around I had to keep Rikko down, Raine looked so good in my shirt. I could tell she wasn't wearing any underwear, her small buds on her breasts were slightly raised so I could see their perfect outline. Raine looked down at her hands as I studied her body. I come out from my drool fest and clear my throat.

“Come little wolf, get under the covers'' I say lifting the duvet so she could climb under it. I walk to the wall and turn off the light, I ensure all my curtains are closed, I walk back to the bed. I start to take off my shirt, trousers and socks on my way. I leave my boxers on. I don’t want to make Raine uncomfortable. I raise the duvet so I can slide in next to Raine, she is already facing away from me.

“Little wolf, Can I cuddle you?” I ask, Raine just responds with a nod. I move in close behind her and spoon with her, I can hear her breathing slowly, sensing that she is already falling asleep.

“Good night Little Wolf.” I say and kiss her head. She just hums in response, I fall asleep within seconds, feeling content I have my mate in my arms.
