Damon POV

After getting dressed I raced up to Raine's room hoping she hadn't shifted back without me there. I feel guilty for leaving her.
"Gay" Sneered Rikko
"Shut up mutt" I retort
As I reach Raine's room I notice she is still in Miyana's wolf form, sleeping. I close all the blinds in her room and sit in the chair next to the bed, I rest my hand on her paw and let myself fall into a deep slumber next to her.
"She smells good, can we just stay like this?" Rikko asks
"I agree she does smell good, but she can't stay in Miyanas' form forever she will lose her humanity and we just got her wolf back I don't think she would survive another round of 'therapy'" I state
Rikko grunts a reply and lets me fall back asleep.

Raine POV
"Raine, we need to shift back, it's time to wake up," Miyana says
" I just got you back, I don't want you to leave me again. Can't we just stay like this forever?" I ask
"No Raine, I didn't mean to leave you, I just needed time to heal, we both need to heal. Damon will help us but we need to go back. I won't leave you again. Please." Miyana whines at me
“let’s go back," I say
With that said Miyana takes a deep breath and starts to shift us back to my human form. My bones cracking and popping back into place. It's still painful for me as I've only shifted fully a few times. Once all the cracking and popping has stopped I open my eyes, the room is dark and I can see Alpha Damon asleep in the chair next to my bed.
"He must be tired. He hasn't realized we have shifted back," Miyana says, a little shocked.
"Let’s get some clothes on before he wakes up," I say as I start to get off the bed
"Raine wait I don't..." Miyana tries to say but gets cut off by me faceplanting the floor, the sound of my naked body slapping against the marble floor was enough to wake everyone in the room. In an instant, Damon is at my side with the bed sheet trying to cover me and help me up
"Little one, you should have woken me I would have got you anything you needed. Here get back into bed and I will get you some fresh clean clothes for you, after your shower." Damon says as he picks me up bridal style.
"I will get a nurse to help shower you okay?" Damon asks his big brown eyes full of joy and worries at the same time.
"Oh okay thank you, Alpha" I stutter out
"Great Raine now you sound weird" Miyana says while internally rolling her eyes
"I just woke up, shut up" I spit back
Damon walks out of the room and shuts the door behind him softly. I sit on the bed in pure silence, that is until Miyana decides that she has something to say.
"Why didn't we just ask Damon to shower us? I'm sure his big, strong hands could help us out." Miyana says with a giggle.
" Oh, Miyana stop! you almost die and now all you can think about is Alpha Damon and his hands?" I say a little disgusted
"Have you forgotten he is our mate? Why do you think he hasn't left our side."
"No Miyana I know he is our mate but he still may reject us. after all, we are weak" I state
As I finish talking back to Miyana a young nurse walks into the room.
"Hello Miss Raine, I'm Cleo Alpha Damon sent for me to assist you with showering. I will go get you some items to wash with and a towel." Cleo says, She leaves the room and comes back within a couple of minutes carrying Shampoo, conditioner, face wash, body wash, a razor, and two big fluffy grey towels.
"I will put this in the bathroom Miss and come help you into the shower," Cleo says with a smile.
" No need Cleo," Alpha Damon says, making me jump a little. wait when did he get here?
"I will carry Raine into the shower, just make sure there is a seat in there of some sort so she can sit down," Damon says while looking at me with his heart-melting smile
"Of course Alpha" Cleo replies
"Alpha you don't need to worry yourself about me, please I don't wish to be a burden," I say nervously, my hands starting to become sweaty. He smells so good, like wood and cinnamon.
Damon steps towards me, he picks me up off the bed and sits me down on his lap at the same moment he sits on the bed. Gently tucking a loose strand of hair behind my ear, I look deep into his eyes and I can see the honey gold flakes swirling into his eyes, his wolf is trying to come out.
"Little wolf, You are nor will ever be a burden to me or this pack. I will do everything in my power to make you happy and comfortable. I know you're still scared of me but I promise I will never hurt you." He says bringing me closer into his chest, his scent rubbing off onto the sheets that are still covering my body.
"Now little wolf, let’s get you clean" He stands back up still carrying me bridal style to the bathroom. Cleo has already got the shower running with a chair sat in the shower base, water patting over the chair, steam filling the room.
"Miss, I hope the water is not too hot for you. I will remove the showerhead until you are sat down and you've tested the water." Cleo says bowing
Damon places me in the chair after Cleo has removed the shower. As Damon turns to leave I have a sudden urge to cry for him to stay with me.
"Raine, ask him to stay please!" Miyana yips in my head
"Damon! Please don't leave me" I shout, as the words leave my mouth I want the ground to swallow me whole. Why did I just do that?
