Damon Masters POV

"Alpha we've had word from the Moonlight pack, they believe that it is Alpha Wingers who has their daughter, Raine. It is believed that he was the one who took her from the forest when she was 9" My beta Lyam explained
"He's committed too many crimes, he has to pay. This girl is now 16, She must be returned home! We set off for his pick tonight. We attack first thing!" Upon hearing my beta tell me that this shit head has the Midnight packs daughter, it fills my body with pure rage. I want to rip him limb from limb. A poor child to be taken from her family is never something they should experience.
"Lyam, make sure we have medics with us ready to tend to Raine, she's been missing 7 years, Goddess knows how she's been treated"
"Yes alpha" Lyam responds and at an instant is preparing for our attack
2hours later
The journey to the Night Walker pack takes around 3 hours. Damon sits in silence the entire way while his beta Lyam drives.
"Alpha, may I ask you something?" Lyam asks shyly. I've never known the man to be shy. He's been my best friend since I was a kid.
"Yes Lyam, what is it?"
"Well, when do you think we will get a Luna?" Lyam asks like he's walking on a cracked glass ceiling
I run my hand over my face and sigh
"Honestly man I don't know, I hope it's soon, I need my mate just as much as the pack needs a Luna. My wolf is getting rather restless"
He's right to ask this question. I'm 18, a young Alpha yes but I'm very capable. I've been the alpha of Moonstone Pack since I was 15, my father died from wolfsbane poisoning from rogues, that's when I took over. I killed the rogue that killed my father so his death is avenged but I never found out why he attacked my dad. I guess that question will never be answered.
I'm ripped from my thoughts at the sound of Lyam's voice.
"Alpha we are almost there. What would you like us to do?"
"What time is it?" I ask
"It's 2am alpha"
"We will attack at 6 am, that will catch them off guard, no one attacks before breakfast, well no one but me of course" I say with a grin on my face.
"Lyam, tell the troops to rest. We hit at 6am sharp"
"Yes alpha" Liam responds, pulling over in the edge of the forest, this gives up the perfect cover while we can see the pack house that Alpha Wingers reside in.
I go back to my thoughts to kill time. I wonder what this Raine looks like, maybe she's happy here, or maybe she needs saving from this monster. What if she's my mate? Nah that's just too cliche.
"Alpha, it's time" Lyam announces snapping me from my thoughts
I mindlink the rest of the pack "it's time. Do not kill any women or children, only men who attack you! If they surrender, take them in! We do not kill for fun! Understood?"
"Yes Alpha!" The pack's words vibrate through the link.
"On my mark! Three, two, one. Attack!"
And with that the entire pack jumps from the vehicles and shifts into their wolves. I join them, attacking and killing whoever dares to try kill me. My only goal is to find Micheal Wingers and kill him! He's destroyed too many packs over the years as his time has come to an end.
I make it to the front of the pack house and kick down the door in one swift kick.
"Damn boss you been working out?" I hear Lyam sarcastically ask next to me. I didn't even know he was there. Lyam is no longer in wolf form and is stood there naked, as am I. Well this is awkward.
"Oh yeah boss, I got you some boxers and some shorts" Lyam says while smiling wildly at me.
"Cheers buddy, you always are the brains" I say ruffling his hair.
"Watch the hair man, there could be some cute chicks to save here! Gotta impress the ladies" Lyam states while wiggling his eyebrows with a cheeky grin on his face.
"Let's go Romeo!" I say rolling my eyes at him.
I check every room as I go, making sure that if there are women and children that they are safe. I open one door and I can hear a baby crying, I'm not a monster so I go to check on this baby, I can see the mother passed out on the floor. I mindlink Lyam to get a medic here as soon as possible.
I go to the baby to try soothe his cries. He takes one look at me and giggles, using his tiny chubby hands to wrap his fingers around my one index finger. he's laying in his cot so I know he's safe there for now. He has a mobile above him which plays music and projects lights, I turn that on and give him a blanket.
"There you go little man, all snug and safe" I say as I stand back up to check on his mother. She's breathing just unconscious, I sit her up against me and check her head for injuries. Just a small cut above her eye but that's all I can find. A minute later the medics arrive and I leave them to it. Before I leave I turn "make sure these get taken back to the pack house for food and shelter. They need to be kept safe" I say to the medics, before I can hear a reply from them I'm already at the next room checking.
The rest of the rooms have people in but they are young children and mothers who are able to walk to the escort cars at the rear of the house. I'm walking up to the second story and I get this sudden smell hit my nose, it smells sweet, innocent, mesmerising. I've never smelt anything like it before. I follow the scent to a room at the far end of the hallway, what I hear outside the room brings my blood to a boil. Before you can say "bobs your uncle" I've kicked the door off it's hinges, snapping the wooden door into two pieces.
There he is, hovering over this girl while she's bleeding, her screams have turned silent. I'm guessing she's passed out and by the look of the amount of blood there is it's not surprising.
My wolf takes over and I'm lunging at him, clawing at his body, taking bites whenever I can. The only thing I can focus on is killing this bastard. I punch him in the jaw and it knocks him onto the floor. We've been dancing around the bedroom while fighting. Somehow we've ended up by the bay windows, the couch and cushions have all been scattered in the fight.
He gets back up after the punch and comes running at me. I take a full kick at him, sending him flying through the air and out of the bay window, glass shattering all around him. I don't even bother to check if he's dead or alive. No one could survive that fall.
I rush over to the girl on the bed. I can smell that sweet scent even stronger, it's her, she's the owner of this wonderful scent. I look at her body. She's completely naked. Covered in scars, cuts and bruises, I remove some hair from her face and realise that this girl is who we've been looking for. Raine Connors. I can tell because she has this star birthmark on her neck, it's in the photo of her that got send to all neighbouring packs over the years.
I grab some fresh sheets out of the wardrobe and go to wrap her up. As soon as I touch her sparks fly through my body, leaving me wanting more! This girl is my destiny. She's my MATE. My Wolf is howling at me. He's so happy. He's finally got his mate. She will be ours to protect forever.
