Conner Smith lived a fairly normal life. He had a wonderful town, a loving family, and good friends. But that all changed when the Resistance attacked.

Conner walked through his house on the early morning of January 21, 2032. He flicked on the TV, and sat down. He was safe inside the walls of GraverTown....or so he thought.

A car stopped directly in front of the wall. On the hood of the car, the logo of the Resistance, a gun within the head of the Government. A man stepped out of the car. He was wearing a black suit with the exact same logo. Two men stepped out next. They were in battle armor. Guns in hand. Then, before the man in the wall could grant access, a shot rang out. The man flew out of the tower and landed on the ground. One of the body guards threw the body into the woods.

A body guard climbed up the side of the wall using the bricks, and hopped into the tower. He smashed a button, and the large metal door that protected the inhabitants from the Resistance, opened letting the men drive directly into the heart of the town no one knew about.

The first gunshot was enough to wake up the entire town. Conner looked out the window and saw the man in the suit.

"Phillip Grant," he said in disgust. Grant was the leader of the Resistance and was the most ruthless man ever.

Grant pointed the houses, and the hundreds of men loaded in vans, attacked. Within the next hour gunshots were happening more often, but this time from both sides. Conner watched from his house. Fire spread and body's of Graver residents were piled in the middle.

Then his house was next. Men piled in, shooting his parents, and attacking Conner himself. They shot him in the leg, and tortured him with their knifes. Just as the men were going to kill Conner, a fight--larger than the rest--ensued outside.

"Leave the twerp here. Let's help." The men left Conner, opened the door, and tore out the doorknob, and helped their fellow resistance fools. Conner stood up, but instantly collapsed. He regained his strength, stood up, and looked for a way out. He walked over to the door and tried to kick it down, but it wouldn't budge.

He turned around, walked back to his original spot, and sat down. It's over. They'll kill me for sure. And it was almost a relief, to have finally given up hope.
