"Here you go sir," Y/n sets the glass full of ale on the wooden table as she moves on to the next male doing the same. It has been like this for a while now, ever since Y/n had met that mage. She had thought to take up traveling until she is needed once again. And on one fateful day, Merlin happened to be in the same town as her.
So they had struck a deal.
Do a job for her and she would pay Y/n back in Minimum Tablets, which allow her to shrink. It was a huge jar full of them since they weren't sure if they would cross paths again. It's important for Y/n to not use them recklessly, but that detail had gotten lost after she had met Meliodas.
She had offered him a deal.
While she helps out with the tavern he will have to provide her a place to stay upstairs and allow them to travel along with them. Maybe he had agreed out of pity, or because their situations were similar.
Both of them waiting on someone.
Both wish that the war had ended differently.
Or it could be the simple fact that he had missed one of his oldest friends. But no matter the reason, he had agreed to the terms. This explains why the peculiar-looking woman is here now waiting tables.
"It might be a full house today," she thinks to herself taking down another table's orders. She overhears a group of humans talking about the rumor about a rust knight.
Some believe it and some don't, but Y/n is one of those who are skeptical. She will believe it when she gets some proof.
Strutting back to the bar in her forest green dress, it is only when she turns her back that she hears the door to the bar open. "I'll be right with you," she yells over her shoulder filling her auburn tray with mugs.
"The rust knight!" Someone yells out causing everyone to flee the tiny tavern. Y/n lets out an irritated sigh, before turning around to let out a high-pitched yelp.
"Jeez," she mutters under her breath.
"Sir?" Y/n waves her hand in front of the unresponsive knight's face, "Meliodas come check this out!"
Meliodas quickly walks out from behind the bar, "Yeah? What's up... oh."
As if on queue, the armored figure face plants at their heels causing the helmet to roll off onto the tavern floor.
"It's just a little girl," Y/n inspects the white-haired woman.
Meliodas comes to play detective as well and runs his hands along the woman's chest, or as he puts it checking if they're a woman or not. Y/n rolls her eyes and lands a harsh smack on the back of his head causing the short man to fall forward. "Ow, what was that for?" Meliodas fake pouts.
"Be glad I didn't kick your ass," Y/n bucks at the blonde male.
Eventually, they plan to keep her upstairs in one of the spare beds until she wakes up. So Y/n scoops her figure out of the rusting metal and carries her unconscious figure off the floor.

It isn't long before the mysterious woman wakes up.
She stirs awake and looks straight in Meliodas's direction, "What am I doing here sir?"
"You passed out inside of my Tavern," Meliodas states pointing out the fact.
Y/n clears her throat before speaking up, "I assume you're hungry, yes? Ah, what do I call you?"
The girl blushes brightly from being called out and timidly shakes her head, "Yes food would be nice, and my name is Elizabeth."
"Well, Elizabeth, nice to meet you," Y/n quickly bows out of respect before continuing, "By the way, you might want me to cook 'cause his cooking is disgusting." Elizabeth lets out an innocent giggle, while Meliodas feigns hurt.
"How dare you," Meliodas puts his hand to his chest in fake disbelief.
Y/n rolls her eyes before beckoning the pair to follow her downstairs.168Please respect copyright.PENANAvSm1bDfClX
