"Gilthunder, you're Gilthunder, right?" Elizabeth squints at the man.
"You know him?" Meliodas asks confusedly.
"Yes. He's a Holy Knight very close to my father, the king. He's the son of the Great Holy Knight Zaratras, so he would visit the royal palace often. I've known him since I was young."
"The Great Holy Knight's son? You're Li'l Gil?"
"You know him?"
"He'd tag along to my training sessions in the palace! You've gotten big! Then again, it has been ten years."
"If you've got time to be joking around, then you've got an escape plan, haven't you," Gilthunder hisses. Y/n huffs and stops listening, directing her attention to her niece to tell her to sit still.
"Sealing the underground river at Bernia and attempting to destroy the village, that was you," Meliodas accuses Gilthunder.
"No, Lord Meliodas, there's no way," Elizabeth defends him.
"Well look what he's doing now," Y/n whispers to herself rolling her eyes.
"Do you know why the Holy Knights are after the Sins' heads?" Gilthunder inquires.
"Beats me," Meliodas replies.
"One half says it's to kill the traitorous knights who attempted to overthrow the kingdom," he pauses looking Meliodas directly in the eyes, "The other half says it's to prove our might by defeating the legendary Seven."
Y/n scoffs, "Which side are you on?"
Gilthunder, who is just now acknowledging the woman, realizes he doesn't know who she is, "And who are you, obviously not a sin."
Y/n stands straight, her long h/c flowing down her back as she steps toward the man in her diamond boots, "I'm none of your business. I asked a question first."
Gilthunder gazes at her unimpressed, "I don't care for your childish antics. Who are you?"
"You haven't answered my question, who's side?"
"And what do you say?" Meliodas questions him further.
"Both, no, more than that," he declares.
"More?" Meliodas looks confused.
"Revenge for the murder of my father, the Great Holy Knight Zaratras. He was hailed as the strongest of the Holy Knights. So killing you all will be proof, that I have surpassed my father."
"So, in other words, you're saying I'm your father's enemy," Meliodas concludes.
"Is that incorrect?"
"Who knows, I don't have much of a recollection of what happened back then," he ponders back on the event, "We all dispersed and I woke up in a ditch and that's when I met Hawk, that's all I can remember."
"That means the person who killed the Great Holy Knight isn't Meliodas," Elizabeth chimes.
"Who cares what he says," Gilthunder responds.
"Gilthunder!"
"The traitorous knights who attempted to overthrow the kingdom, I've just found them."
"Gilthunder, you're wrong! They weren't the ones who killed the Great Holy Knight!"
"Elizabeth, the Kingdom's top priority is to ensure your safety. But that's got nothing to do with me, the matter of your life or death is a mere grain of sand in the path toward the Holy Knights' rule, get out of here," he turns to Meliodas, "I only have business with the Sins."
"I won't let you lay a hand on them!"
Meliodas quickly steps up to him, "You've never beaten me before, you know."
"The past is merely the past, I'm stronger than any of the Sins now."
"That might be true, but you don't know for sure."
"Well, then. I'll release you and we can find out."
"Nah, no need for that, I could've escaped whenever I felt like it," as he utters those words, Meliodas quickly breaks Gilthunders restraints. Y/n and Diane quickly follow his movements breaking the restraints. Y/n helps to release Elizabeth and Hawk.
Gilthunder turns his focus back to Meliodas rolling his eyes, "If I felt like it, I could cut you down along with this entire forest."
"That's impossible."
"In that case, I'll just kill you."
"Right back at you." Meliodas turns his head toward Y/n and Diane, "Stay put I got this."
Y/n nods and Diane replies with, "Okay, Captain."
Gilthunder tilts his head tauntingly, "Too embarrassed to lose a fight with a three-on-one advantage?"
Y/n growls, "No, he's going to beat your ass with or without our help."
Gilthunder gives her a look, which she returns with a glare.
She hates cocky people.
With that last comment, the fight commences.
"You don't get it, do you? I'm trying to be polite!" Meliodas yells to Gilthunder, "I told you, didn't I?"
"Right back at you."
"I told you, didn't I?"
"Looks like you've gotten a lot better in the past ten years."
"Looks like you think you're still better than me, I can tell. You won't be able to handle this for much longer."
"Too slow!"
"So persistent," but with that comment Meliodas slips up letting Gilthunder get a hit in, sliding to the floor.
"I never imagined you'd become this strong," Meliodas mumbles through his slow breaths on the forest floor as he looks at the ground in shock.
"Don't fret, the remaining six will be joining you soon," Gilthunder replies with a semblance of urgency, hovering over the blonde with his looming presence.
"Captain!" Diane and Elizabeth call out to Meliodas.
"Dragon's Sin of Wrath, Meliodas of the Seven Deadly Sins, do you have any last words?"
"What happened to the others? That's all I want to know."
"Very well. I'll tell you. Of the remaining five, the whereabouts of three are unknown. Whereas we know the location of the other two."
He starts to list the locations, "The Fox's Sin of Greed is imprisoned at the Baste Dungeon. The Grizzly's Sin of Sloth has passed. He perished in the City of the Dead. Do not worry. I will see to them personally."
"Foolish!" Y/n laughs as he plays right into Meliodas' hands.
At that moment, Meliodas suddenly jumps up, and Gilthunder swiftly points his sword toward Meliodas' injured shoulder. "I see, thanks Li'l Gil."
