After we got home, I showed Ashlie around the house, while Mitchell started the laundry.
"If you need anything more before bed, Ashlie," I said, "Mommy will be in this room." I pointed to the master bedroom. Ashlie smiled.
"I think I'm good, Mommy," Ashlie said, "Good night!"
"Good night, sweetheart!" I said. Ashlie went to her bedroom, where we put most of her stuff.
I went into the master bedroom and opened my laptop to write for a little while. I was thinking about writing about my original world. Maybe a story about a nonbinary person. I got to work writing and was able to write 20k words. I called it 'Seeing in Different Colors'.104Please respect copyright.PENANABezIqUFIbN
"Cherry, I think we should give Ashlie the last gift tonight," Mitchell said from behind me. I turned around and saw that he was holding a present that was put in a box and tied with a bow.
"Okay, Mitch," I said, "Let me save my story and I'll join you." I quickly saved my story and went with Mitchell to Ashlie, who was in her room playing with her new dolls. "Ashlie darling, look what Papa brought you." Ashlie's eyes lit up as she saw the box.104Please respect copyright.PENANA05pt47MWXh
"What is it?" Ashlie asked.
"You have to open it to find out," I said. Ashlie tore into the box and saw it.
"What is it?" Ashlie asked as she held it up. It was a indoor tent in her favorite colors: Black, pink, and purple.
"It's a tent for inside," I said, "Just wait a bit and Papa will set it up for you."
"Okay?" Ashlie said as she handed it to Mitchell. Mitchell quickly put up the tent in the corner near the window.
"It has many uses," Mitchell said, "But I got it for you to have a place to have sleepovers with friends and for a reading nook. See, I even bought pillows for it." Ashlie seemed a little rattled, as if it was too much at once.104Please respect copyright.PENANA1eVr1oi0Lt
"Papa, thank you," Ashlie said, "But I think I need to go to bed. Good night."
"Good night," Mitchell said as he left the room. I kissed Ashlie's forehead.
"Good night, sweetheart," I said, "I love you. I hope you have sweet dreams." Ashlie nodded and I left. I went up to Mitchell and tapped him on the shoulder.
"What is it, babe?" Mitchell asked.
"I'm thinking that we did too much at once," I said, "I mean, you are know for love bombing." Mitchell chuckled.
"You are also known for being clingy," Mitchell said as he wrapped his arm around my waist.
"I know what you're thinking, but no," I said, "At least not tonight."
"Okay," Mitchell said, "I'm going to take a shower and then head to bed."
"I'll take one after you," I said.
