There was something ominous about the mage's tower. It had been deserted for decades but 5 years after the assassination of the Queen and the King's royal mistress, the tower was closed off and guarded 24/7. The people entertained themselves with rumors and stories about what could possibly be behind those walls. I had no intention of committing treason to discover who or what was being contained within, but I found myself in the dungeon burned, bleeding, and barely holding on to life. I'm not sure if I'll live to see the next sunrise, but if I do, I vow that I will uncover the secrets that this kingdom so desperately tried to hide; after all, I have nothing left to lose.
