Chapter 8
No flashes. Blank mind.
The next morning, we all headed to the dining hall. A few moments later, the boys started walking in.
“Oh good, you're here!” Kenji cheered. “How'd it go?”
“It was great. We just did some makeup and talked," I answered. “What about you?”
“It was okay,” he said. “It was pretty loud though.”
"Well yeah," Mizu started. “You and Hideki were wrestling.”
“Relax, it was for giggles.”
“It was fun!” Hideki exclaimed.
“Disturbing.” Tsuyoshi muttered.
"Well, it's good that you had fun." Hisoka said.
Everyone was talking over each other. I still needed to let Kage know about the flashes. Should I even call them flashes? Before I could do anything, Mizu whispered my name. I turned. He motioned me to follow him. He led me to the shelter. Most of the flowers were at the blooming point. They were huge and there were so many colors. Blue, red, pink, violet, yellow, everything.
“I still need to do some things.” He said, before watering the soil.
“What more?” I asked.
“There's still more seeds to plant on the other side.” He replied.
I grabbed some seeds and we buried them together.
“Did you have fun?” I asked him.
“Well uh-I guess the last bit of it.” He answered.
“Must've been really loud, huh?”
“It was crazy. I didn't want anyone to get hurt.”
I laughed.
“What?”
“Sorry. I was imagining how it would go.”
“True chaos.”
“Guys you're gonna get hurt!”
CRASH BAM CRUNCH
Hideki and Kenji were wrestling and crashed into a lot of things.
“Kenji, you're going to-”
Too late. Kenji knocked over a cup of water on his black strange rock which was on the floor.
"Ahhhh!!"
“Waste of time.” Tsuyoshi muttered, turning away.
A huge explosion occurred in Kazuya’s dorm.

“Anyway,” Mizu started. “Kazuya's dorm smells.”
“Why?” I asked.
“He brought some explosive rock for some reason.”
My eyes went wide. “Oh, okay.”

At last, Mizu sighed. "Looks like we're done."
“The sky's dark already.” I said.
“I'll give these a few touch ups," He said. “You can go.”
"Are you sure?” I asked. “Is it safe?”
He nodded. “Yeah. I locked both doors. Front and back. And there's three security cameras here that make a sound if someone tries coming in. Hideki made them during the sleepover last night.”
My feet stay glued to the floor. I can’t make the same mistake again. I gave a nervous laugh. “You know what? What’s wrong with staying here for a little while longer?” He smiled and ducked his head under the table. I was sure he was grabbing more seeds or something. Just then, I heard a crash. Breaking glass. It was from outside the shelter. I spun. One of the windows was broken from the hotel. Blood drained down my face. Oh no, somebody could get murdered!
“Mizu!” I cried.
“Did something happen?” He asked, sounding just as panicked.
“Stay here,” I told him. “I’ll make sure no one’s hurt. Or go to the nearest room. I feel like something bad is going to happen.”
“Yeah, okay.” He said before I dashed out of the shelter. I quickly watched Mizu lock the door and then continued running.

It turned out to be from Kazuya’s dorm. I opened the door and he was just standing there, looking like he was in thought.
“Kazuya!” I yelled, and he turned around. I heard a few others come in the room as well.
“We heard a window break,” Hisoka said. “What on earth happened?”
“Don’t scare us like that you idiot.” Akemi said, crossing her arms, making a pouting face.
“Did you get hurt?” Yua asked.
“I’m fine,” Kazuya answered. “I walked in here confused too. I was like, why is my window broken?”
“You didn’t break it?” I asked.
He chuckled. “Were you guys thinking that? No. I don’t know who did it.”
The door behind us opened. It was Ayako. “I heard a window broke?”
Akemi pointed at it.
“What do we do?” Hisoka asked.
“We should go to sleep for now.” I said.
Daisuke rushed in and wrapped his arms around Kazuya. “Oh my god, I thought you were dead!”
“No, no, I’m good,” Kazuya replied, gently patting his head.
Daisuke let go. “I have a feeling someone is going after you. I won’t let you be alone. You can sleep in my room. Yours is kind of a mess now.”
Before Kazuya could say anything, Daisuke held his hand and walked him out of the room.
The rest of us stood there confused.
“Okay, let’s just sleep.” Akemi said, before turning to leave.
Hisoka and Ayako left without saying anything. I decided to check the shelter. I knew I couldn’t go in , so I gave it a quick glance. More plants were standing by the windows. Looks like Mizu left. Then I turned back to the hotel back to my dorm.
