Chapter 31
The breakfast meeting. We were talking about the gym event.
“Badminton wasn’t so bad,” Satoshi said. “I was better than Hanako.”
“I-I’m just not good at sports.” She said sheepishly.
“I totally crushed Etsuko, haha!” Yuki laughed.
“Sh-Shut up.” She muttered.
Genki laughed. “Well, I'm glad everyone enjoyed it.”
“Yeah, that was a good event to ease everyone’s stress,” Akira began. “But now we need to think of something that can bring us together again.”
“I agree,” Satoshi said. “But what?”
“H-How about another party?” Hanako suggested.
Amaya started tearing up and she turned away, and Hanako panicked. “I-It was just an idea, you know b-because last time everyone was so e-excited, b-but we don’t have to if it makes you u-uncomfortable!”
“No, we should do that.” I told her.
“Misaki?” Amaya asked.
“Chiharu would’ve liked that.” I said with a smile.
“You’re definitely right about that.” Akira agreed.
“Then it’s settled.”
Amaya let out a sad laugh. “I can do better cooking than he ever could. You’ll see.”
“Meanwhile, Etsuko and Satoshi will come shopping with me for decorations,” I said. “I’ll try my best at decorating.”
“Ask me if you need any help.” Genki said.

Etsuko, Satoshi and I went shopping. Of course, it was quicker than last time. I bought streamers and the other two bought balloons.
When we headed to the main hall, we set the streamers to the ceilings and the balloons in the top corners. It wasn’t our best but it was worth a try.
Amaya was already cooking. Satoshi was standing by to check things out. And I, well I didn’t do much after. It was already night before I knew it, so I headed to bed early. And for once in a lifetime, I felt slightly comfortable.
