I decided to challenge you all to write a story based off the first song that popped up on my phone's playlist when it was placed on shuffle. The genre of your story is writer's choice with a word count limit of 6000 words.
You're allowed to submit two entries and have four weeks to submit a story
Song Link is provided below:
STEPHEN - Crossfire
Are you up for the challenge?
I found this lovely lil prompt on Pintrest and couldn't resist.
Since you've been going out for quite some time, your lover arranges for you to meet his/her parents. When you get to their house and enter the front door, you hear him/her say, "I'm sorry." as the door closes behind you.
There isnt a genre specification or the rating so have at it! The only requirement is that you don't exceed 6000 words
Horror stories don't have to be novel length to be scary. Sometimes the scariest are the ones that don't need many words at all.
Write out your best horror stories using a minimum of two sentences but no more than five.
The rating does not matter.
Good Luck everyone!
Write a story using Dialogues Only.
You can go as far as issuing G-13 content.
Choose a character that died in one of your stories or a character that you have not written of yet but want to test out.
Your character will wake up in an unknown dark warehouse with only the bare essentials. All of the contestant's characters will be separated into different warehouses in this old abandoned town. It's up to you to guide them into meeting up with the other contestants to figure out where they are and how to leave. If your character has powers then those powers have to be taken back throughout the story.
The direction of the story, twists, and turns, all depend on your creativity and teamwork with the other participating writers. I hope this will give birth to new friendships and renewed creativity.
Also, the first one to post on here will be the Main Character of this 12-week long saga, write with that in mind.
Write a short story based on this image, when the challenge ends I will choose three people for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. Make sure to write from your heart and soul and add any emotions you are currently feeling into the story. I’d like to see if anyone can beat me in the fantasy category! Good luck and have fun!
this image is called “temple of thoughts” I did not name this image, this it’s original name. I also do not own this image all rights And credits go to Silviya radeva.
I think I'm going to start doing these. I will show a picture that I have and the task is to write a story around it. I saw this on the side of a trail in the city while riding my bike.
The genre can be whatever you want. Mystery, thriller, horror, fantasy, supernatural, etc. based on the image. Give it back story, perhaps. Be creative and have fun!
There is no required length. Just write your story with however many words you feel comfortable.
Your character is at a funeral. This contest does not have any requirements or much of anything really, just the idea of someone at a funeral. It could be there's, could be a friends of theirs, a complete stranger, a pets or anyones. Your story could be friends heartwarming speeches, a huge hilarious disaster, a haunting horror story or anything you can possibly think of. Be creative.
You're looking through your cell phone contacts one day when you discover a phone number you don't recognize under a name you can't read. Initially writing it off as a glitch, you delete it... but in the morning, the number is back in your contacts.
Do you dare call it?
Does anyone answer?
Or is this just another issue with the new OS?
Tell us what happens in 100 - 5000 words!
The eye-opening world of fantasy brought to life through delicate wordings and creations.
A land of imagination and creativity that requires very special attention and subtle details for worldbuilding.
Present your skills of worldbuilding and heart-warming, realoty-escaping descriptions.
Okay people. Here's another one. I love making these.
You sold your soul to the devil some years ago. Today, he comes and gives it back, saying, "I need a favour."
Ta-Da!!! That is It. You've got all the imagination for yourself. Play with words and plots. Twist your story. Do absolutely whatever you want.
Things you need to keep in mind:
1. Make it interesting and make sure the reader does not sleep half-way.
2. Word Limit - up to five thousand words.
3. If it is a love story, do NOT generate offsprings of the protagonist and your devil. It takes away the fun and makes the story a little obvious. (Unless you have something totally different up your sleeve!)
4. Enjoy writing. It is what is most important.
Hello everyone! I'm back with a new blood-curling contest for y'all!
So this is it, huh?
You're a serial killer. To get away with it, you kill only once a year. On Halloween. When people run around covered in fake blood.
Yep! That. Is. It. Go ahead and churn up some good, bedtime story with it. (Kidding!) It should make my toes curl and haunt me for a day or two.
A few things to note:
1. Word limit : not more than 4000 words. Thanks.
2. Feel free to go weird 'cause I ain't your mama!
3. Please do not involve another killer. You go solo.
4. Love you guys so much. (NO not to be included in the story.)
