55 years ago, an ancient being known as Vixx and his army invaded Earth by surprise and caused chaos and destruction that lasted for four mouths until another ancient being known as Mother Nature formed a team that would access the powers of the elements and use them to take down Vixx and his army. They were successful in locking him and his army in the void, but lost their powers as a result.

Today, the wife of Vixx has found her way into our world and seeks to bring her husband and his army back by any means necessary with the help of his generals. Mother Nature must call upon a new team of heroes to possess the powers of the elements once more and become Power Rangers to stop her and others who threaten Earth. Hi. I'm actually going to write this one as the author.

This is a book about an espionage physician in a world after sci-fi magic who uses super-suits I borrowed from the Crysis games. It is written as a memoir of raising an adopted child as a handler of a future asset while being a top-flight secret agent. As a book, I would describe this as Dickensian, Machiavellian, and brutally critical while being kind. I think of it as cute and funny. I’ve been in therapy for a while, but I try to keep it loving.

Some members of the team are divided about her position on it, once she's taken under their wing for protection, but they'll all soon learn that their hand will be forced in the decision making process, because something bigger and stronger is threatening the fate of the world, and they need all the help they can get.​​​​​​​ Andi will soon find herself needing to decide whether she would rather live a life away from all she has been plagued with since birth, or whether she would rather use everything she was given to try and make the world a better place.

I came up with the idea for this story when Superman Returns (2006) hit theatres. This film was so bad that I had to create my own story. I was (am) an avid fan of DC comics, the Superman franchise and the CW hit television show Smallville (staring Tom Welling).

My book, Element of Surprise, does take ideas from all of the above and wraps them all neatly in my own original plot.

What makes my story different and original is a brand new spin on things. For the first time, fans get to enter this world through the eyes and mind of Lex Luthor as he tells the story. The entire story is taken from his POV.
