When Hayley went home, the house has now gotten quiet and Yuri felt bored not having someone tease her. Raeven noticed Yuri, and she thought the girl missed Hayley and she rolled her eyes.
"What's gotten into you?'' Raeven asked. They were back in the kitchen preparing a meal for the remaining people left there, one less mouth to feed.
Yuri sighed helplessly. "I just felt that without Hayley it doesn't feel right like something is missing." She said, then pouted.
Angel smiled at her. Raeven rolled her eyes again. "You mean you missed her teasing you? Wow, I didn't know you were such a masochist."
"You're right, that's why, she perfectly matches big bro Bryan," Kaiser said.
Yuri stopped chopping some vegetables and looked at Kaiser. "And what are you doing here butting in?
"What do you mean by perfect match?" Angel also asked.
"You said she's a masochist? Then big bro Bryan is a sadist!" Kaiser said as a matter of fact.
"I AM NOT A MASOCHIST!" Yuri screamed.
The meal was prepared eventually after Angel's careful instruction. Tonight they had some soup perfect for a cold night. For the main course, they had beef steak made by Angel and some mashed potatoes, and cold green peas. For dessert, Raeven made some tiramisu. The dinner was not that chaotic now that Hayley left. By the end of dinner, Kiel volunteered to wash the dishes.
"Are you sure? Do you want me to help, big bro?" Yuri asked, being kind and thoughtful of her cousin.
Raeven rolled her eyes yet again. The reason this guy volunteered to wash the dishes was that he wanted to be alone with Angel, Yuri, was totally oblivious! "Let them mind the kitchen for once, Yuri. Why don't you just accompany your fiance for a walk?"
"Rae Rae, he's not my fiance, okay," Yuri said while she rolls her eyes.
"Why don't you guys go for a walk while we tidy up the kitchen? We will follow once we're done," Angel said. She's the person who cannot sleep while thinking about the messy kitchen.
"Come on, Yuri," Bryan said. And Yuri automatically moves her body to whatever Bryan says. Raeven and Angel looked at each other and then giggled.
Kaiser was happy to go outside with Raeven. He even makes it a point to walk slowly, following her pace, side by side with her. For Kaiser, it's not every day that he can express his liking to a girl. Once, he had a crush on his brother's classmate, but that was all a different story. He was not sure if he likes Raeven like the way he was infatuated with his first love… anyway, Raeven ticked all the boxes for his ideal girl.
And so, we came to the question; what is Kaisers's ideal girl could be? Let's see…
Tall with long black and silky hair, snow-white skin, red lips, and cat-like shaped eyes, and the most important thing of it all is she has a nice figure. It would even be better if she looked like the gaming babe he used to see in his video games.
Lately, the latest addition to his criteria was, she must be a tsundere goddess…. Yup, just like our ice beauty here…
And so, Kaiser's pursuit of his true love thus begins…
Chasing for one's true love would be anyone's freedom, but the question here is, would Raeven let this thirteen-year-old boy pursue her?
While he's on it, let's go back to the other infatuated young man in the kitchen…
"It's nice to have someone to help in the kitchen, though I didn't expect you to stay behind and help me," Angel said while she was busy wiping the table clean.
"What do you mean? It's okay to help in the kitchen since you girls cooked for dinner. It's just common courtesy."
"Yeah," Angel said smilingly. Though she was not used to seeing a tall and handsome guy doing the dishes, take, for example, her older brother Adam, who never goes inside the kitchen to cook let alone wash the vegetables. "To tell you the truth, this is the first time I saw a man helping in the kitchen."
Kiel stopped and looked at her. "Really? Then it must be a noble experience for you."
Angel laughed. "My brother hates going inside the kitchen. He said he hates the smoke and it makes his clothes smell like food."
Kiel laughed. "You have women to help in the kitchen? Is your chef a woman as well?"
Angel nodded. "Well, when you said that, I realized that maybe I'm just used to it all. All the maids and helpers in the kitchen were all women." Angel said. "You surprised me. How come you know how to help in the kitchen?"
Kiel was almost done washing the dishes. "Oh, that, our family likes to go on road trips. We have a mobile house my mom used to assign each of us a chore..."
Angel can't help but look at how dexterous his hands were. It moves without hesitation like he has been washing dishes for a long time.
Kiel noticed the way Angel looked at what he was doing and can't help but blush. Is it considered an extra point to make her notice him?
"I think we're done." She said. She was pulled out of her reverie when she realized they were now staring at each other for what seemed like a couple of minutes now.
"I think we should go outside and join them," Kiel said. He was smiling.
Angel noticed Yuri has similarities with her cousins. It was their adorable smile. She thinks it runs in the family, though she hasn't seen Kaiser smile like how Yuri and Kiel smile.
She really liked this boyish smile, though…
Before they got outside the house and they just opened the door, the first thing they heard was Yuri's scream.
"BRYAN, YOU MEANIE!!!!!"
Angel and Kiel looked at each other. Kiel just laughed. He was sure got used to it all. When they went outside the house, they saw Bryan running while laughing and Yuri chasing after him. Raeven and Kaiser just looked at them, fooling around.
"What's with them?" Kiel asked Kaiser when they got near them.
Kaiser snorted, "same old, that pig is such a scaredy-cat, and Bryan loves teasing her, you know."
Kiel laughed. Angel looked at them and then smiled. She looked at Bryan. This guy looks serious and scary but with Yuri around his aura has mellowed. Hayley was right, this guy likes Yuri... This guy…
Yuri grabbed Bryan by his jacket and pulled him near, then grabbed his fluffy hair and tugged on it playfully. He might be a bully, but she still treats him as a friend.
The poor guy….
Raeven was looking up at the black sky, lost in her world. Kaiser was staring at her in a daze, like an infatuated fool. It's now official, it is love at first sight indeed. He can't take his eyes off her...
Kaiser does not believe in love at first sight. He may be attracted to beautiful girls physically but this comes and go and does not stay that long. Give it two or three weeks and he will look out for another flame… But with Raeven, it's different, he can't explain it… His heartbeat raises, and he feels so attracted physically, it's the attraction where he can't stop gazing at and appreciating every inch of her face, her body, and her smell… He particularly liked her Lavender scent...
He was enjoying the view when he senses that someone was also watching him. When he turned his, head he saw two people looking at him, his older brother looking at him funny, teasing him. The other one is Angel, curious about him ogling her friend.
"Enjoying the view, Kai?" Kiel asked while trying not to laugh.
Kaiser feels embarrassed about being caught ogling at a girl. He punched his brother in his arms, and Kiel even howled in pain. He is laughing at him. Then Kaiser looked at Raeven again. At that moment, Raeven was now looking at the two brothers having fun. It felt like she missed something there.
Angel got to her side and filled her in. She just raised one eyebrow, then shrugged. She was used to that kind of admiration. What's more, she doesn't want to entertain a boy two years younger than her.
"Hey Rae, Gel, what are your plans for Christmas break? I am thinking of going out of the country. Do you want to join me?" Yuri asked. Her voice is full of excitement.
Raeven stopped for a second, frowned, then smiled. "Where are you going this time?"
"Korea!" Yuri announced, full of energy.
Kaiser snorted. "Korea again?! You've been there almost every year."
Yuri pouted. "I've never been there last year."
"Who cares?" Kaiser said, feeling bored.
"Angel..." Yuri said. She looked at her friend with those cute puppy eyes.
Angel does not know what to say… The Christmas holiday is one of the busiest weeks for her. Family dinner, church activities, Christmas dinner with relatives and friends… the list goes on… She's in a dilemma right now.
Yuri could read her friend's hesitation. "Why are you busy during the Christmas holiday?"
Angel reluctantly nodded her head. She does not want to disappoint her, but then she can't just get out of her responsibilities…
"Rae?" Yuri then looked at Raeven.
"I'll think about it. I need to check with my grandmother first..." Raeven said.
Yuri was sad. But then she still has other friends… she will call them then.
"Come on, we still have a day before we go back. We can go to the amusement park tonight..."
Yuri perked up. If she had bunny ears, then it will be obvious how she can shift from a depressed mood to this…
Bryan chuckles. "Let's go."
There was an amusement park not that far from the house. Just a 30-minute drive. There were different rides, not that scary, not that big. Despite that, there were children and some couples who just want to spend their time together…
Yuri feels like a kid again, but then again, she's a little kid always. She can't decide which ride to go first, it has been a long while since she goes to a place like this one, most of her friends do not enjoy going to this kind of childish place, so, she hides this side of her from them. All her life, she looks cute, adorable, and posh, only her cousins know her true self. She has lots of friends, those kinds she made in school and wherever she goes. It's easier for her to make friends knowing who she is and what her parents do.
That moment she realized something, she turned around and watched the people behind her, those who follow her from behind, these people who tease her every day, they saw her at her lowest point, knows her secrets she didn't want others to know. She stood there in a daze, not moving. She looks like she is daydreaming.
"Yuri?" Angel asked.
"Hey, stupid pig, what happened to you?" Kaiser said.
"Hey," Bryan called her out of her reverie.
Yuri snapped out of her reverie, then looked around at them. All of them were looking at her. Raeven was curiously staring at her, Angel looked at her worriedly, Kiel was just looking, and Kaiser was waving his hand at her face. Then she looked at Bryan.
"What's wrong?" Bryan asked her.
She just shakes her head. Then turned around and ran away. ''Nothing! Let's go, I want to ride the pirate ship first,'' She said.
The people who were left there looked at her running back, still confused by her action.
"She's getting weirder," Kaiser said.
"If she's happy that way, let her be," Raeven said with a little smile on her face. Raeven followed Yuri with her eyes and can't help but feel jealous of how carefree Yuri can be. She wishes she had this kind of free spirit, just like her.
The first ride was on the pirate ship. The arrangement was this: the first rows were Kiel and Angel, the second, was Bryan and Yuri, and the last one was Raeven and Kaiser. Yuri was shrieking like someone was slaughtering her. Raeven had her eyes shut close. Her long black hair was messed with by the wind. Kaiser was watching her all the time. And for him, he has never seen a girl look so beautiful as Raeven look at the moment. A true infatuated boy…
Angel was just squinting to prevent the gust of cold wind from hurting her eyes. Despite that, she wanted to enjoy the ride. She had a nice smile on her pretty face, innocent as it can be, but she had this satisfied look on her face. Kiel was enjoying himself as well.
Well, that night would have been an enjoyable night for Yuri only if Kaiser didn't suggest going to a haunted house to finish their amusement park adventure.
"NO!" Yuri loudly and adamantly rejected the idea.
"Why not? We're already here anyway?" Kaiser said and didn't plan to back out.
"Let's just go home. It's already late, and we need to wake up early morning to cook breakfast, take a bath, pack up our stuff, and head home!" Yuri said this in the fastest way she could manage.
Kaiser snorted. "Says the girl who said she can ride all the rides here until dawn, and now we plan to go to a haunted house you're backing out? You're such a" Kaiser said, then stop himself from saying something when he remembered Raeven is beside her.
"I don't want to. Who knows what will happen In there? There's no way in" It is Yuri's turn to cut herself off. She just realized something. She looked at each one of them. There are three girls and three boys right now since Hayley went home already. AHA…
"Don't tell me the reason you want to go in there is… You imagined you are on a date with Rae Rae!" Yuri said, her voice becoming high and excited. Then she laughed so loud that all the people close by looked at her.
Kaiser was helpless at that moment, Great, now not only did they know he had a crush on Raeven, but even strangers now know. At that moment, all Kaiser wants to do was beat this stupid pig of a cousin right at that moment.
"Let's just line up. We're not here for the whole night bantering about things," Kiel said.
Then the group queued up and wait for their turn. Suddenly Raeven realized something. "Are we in pairs now?" She can't believe herself, she just noticed it too late.
Angel held her forehead, then shook her head. She didn't know if she will laugh or cry. "You just realize that?"
"Wait, who said we're in a pair?!" Yuri joined in and looked around her, and noticed that Reaven was right. She knew Kaiser like Raeven, but how about Kiel? "Do you like Angel, big brother?"
Kiel doesn't know what to say. This girl doesn't read between the lines and then announced the news to the world like she doesn't care.
Angel just looked the other way, pretending not to hear what they were talking about. Kiel cleared his throat. "Just coincidence..."
Yuri giggled, then whispered, "lame..."
When they entered the haunted house, Yuri didn't know what to do and just grabbed Raeven's arm and then yanked her to her side.
Kaiser looked at them. He can't believe this girl just robbed him of his date! He looked at Bryan for help, but Bryan only shrugged. Kaiser just sighed.
During their time there inside, all Yuri does was scream at the top of her lungs, sometimes she crouches down to her knees and put both her hands to her ears, then someone will tug her arms to help her up, then she will cling to that person like a Koala bear. For Yuri, it took an eternity before they reached the exit; the person was already carrying her out.
"Goodness, I think this pig damaged my eardrums," Kaiser complained.
"Yuri, you can come down now," Angel said.
Only then did Yuri realize she has been carried out of that horrible place. She almost cried out, Raven carried her out, she's dead! However, when she looked up, it was not Raeven's face she came up face to face with, but Bryan's.
And the world stops at that moment…
"ROGUE!"
And that night ended with a bunch of noisy teenagers along the way home.

Meanwhile, Hayley, who went home together with Damon cooped up in her bedroom and didn't go out there until Damon left. On the way home, they were silent. Hayley applauded Damon for being such a considerate person. He asks nothing; he was just there and he let her be.
She can't forget what happened that afternoon up the mountain. It feels like it will haunt her for a long time. It opened a wound that she thought healed. It was like an invisible band-aid ripped off without warning. She didn't know that there will come one day when she will see him again… His ghost was haunting her. She is sure that she will have nightmares again.
Her phone lit up. It has been lighting up since on the way home. She gets it and found that there were several messages there. She read them one by one.
Ice Beauty: Have a safe ride home. Don't think too much. Take care.
The Kindest Girl I Know: Hayley, it's me, Angel, get a lot of sleep, you don't need to tell us anything, and we will not ask, just take care of yourself and just know that we are here for you whenever you need us.
Hayley almost laughed. This girl thought she didn't save her number, silly.
Adorable Silly Bunny: Ley-Ley, what happened? Why are you upset? You don't have to tell me yet, no pressure. But your fiance is really handsome up close, lucky! Take care and have a good night of beautiful sleep. See you at school! Mwah!
With that message, a genuine smile slips out her lips. This girl is really weird.
Another message was from the office of the headmaster notifying her about the midterm exam...
Lastly, she saw a message from her uncle.
Clumsy Uncle Chris: Hey, you brat! How dare you didn't mention that little wimp is your fiance? I don't agree! I forbid you! Come to my house on Monday after your class and let's settle this!
Hayley looked at this message. She frowned. Since when does her marriage have been settled? She didn't know she was already engaged. Nothing's official yet! The reason she rides on those girls' words was to tease them, that's all. She smirked. She then replied to the message. Why are you so agitated about my marriage? Are you envying I will get married before you? It's your fault you can't find a girl to marry. Anyway, that's dad's decision. Call him if you have a problem with that.
After she sent it, it only took a few seconds and her phone rang, it was her uncle. She laughed and turned off her phone. She knows she's dead come by Monday.
