Hayley was not alone after the welcome ceremony either, in fact, she already collected girls who were fangirling over her famous model of a mother. Sometimes she thought it was the only thing that keeps her from being alienated from others, the fact that she is indifferent to anyone.
She was in deep thought and didn't notice that there was a girl sh3e’s about to collide with until they bump into each other.
"Hey, watch where you're going!" The girl yelled at her. The girl was holding her forehead while glaring at her.
Hayley looked at the girl for a second. She doesn't know how to react. This is the first time someone bumped into her and was not a boy. And not intentionally at that. "I-I'm sorry?" She said sarcastically. Because there was no way in hell it was her fault why they bump into each other. She was sure this petite-looking girl belonged to those dumb rich girls who passed the entrance exam using a back door.
Yuri was irritated. Never in her whole life would anyone bump into her and act like a queen. Queen Hayley would be an exception. "Sure thing, you know how to say sorry." She said, There was a touch of sarcasm again in her voice again, but because her voice was sweet it was hard to tell. "Don't you know how to say sorry sincerely when it was your fault for spacing out? Don't your parents teach you that?"
Hayley arched her beautifully threaded eyebrow, "Sorry is sorry. I already said it. You would rather make me call my parents and beg for your forgiveness, wouldn't you?" She said in her calm and low voice; with no emotion at all.
Yuri had enough. This arrogant goddess was hopeless. She will never let this thing happen again. It would be better if they never cross paths ever again but somewhere along the line, they might as well blame destiny who put them together in one place. So, it was inevitable to not cross paths sooner rather than later.
That's Yuri Rivera, she is the only daughter of the famous beauty salon in the country. The Fairest salon. It was very popular, and even celebrity makeup artists and stylists came from that salon. I go to their salon once a week." One of the girls she met in the ceremony began chatting with her. She knew about the salon. How could she not know?
She knows what that girl thinks of her now, but so what? It can’t be helped. She was sarcastic and straightforward. No word wasted. You can also say that she talks without filter, though she doesn't care. They finally entered their classroom. She takes in her new environment. This is it, her new life at this school. But why did she get the feeling that from now on it will not be the same as before? It was unsettling. She shrugs it off there's no room dwelling on something there's no answer to and only God knows.
The class started, and the infamous self-introduction began. She saw the girl she bumped into along the great hall. She knows there is nothing good with these coincidences on the first day. She looked at the girl who looked dumb with her smiling face. What's wrong with this girl always smiling and being friendly to everyone? Doesn't she know that all the girls here are made of plastic? Yep, including herself. Her bubbly personality. It was irritating for no reason.
"My name is Raeven Marguerite Amano. I'm 15 years old and..." The hot-looking girl said. Hayley can see that this girl is so pretty, with phoenix eyes and silky with slightly wavy hair that reaches her slim waist. Hayley thought, she doesn't look like 15 looking at that curvaceous body. She bet this girl was a hot topic among boys. Well, just like her. But she will give her the title of Ms. Curves. She already is.
"My hobbies are reading books, painting and going to different places depending on my mood. I enjoy traveling alone. I also enjoy playing the piano, my grandmother's influence. I think that's all. There's nothing much to learn about me, besides we'll be spending a long time with each other to get to know each other, right?"
"In case your grades don't grant you a special place in the academy if that's what you mean." Their teacher jokingly butts in. She’s talking about the special class and then, the class became lively after that.
After that, Hayley's turn came next. She stood up and walked in the aisle, turned in front of the girls, and spoke with less enthusiasm. "Hey, everyone, my name is Hayley Dawn Guevarra, 15 years old. I rarely have a specific hobby, I just do what I want and sometimes it changes now and then. But like most of you, I also enjoy traveling alone. She said then slightly paused, "I have a white mouse. He's 2 years old. I play guitar."
It was the only thing that she had since it was a thing that her beloved little brother picked for her at an old store before he died, she doesn't know but sometimes she felt that he was not gone, like, he was always by her side, and so she holds on to that guitar, and no matter how old that thing was she cherished it more than any expensive gifts her parents had ever given her, everything aside, screw it all...
"And that's it, my introduction," Hayley said. She looked around and was surprised to see a plain-looking student in this kind of place. This girl was wearing the same uniform as everyone does, but still, she stands out but not in an embarrassing way, she's not even wearing any makeup or jewelry or heels but she is pretty. The first thing that Hayley noticed about her was her eyes: she was caught by the almond-shaped eyes of this plain-looking girl. Something tells her that this girl has a true to honest face she has ever seen.
Before Hayley could sit down, she walked in the middle and made eye to eye contact with the idiot-looking girl. She just smiles at her and then goes past the girl and sits elegantly at her chair. Yuri just rolled her eyes. Then, before she looked in front, she fixed herself and then smiled at everyone-except the queen bee. "Hello everyone, I'm Yuri Iris Rivera. I'm 15 years old. My hobbies are photography, traveling, eating a lot, and hanging out with friends. I have a pet dog: he's a golden retriever, his name is Achi. I'm looking forward to being friends with everyone," She said with a smile, except you b*tch of a goddess, she added mentally, she knows that it's wrong to cuss but she was annoyed. "Let's do our best!"
The introduction continued, then the third to the last student quietly stood up, straightened her skirt, gracefully walked in the middle, and stood in front. Some of those girls even snickered softly, Raeven rolled her eyes while Hayley just checked her perfectly peach-colored manicured nails while Yuri just smiled at the girl.
"I'm Angel Louise Samonte. 15 years old. My hobbies are playing the piano, reading books and painting. I enjoy traveling with my family and friends, it was nice to be with family and with some friends as I find it very relaxing, don't you think?" Some girls just laugh and some don't care. "I'm also part of a choir in our church. It was a youth ministry formed for youths and we travel a lot together, we go to far-reaching places to help people." Angel was a little nervous; she didn’t know how much to let on and when to hold back. She doesn't want to look like the most righteous person ever. "We also help some out-of-school youth and help small barangays to build learning centers. Some of us go back and teach youths how to read and write. It was fun. Okay, I think that was enough. I hope we all get along together." Hayley. even heard some mean girls that said Angel was the one who spoke the longest and with all her holy nonsense...
Now Hayley understood the meaning of the aura she sensed in this peculiar girl. No wonder she was plain, she's a God-girl. She snorted just by thinking about it. Holy Maiden still exists.
The introduction was over and after the discussion; they heard the bell ring; it was time for lunch. Hayley was with the same girls from earlier, these girls just attached themselves to her because she was the most popular girl right now. And together they go to the cafeteria. It was already crowded with girls and fewer seats available, so they let Hayley take a seat and secure a table while the others would get their meal. Hayley was lucky enough to spot an available table and guarded the spot while waiting for those girls to come with their lunch.
While waiting, she saw two familiar faces who were also looking for vacant seats. She looked at them then smiled. She tried to offer the extra seats since she was lucky that she got a six-seater.
Angel understands what Hayley said to her, she tugs the girl's arm beside her "Rae, our classmate was kind enough to offer seats for us."
Hayley also looked at the other girl that has an aura of a queen. she raised her brow, her majesty looked hesitant?
She snorted, "if you don't want, hell I care, I'm not being kind, mind you." She mumbled to herself. "Well, as they say... the more the merrier," Suddenly the girl that has an aura of a queen said.
Hayley looked at the girl with long black hair. Suddenly, she sees herself looking at her.
